Besides the permanent Thirteen Hongs Museum, the park also hosts seasonal events such as the Spring Festival Lantern Show and the Yangcheng Chrysanthemum Exhibition. Additionally, there are art exhibitions in the gallery that are updated periodically and often overlooked. If you pass by, you might want to check them out.

The second 'Unfazed by the Unusual' art exhibition
'Unfazed by the Unusual' gets weird again this year.
In the contemporary era, computer AI is prevalent, and almost any painting can be created by artificial intelligence. Art should not be uniform; it needs individuals to be quirky and create an atmosphere.
The art exhibition 'Unfazed by the Unusual', held by Lin Junsheng, Wang Lizhong, He Xuhuo, and Pan Fang, shows us that the works are honestly created following artistic principles, seeking their own path in the journey of art, but this path is a unique and rugged one. Choosing this path over the broad and easy one is indeed a bit unusual.

Disabled in body, but not in spirit — Chen Cuibing's Retrospective Exhibition of Papercutting Art
Chen Cuibing is a disabled craftsperson who firmly believes in the philosophy of 'changing fate with her own hands, and shaping life with art.' For 23 years, through relentless effort, she has achieved remarkable success in the field of traditional culture. As an inheritor of the Guangfu papercutting intangible cultural heritage, she has persisted in creating papercut works and has been spreading the culture of papercutting to the public on various occasions. In the process, she has not only harvested a large collection of papercutting artworks but also won the affection of many citizens.
Over the years, Chen Cuibing has paid close attention to society and the lives of disabled people, tirelessly exploring and pioneering new themes in traditional papercutting. More than a decade ago, she created a series of works related to disabled sports, combining the unique movements and dance postures of disabled athletes, making the works innovative. Later, she created 12 pieces of 'Disabled Wheelchair Tai Chi,' using flowers that bloom in different months of the year as a backdrop on white paper umbrellas, making the works shine brilliantly, and many media outlets have reported on this.
Chen Cuibing not only focuses on papercutting creation but also on the training of papercutting art. She is very enthusiastic about being a cultural volunteer, dragging her disabled legs, and actively participating in various papercutting activities in communities, nurturing and encouraging everyone, so that the intangible cultural heritage of papercutting can be better passed down.

Treasure places in Guangzhou where you can hang out for a day without spending money!
Liwan District's Guangzhou Culture Park is one of my favorite parks, not only because of the life atmosphere of the old city area~ but also the famous Thirteen Hongs Museum, which has recently introduced many trendy art shops and markets, it's a great place to hang out for a day~
The buildings in the Culture Park look old, but they have a great history!
This place was originally the site of the Thirteen Hongs merchant area in the Qing Dynasty. In the 1950s, exhibition halls were built to hold the 'South China Local Specialties Exhibition and Exchange Conference', which was the earliest Canton Fair! Later it became the Lingnan Culture Palace, opened as a public park, Guangzhou's important flower, cultural and art exhibitions are held here, becoming a very important cultural space for the citizens of Guangzhou~
Recommended check-in route:
1️⃣Chrysanthemum Exhibition: The recent chrysanthemum exhibition gathers chrysanthemums of various varieties from all over the world, distributed throughout the park, it can be described as 'the city is full of golden armor', the chrysanthemum-themed cultural and creative market is very lively, and I tasted a very special chrysanthemum ice cream~
2️⃣Thirteen Hongs Museum: The appearance is ordinary but the exhibits are very gorgeous and rich~ You can see the history of Guangzhou as a millennium business capital, the rich Thirteen Hongs, free reservation, opening hours 9:00-17:30 (closed on Monday)
3️⃣Aquarium: A mini ocean museum that is easily missed, there is a 3-ton real whale skeleton that has been around for 70 years, and it is also holding a 70-year history exhibition of the Culture Park~ No reservation required
~
4️⃣Xiguan Chess Academy: Of course, you have to watch the elderly play chess when you come to the park. Based on the chess academy, a small cultural and creative garden has been newly opened. There is a chess culture museum to visit, a cultural and creative market to stroll around, and a cat morality academy that specifically adopts stray cats is also opened inside~ There are several beverage shops like Uncle Qiu, everyone can come here for a drink after visiting the park
Every time I come to the old city to visit the park, I can learn a lot of happy philosophy from the elderly
Watching uncles and aunts playing accordion, guitar, and singing bel canto under the trees in the park, leisurely and contented
Hearing the photography uncle who carries a super long focus to shoot chrysanthemums all say: The most important thing to come out and play is to be happy!
As long as you go out and hang out, with sunshine, beautiful scenery and music - happiness is so simple! Go out and citywalk around this city, it's okay even if you're alone!

Salute to the inheritors!
Well said: Culture is the result of inheritance and promotion.
China is a country that attaches great importance to cultural inheritance. The diversity of the world is due to the inheritance of cultural diversity in different regions.
Leiju, from the Leizhou Peninsula in Lingnan, Guangdong, originally named Daban Song, also known as Gaotai Song. Leiju fully interprets a distinctive folk feature of Leizhou's traditional folk customs, 'respecting ancestor worship, remembering tradition, promoting benevolence, and meeting between humans and gods'.
Leiju, through inheritance and evolution, is brilliant and colorful with its unique content and form. In 2011, it was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
