Xinjiang | I'm back from the snow in Urumqi

This journey really amazed me, especially the straight road windmill snow mountain, which gives a feeling of pretending to be abroad. After passing the Urumqi toll inspection station from the G30 national highway, the right side is the Tianshan mountain range all the way, and the left side is the winding snow mountain all the way. I was a bit disappointed at first, because the snow mountain scenery I wanted to shoot was all on the left side. On a whim, I saw that the ticket for the Tianshan Grand Canyon plus the interval car was only 58 yuan, so I decisively navigated there. I didn't expect to go directly to the winding snow mountain after going around the toll station. It's so beautiful. There is no cause and effect in the world. Many people can only walk silently on the path of kindness and misfortune, and finally hide all kinds of helplessness in the world with a faint self-mockery or complete silence.

Day 0- Arrival in the hotel and just explore the neighborhood you’re in. Try local snacks right away. The lamb skewers taste divine in Xinjiang so please don’t miss this paired with Nang bread . Visit the International Grand Bazaar and have your dinner there. It is so vibrant and you can shop there until you drop. 😊 Day 1- we have booked a tour to the Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountains. Trip app offers tickets and shuttle bus tickets so just have a look through the app. Your hotel and hostel will have recommendations for tour operators for you anyway. If you are an anxious person, better book in advance but I don’t think they ever run out of tickets coz there aren’t a lot of tourists in Urumqi and it’s scenic spots yet. 7:30 was out call time at the meeting point. No worries, they will contact you in advance for this tour’s instructions. This is pretty much whole day activity so do not book any other stuff on the same day. Day 2- another full day tour. This time , you will go to the most and highly recommended tourist spot in Urumqi which is the Heavenly Lake. This is also a guided tour. Trip app has available offers for this too but then again you can also book through your hostel or hotel. Seriously, Heavenly lake and its surrounding mountain is like a massive painting. You will arrive back to tour hotel in the evening already so depending on your energy level you can go for a cultural show in the international grand bazaar. Tip: If you are visiting around september - November, the temperature in the canyon is really cold. It was -3 when we were there and the city center was only around 10. So wrap up and keep warm.
