Jang Ban Min Worship Hall... Son Tay
Located in the center of Deungreum Village, the 'Jang Ban Min Worship Hall' is a memorial hall that praises Jang Ban Min, a historical figure of Vietnam, and also serves as an educational place to instill patriotism in the younger generation. He was born in Mongph Village in 1573 and died in 1638. In 1628, he passed the state examination with top honors, took on important positions in the court, and in 1637, he was dispatched as an envoy to the Ming Dynasty. There, with his wisdom and courage, he tried to uphold Vietnam's honor against the Ming Dynasty's insulting attitude. However, he was envied for his spirit and was killed by the Ming Dynasty. Later, his body was returned to his hometown and he received a grand funeral. This worship hall is an important place designated as a cultural heritage by the state for its historical and cultural value and architectural art symbolism.
