The hotel is in a great location, right by Tiantong Road Metro Station (Line 3). The Shanghai Postal Museum is right across the street, and the Waibaidu Bridge and Suzhou Creek are within walking distance.

The hotel building was built in 1934 and was once the tallest building in the Far East. It was also the first hotel built and managed by a Chinese company. The hotel exterior is a historic building and can only be repainted, not changed, so it still has the look of a 1930s Shanghai building.
✅Rooms
The rooms are classic, elegant, fresh, bright, comfortable, and cozy, with great privacy. The furniture and lighting details are very warm and comfortable. However, due to the original structure of the building, there is no public space on the guest room floors. After all, the building is over 80 years old, and the hotel needs to design a comfortable environment without affecting the original structure and appearance.

Opened in 2010, the Rockbund Art Museum (RAM) is a non-profit arts organization in Shanghai.
Housed in an Art Deco building originally built for the Royal Asiatic Society in 1932, this historic building has been restored and refurbished by David Chipperfield Architects.
The museum is located close to the riverfront and the main promenade.

If I could only recommend one hotel in Shanghai, I would choose Capella Shanghai, Jian Ye Li. Compared to the luxury of the Waldorf and the nobility of the Peace Hotel, it has a stronger Shanghai style and a more homely and private feel.
I love its unique architectural structure. The Shikumen Lilong combines traditional Jiangnan architecture and European terraced house layout. The charm of the three-story old western-style house is really fascinating.
The interior style is also completely in line with my aesthetics. It is a design model that perfectly combines Chinese elements and French elegance. The Republic of China-style lattice windows, three-dimensional flower and bird paintings, the natural transition from the patio to the living room, and the dreamy and elegant furniture and color matching.
The location is also cleverly chosen, quiet and commercial. Every time I come, I will choose a restaurant nearby that I can walk to, stroll around, and feel comfortable.

Recommendation for Shanghai Tourism Hotel! Experience of staying at Shanghai Bund Yujinxiang New Asia Hotel
This trip stayed in Shanghai for four days and three nights, flipped through the hotels on the Bund, and finally chose the Shanghai Bund Yujinxiang New Asia Hotel near the North Bund.
Yujinxiang belongs to Jinjiang International Group, the North Bund has a long history of opening, renovated in 2016, although the time is relatively long, but the hotel is quite new. The location of the hotel is also very good, on the edge of the North Bund, you can quickly get to nearby places such as the Postal Museum, Zhapu Road Bridge, Waibaidu Bridge.
Booked two nights of superior twin room + family room on Ctrip, two nights per capita 💰530, noted when booking to help arrange rooms with good views as much as possible.
After checking in, the superior room is on the fifth floor, the room near the road, you can see the retro building of the Shanghai Post Office Museum opposite (Figure 5).

Yujinxiang New Asia Hotel is the former New Asia Hotel, which is said to be an old Shanghai landmark building with a history of more than 80 years.
