Wow The animal museum
The animal museum in the zoo is one of the oldest museums in the Middle East, as it was established in 1906, and includes models of rare mummified animals, skeletons, skins, and skulls of most wild animals, birds, and reptiles.
It contains 1,800 species of rare and extinct animals, including mummified mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. The "Animal Museum of the Zoo", located in the heart of the Giza Zoo, includes extinct animals from more than 100 years.#animal #museum #giza #zoo #cairo #egypt

wow giza zoo
Giza Zoo or Zoo Animals in Giza was established in 1891 AD. It is the largest zoo in Egypt and the Middle East, and the first and oldest zoo in Africa. It has been called the "crown jewel of African zoos.
He ordered its establishment by Khedive Ismail. It was inaugurated in the year 1891 by Khedive Muhammad Tawfiq, son of Khedive Ismail. It started by displaying imported flowers and plants that do not exist in the Egyptian nature. There are about six thousand animals of about 175 species in the park, including rare types of crocodiles and wild cows.#giza #zoo #egypt #cairo
Giza Zoological museum was fantastic, so clean and cared for the gardens leading inside were also beautiful, so many animal skeletons and mummies inside, you have a guide with you to point the good stuff out and to stop you touching things, lots of information inside and an amazing whale skeleton. lots and lots of very old taxidermy animals, well worth a visit, Giza zoo on the other hand needs a massive refurbishment
