Sunday on the islands.

I actually went to Seongmodo right next to to Ganghwado. You do however have to go through Ganghwado on your way. There's a small village right before the bridge on Ganghwado that is quite lovely and cute. There are vendors selling their produce there. Seongmodo is easily accessible by car from Seoul. I mainly went for the natural water hotspring that is outdoors. There's also a temple that offers nice views of the surrounding sea. The hotspring is very nice especially when the temperature is a bit chilly! Keep on mind it does have opening hours and you must get there before it opens to secure a spot, otherwise you will be refused entry. Overall a very relaxing and good place to visit. #weekend #getaway

The cafe Irim, which we visited during our drive in Ganghwa Island, had a truly beautiful garden. The landscaping made it feel like we were in an arboretum, and the large cafe was perfect for family visits. Thanks to the spacious parking lot, we could use the cafe without any parking worries. It was an ideal place to relax and spend time, blending perfectly with the nature of Ganghwa Island. I highly recommend it as a perfect spot to take a break during your trip to Ganghwa Island! The hanok is very elegant and stylish, and the spacious yard ensures that you never feel confined. The unique atmosphere of the hanok is particularly charming, making you feel as if you've visited a countryside home when dining inside. The recommended menu item is the patbingsu (shaved ice with red beans). Made with homemade red beans and high-quality milk, the patbingsu has a rich and savory flavor.
