💗Other tips:
The Gannan tourist loop attracts many travelers with its beautiful scenery, treacherous roads, and the mystery of Tibetan Buddhist temples. However, many backpackers make a cognitive mistake by thinking that Langmusi is the name of a temple.
Before reading the January and February 2016 issues of 'China National Geography,' I always thought that 'Langmusi' was a temple when I saw the name. Backpackers also thought it was the name of a temple, right?
But in fact, 'Langmusi' is the name of this small town, and there is no Langmusi temple in Langmusi Town. This is a magical town with a history of over a thousand years.
This is the intersection of the Tang-Fan Ancient Road and the Tea-Horse Ancient Road. The main temples in Langmusi Town now are 'Geerdi Temple,' 'Gandan Saichi Temple,' and 'Langmusi Mosque' (Figure 4).
Additionally, this town is unique as it is jointly managed by Sichuan and Gansu. Geerdi Temple belongs to Sichuan, while Gandan Saichi Temple belongs to Gansu. (There is a detailed introduction to Langmusi Town in the January and February 2016 Gansu special issues of 'China National Geography.' Interested friends can find and read it, which will greatly enhance your understanding and knowledge accumulation of this magical town. If you can't find the physical book, you can read the electronic version by downloading the official app.)
Figure 5 is Geerdi Temple, with a ticket price of 30 yuan per person, and cars can drive in. Langmusi Mosque is diagonally opposite the main gate of Geerdi Temple. The coexistence of temples of different beliefs is one of the magical features of Langmusi. Now that I think about it, the biggest regret of my trip to Gannan in 2021 is not staying overnight in Langmusi Town, not exploring the canyon behind Geerdi Temple, and not visiting Gandan Saichi Temple. The Namo Grand Canyon behind Geerdi Temple is the source of the Bailong River, with clear water and shallow streams, warm in winter and cool in summer.

🏞
"Exploring the mysterious Tibetan culture, appreciating the sacred Buddhist faith, all of this can be perfectly experienced at Langmu Temple."
🌠
Langmu Temple town is situated at an altitude of 3500 meters, located between Gannan Luqu County in Gansu and Aba in Sichuan, with the Bailong River running through the town. There are two temples in Langmu Temple town, one in Gansu, called 'Dacang Langmu Saichi Temple', and one in Sichuan, called 'Gerdi Temple'; both temples belong to the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The Gansu temple is larger in scale, built against the mountain, with more magnificent architecture, resplendent in gold, especially dazzling when the sun shines, glittering with gold; the Sichuan temple mainly features the natural landscape - Namo Grand Canyon.
🎆Little Tips:
Langmu Temple town really has everything, convenience stores, restaurants (barbecue, Tibetan meals, Sichuan cuisine are all available, and extremely popular, all requiring waiting, haha), and even pharmacies where you can buy oxygen bottles for backup. It's worth mentioning that the weather in Luqu is noticeably colder than in Xiahe, so cold that I immediately put on a down jacket, feeling like entering winter overnight.
💰Ticket Price:
🎫The ticket for Dacang Langmu Saichi Temple (Gansu Temple) is 30 yuan per person, parking is 5 yuan per time. Overall, Saichi Temple feels more relaxed compared to Labrang Monastery.

Gannan Self-driving 8-day Tour - Day 6 of self-driving in Gannan on August 6:
Route: Aba County - Langyi Monastery - Gerdeng Monastery - Gemu Monastery - Niangma Monastery - Langmu Monastery Town
The full route strategy is on the homepage.
This day was spent wandering through various Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, where one can feel the devout faith of the Tibetan people.
Gerdeng Monastery is my favorite monastery on this Gannan circuit. Even during the summer holidays, there are almost no tourists here, only locals. Gerdeng Monastery is a large area where you can freely walk around and feel the rare relaxation of the moment.
After I finished paying respects to the Buddha statue in the stupa, a lama at the door stopped me and gave me holy water to drink with my hands cupped. Sometimes it's these little details on the journey that can touch you.
Navigation: Directly navigate to Gerdeng Monastery, which is very close inside Aba County.
Parking: Parking is easy, with a simple parking lot that charges 5 yuan per time. For free parking, drive to the front of the monastery, where you can also drive inside, but I think it feels better to walk in.
Admission: 0 yuan, not a charged attraction, you can wander around freely.
Note:
1. Many lamas do not like cameras pointed at them. If they cover their faces with their robes, please do not take their pictures. I didn't encounter any lamas covering their faces with robes at Gerdeng Monastery, but I did at Labrang Monastery later.
2. Gerdeng Monastery is suitable for a leisurely visit and will be a beautiful start to the day.

The beautiful Gedi Temple is located in Sichuan, the junction of Gansu Province and the two provinces. It stands quietly on a beautiful hill. Opposite the temple is another temple in Gansu, Langmu Temple. At the foot of the Geerdi Temple, it is rapidly approaching modern civilization. The Tibetan residents here live a quiet and peaceful farming and pastoral life. On the vast pastures of
Gerdi, the herdsmen riding horses roam wildly on the green pastures. When the afternoon sun passes through the clouds and hangs over this beautiful pasture, the herders are galloping like an unreal dream.
Walk on the beautiful plateau and experience the simplicity, this is indeed a unique picture. Especially popular, and the soul of the dream is the red wall small courtyard, Tibetans dressed in traditional costumes walk through it, very poetic and artistic. The greatness of the
Gerdi Temple lies not only in the spectacular scenes present today, but also in the great wisdom of the local Tibetan people it condenses; the beauty of Geerdi is not only the magnificence of the appearance, but also the exquisite An unforgettable and wonderful decoration.
In the morning and the bright sunshine, sprinkled on the green earth, the early bird, standing quietly on the fence, made a very beautiful tweet. Devoted monks guard this beautiful temple. Their faces are always filled with a kind smile, warmly welcoming guests from far away.
In the blue sky, the clouds are moving. The plateau eagle flutters in the distant sky and crosses a beautiful arc. Kay plays the song of the bright plateau. Quietly located in the pasture at the foot of the mountain, shrouded in golden sunlight
