[2024 Vancouver Attraction] Travel Guide for Granville Island (Updated Dec)

【Granville Island】This island, with its strong artistic atmosphere, is especially irresistible when the weather is clear with its vibrant colors! I usually take the kids to 【Kids Market】 to have some fun, where there's an indoor playground, a hair salon, and lots of shops selling things for kids. We also visit the 【Granville Island Public Market】 to browse the big market, where the seafood and fruits are very fresh, and there's a wide variety of meats and cheeses, as well as all sorts of local homemade products like honey, chocolate, nuts, etc. The famous donut shop 【Lee's Donuts Granville Island】 is also here! There are many seafood restaurants, and one we often go to is 【The Vancouver Fish Company】 by the lake, which has a great view and fresh seafood; the seafood pasta is a must-order every time! The other restaurants are also good. There's a food court, and on a nice day, you can buy some tasty food and eat it on the benches by the lake, watching street performers, but be careful not to let the pigeons snatch your food! Visitors can also take watercraft here as a means of transportation across to the other side, enjoying the beautiful scenery on the water. A very pleasant afternoon just passes by.

I had a tasty experience exploring Granville Island in Vancouver. Getting to the island using public transport (bus) wasn’t the easiest but we opted for it anyway as it was more economical than parking on Granville Island. We had our lunch at the Public Market, where we found a table on the sundeck overlooking False Creek and Granville Bridge. We ordered a clam chowder to share and it was a creamy delight, literally a taste of the ocean! The cod fish and chips from Celine’s Fish and Chips were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. For dessert, we had Lee’s Donuts, which had a long but quick moving queue, and a box of Nanaimo Bar, which we were told were a Canadian favourite! #WinHKFlight #winhkflight To me, Hong Kong is a melting pot of culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to ride the Peak Tram, spend a day in Ocean Park, chill on the beaches of Shek O and...so much more!

Now everyone can still see its full industrial atmosphere. Some abandoned railway and factory-renovated art district reminds me of Miami's graffiti art district, decadent and fashionable. Like all ports, there are groups of pigeons taking a leisurely walk and people are enjoying the port. How can there be less street performers in such a romantic place, and the afterglow of the sunset at 5 o'clock in the afternoon is reflected in the old man's face, the music is slowly flowing, and the singing is melted. Public Market must go there, selling fresh fruit, cheese, cakes, chocolate, seafood and more. Of course, the price will not be too cheap, everyone asks the price and then buy it. There is also the Granville Island Brewery built in 1984. You can taste beer and learn about the brewing process. It recommends Canada's unique maple syrup and honey-brewed beer, which is smooth and rich. You can also go to Lees Donuts, Liberty Distillery, and the Granville Island Broom Company.

Granville Island, located under the Granville Bridge, is one of Vancouver's most popular spots. GRANVILLE ISLAND A market with over 50 stores! It seems that not only tourists but also locals visit! There are delicious-looking fruits, cakes, and various other goods, so I think I stayed for more than half a day😌! If I have another chance to go to Vancouver, this is definitely a place I want to visit again! A car might be convenient, but you can get there in about 20 minutes by bus from the city center! It was such an amazing trip to go to grandville island in Vancouver using just public transport! It was very convenient travelling there and such an amazing experience, almost like a theme park! A lot of cute little shops, though a bit overpriced. Restaurants with fresh fish available, so that was refreshing! There are a lot of lights around Christmas time I think, so definitely recommend going if you’re in the area! Usually street singers too which enhance the whole e experience.

Granville Island is a must visit if you are visiting Vancouver. It is easily accessible by public transportation. Google map will get you here. There are many boutique shops you can browse about. Most of their cashiers are very friendly and will chat you up. There is a market area where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits. We came a little late and didn’t have time to go to the produce area as we stopped by the food court first to fill our stomachs. The market closes at 6:00pm. There are many restaurants around. Some were opening live music. There is a theatre for live comedy show.
