Graduation commemorative photo @ Greenwich London
First of all, I must clarify that I am not a graduate of the Royal Naval College; I graduated from UAL, the University of the Arts London 😂 I simply came here to take a graduation photo.
I can't express my fondness for the Greenwich area in too many words. It was one of my most frequent walking spots in the past.
The full name of the Greenwich area is the Royal Borough of Greenwich, indicating that it is a royal borough. There are only four areas in London that have been granted the title of 'royal borough'.
Greenwich is often translated as 'Greenwich', but in many British place names, the 'w' is actually silent, so 'Greenwich' is more accurate.
In 1997, UNESCO listed the 'Maritime Greenwich' area on the World Heritage List, including the Royal Naval College in Greenwich and the architectural complex related to the coast and navigation, the Queen's House, Greenwich Park, etc.
The Royal Naval College in Greenwich was even a filming location for movies like 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.
The grand architecture vividly brings to life the glory of the British Navy during the Victorian era.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich
Greenwich is also translated as 'Greenwich', but in many place names in London, the 'w' is not pronounced, so translating it as 'Greenwich' is closer to the original pronunciation.
The full name of the Greenwich area is the Royal Borough of Greenwich, indicating that it is a royal borough. There are only four areas in all of London that have been granted the title of 'royal borough'.
An area granted this honor is referred to as a royal precinct, representing the dignity and nobility of the royal family. The naval relics from the World War II period here are very well-known. In 1997, UNESCO listed the 'Maritime Greenwich' area as a World Heritage Site, including the Royal Naval College of Greenwich and related buildings along the coast and for navigation, the Queen's House, Greenwich Park, and more.
The Royal Naval College of Greenwich is also a filming location for movies such as 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

Greenwich Park
Queen's House is free and worth a visit, at the top of the hill is the Royal Observatory and on a sunny day you can sunbathe on the park lawn.
The Royal Observatory requires an entrance fee, but you can also enjoy the best views from the stands without entering, the city lights up beautifully after sunset. ❤️

Greenwich Park in London - favourite spot
#meetlondon #london #visitlondon #greenwich #park
Greenwich Park is our favourite park in London. We love cycling in the park or just exploring the area and enjoying the views.
It's very scenic if you go to Greenwich by boat on the river Thames. The cheapest way to do this is on the Thames Clipper. The park is beautiful and very well maintained and the views towards London are simply superb.
Let us know if you have been there and what your enjoyed the most.
