After exiting the subway station, you need to walk up the road to the mountain. The mountain is not very high, but there is a slightly steep section. Along the way, there are charming houses and hydrangeas. The shrine itself is not very remarkable, but its location serves as an observation deck where you can overlook the entire city of Fukuoka, especially the coastal scenery along Fukuoka Tower. After visiting, you can descend from the other side and continue walking towards Fukuoka Tower. The streets along the way are quiet, and with the blue sky like in a manga, it's very picturesque. ✅Atago Bridge: Not really a tourist spot, but it's the estuary of the Muromi River with a wide view. A must visit when you are in Fukuoka. A marvellous piece of architecture, in triangular cross-section, affording excellent views all around from 123m height !! The view on the deck is amazing.I went in the morning and the view is so beautiful.On the deck u have love lock and Fukuoka coin where you can print your name and date you have visited on it. The views from the observation deck at 123 meters high (403 feet) are spectacular! And there are instagrammable spots at the 116 meter floor including a heart-shaped arch (they even provide you with a perch for your phone about 15 feet away for the perfect selfie). Definitely 5 stars for the views. However, there are only two elevators available, and I wish they were both larger and faster because the queue to get up took at least 20 minutes. #GiveThanks
