👉Attractions
St. Alexeyev Church
Built in 1931, it is a typical Russian-style building. It was originally an Orthodox church, and was converted into a Catholic church after restoration in 1980. St. Alexeyev Church was originally a military church in Gongzhuling. After the defense was transferred, it was moved here with the Russian army. On February 25, 1912, a wooden church was built on the current site (demolished on July 13, 2000, when the surrounding environment was renovated). In October 1930, a brick and stone church was built next to the wooden church, and it was completed on October 6, 1935. After the reform and opening up, the relevant departments carried out a comprehensive renovation of the church and assigned it to the Harbin Catholic Church. During Christmas in 1980, the church was officially opened to the public.
.
Russian River Park
"Russian River Park" is built on the banks of the Majia River, between Gogol Street and Guangmang Bridge. The park spans 108 meters, with shopping and dining on both sides of the river. The overall planning and construction have a European style, making it a great place for taking photos.
.
Qiulin Company
This Qiulin Foreign Firm, completed in 1908, is located at the intersection of Dongdazhi Street and Gogol Street. It is an old shopping mall in Harbin. When I was a child, the most famous thing here was Qiulin Red Sausage, which was also a specialty brought back by relatives and friends from Harbin. From here, you can also go to the three churches on Dongdazhi Street. The location is very good.

▼St. Alexeyev Church
At the beginning of the 20th century, Harbin was a city immersed in the sound of church bells. St. Alexeyev Church was born in this context. The church was built in 1931. It was originally an Orthodox church. After being repaired in 1980, it was changed to a Catholic church.
The roof has a Baroque tower, an onion-shaped bell tower, and a cathedral. There is a cross on the bell tower, tower, and cathedral. The green roof, red and white walls, and rich decorative lines make up the whole church, which is very elegant under the sunlight.
▼Gogol Hotel
Next to St. Alexeyev Church is Gogol Hotel. The statue at the entrance of the hotel is a bust of Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol. Gogol is the founder of Russian 19th-century critical realism literature and the founder of "naturalist" literature. His representative works include "The Inspector" and "Dead Souls". The statue was set up on Gogol Street because the street was named after him, and to commemorate his outstanding contribution to the literary field, it also adds a cultural atmosphere and artistic atmosphere to this street with historical and cultural heritage.

Autumn in Harbin – A Leisurely Walking Tour in the City
In September, I visited Harbin to experience the city's atmosphere and slow-paced life. When I was planning my trip to Harbin, many people asked why I didn't wait until winter. Firstly, I am very afraid of the cold. If I am going to tour the city, most of it will be on foot, and it would be difficult for me to slowly appreciate the city's scenery in freezing weather. My previous experiences of traveling in the northern winter scared me, so I decided to enjoy the beauty of Harbin in autumn.
City tours are unhurried. We visited major attractions, including Central Street, Songhua River, Hongzhuan Street Morning Market, Saint Sophia Cathedral, Zhongchuang Bookstore, Gogol Street, Harbin Museum, Heilongjiang Museum, and Zhonghua Baroque Street. My favorite was the Harbin Museum, not only because of its extensive collection of exhibits, both modern and nostalgic, but also because we had the rare opportunity to see the Celebrity Handwriting Gallery. In the gallery, we saw the handwriting of Hu Shi, Zhang Xueliang, Ba Jin, Xu Zhimo, Bing Xin, and others, which was very precious to us who grew up reading their works. We unknowingly spent three hours in the museum.
Although Saint Sophia Cathedral is beautiful and offers musical performances inside, the Alekseyev Church on Gogol Street is also very attractive. The red church is very appealing, with fewer tourists, allowing for plenty of photo opportunities. Additionally, we ate as we walked, visiting Lu Yu and Yu Sheng Café. Their coffee, food, service, and environment were all very satisfying. Although I didn't see Harbin's beautiful winter, the autumn scenery was equally romantic and beautiful. I enjoyed walking slowly and appreciating its beauty.

Gogol Street
Gogol Street is a famous commercial street in Nangang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. It was established in 1901 and has a history of over a hundred years.
As early as the beginning of the 20th century, with the construction of the Middle East Railway, the embryonic form of Gogol Street began to take shape around the St. Nicholas Church Square in the center of Harbin.
In 1902, to expand its business, the Qiulin Company moved its branch from Xiangfang District to the intersection of Dazhi Street and Gogol Street in Nangang District, and built a department store. Since then, many Russian businesses, pharmacies, and others have sprung up around the Qiulin Company. Gogol Street gradually began to solidify and prosper.
