No.6 of Best Things to Do in Zibo
Address:
山東省淄博市張店區中潤大道齊盛湖公園內
Recommended sightseeing time:
2-3 hours
Self-driving Zibo (1) China's most beautiful bookstore.
Zibo, a city famous for its barbecue, has a landmark building called Haidai Tower!
Haidai Tower is also known as China's most beautiful bookstore. This attraction, which has been checked in by countless internet celebrities and live-streamed by countless internet celebrity live-streamers, is extraordinary and unique.
Zibo Haidai Tower is said to have been built in the Tang Dynasty, but it is more commonly believed to have been built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, which means it has a history of nearly 500 years. It is one of the landmark buildings in Zibo, not only carrying rich historical and cultural information, but also an important place for studying ancient culture and history. The building houses Zhongshu Pavilion, known as the most beautiful bookstore, providing visitors with an experience space integrating history, culture and education.
Zhongshu Pavilion is a bookstore, but more accurately, it is a magical space, a world of infinite space composed of books, multi-faceted mirrors and colors, which is dazzling.
Entering the bookstore is also entering Haidai Tower. There are nine floors above ground and one floor below ground. The basement and the seventh floor are business areas. Visitors can take the elevator or stairs to go up. The second floor and above can be accessed from the balcony to look into the distance. The seventh floor is a tea room. To access the balcony and look into the distance, you need to order tea (from 15 yuan to 280 yuan). Other floors are filled with books and creative products.
A random look at the books on sale shows that the first and second floors are mostly children's books, most of which are foreign children's books. There are also children's books about Chinese historical figures and contemporary heroes, but the illustrations in these books are ugly, almost to the point of being grotesque. Alas! Two generations of people have grown up with such illustrations, and their aesthetic sense may have been brainwashed. Of course, this is not the bookstore's fault, but the fault of educational traitors! The main purpose of visiting the bookstore is to see the scenery, and almost no one buys books!
As night falls, Haidai Tower transforms into a glowing glazed pagoda, dazzling and eye-catching.
Haidai Tower is free to visit, but you need to scan the QR code to make an appointment. You can also make an appointment online.
Self-driving parking is free. The parking lot is located in front of the building, on both sides.

Zibo | A leisurely two-day and one-night barbecue trip
Zibo | A leisurely two-day and one-night barbecue trip
01
First stop at Badajiu to join the buzz, snacks everywhere, you must buy the stir-fried pot cake
Walk further in and you'll find a street selling ink paintings, the fans there are super pretty
Then went for a Zibo barbecue, small pancakes with meat, so delicious (any barbecue place is good and authentic)
02
Spent the morning exploring and taking photos in Tangku Cultural Park, the atmosphere is really chill
In the afternoon, checked out Haidai Tower and the most beautiful bookstore, Zhongshuge, worth the wait despite the crowd
Had a big meal at Juyouzhai in the evening, the Boshan cuisine was so filling that I could barely walk and had to take a lot of it to go
Drank the local Huanhuan milk tea (feels a bit like Teayana)
In summary, it was a very leisurely two-day trip to Zibo

I've checked in at the super productive China's most beautiful bookstore, and let me see the Haidai Tower you guys captured
🇨🇳 China's most beautiful bookstore is located in the Haidai Tower of Zhongshuge in the Qisheng Lake Park of Zibo, which has the honor to be listed as China's most beautiful bookstore📚. The spectacular Han Dynasty architectural style, built in the year of the party's centenary, the Xin Chou year, which is 2021. Haidai Tower is known as 'the ancient capital of Qi, the new mansion of Zibo', with a height of 67 meters, a total of 10 floors, 9 above ground; 1 underground 🤩

Haidai Tower Zhongshuge showcases 'one floor one feature, one corner for culture' 😁 It is the cultural corridor of Shandong Province, and also the hottest 🔥 check-in treasure spot in Zibo 📸 Because I went there late and it was crowded, I couldn't visit every floor 🥲 So I can't display the photos here 😩 Let me briefly introduce each floor of Haidai Tower, currently only some floors B1, 1, 2, 5..... are open
Basement one: Entertainment venue 🤹🏻 with a row of claw machines 🧸 and some comic books, further inside there's a paid indoor children's playground 🎠
First floor: Stepping in from the entrance, the uniquely designed bookshelves are filled with tiles, giving the space a touch of retro flair 🤩 Inside there are also different styles of book halls for everyone to pretend to be sophisticated and take photos📷
Second floor: Suitable for elementary school students' books and magazines 📖, the colorful dopamine setup is very cute 🥰
Third floor: Also Zhongshuge, with a magical world style design that everyone rushes to for photo check-ins 🪄
Fifth floor: Literary bar 🍷 Why literary? Because their bartenders mix drinks very quietly 🤫 tiptoeing around, which looks quite funny 🤪 but very special 🤣 This floor is currently the highest open floor, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Qisheng Lake while drinking a 'literary' cocktail 🍹
Each floor also sells some boutique items and decorations, very cute. Especially the handmade Liuli is indispensable in Zibo.
•
Haidai Tower lights up punctually every night at 19:30 🕢 The bridge outside the building is lined with willow trees, with a gentle breeze and willow leaves fluttering in the wind, making one feel incredibly peaceful and comfortable 😇 The bridge and willow trees are filled with lots of red wishing 🎋 strips, and you have the chance to spend a little money to buy some romance 🌹 write down your wishes and leave them there, swaying with the wind ☺️
•
Haidai Tower does not require 🙅 an entrance fee, but be prepared for the crowds 😅 After all, it's a popular check-in spot, so... you know 😗 Personally, I think it's a must-visit in a lifetime 😎 You'll really be shocked by the untouchable books, and you can also see the most expensive buildings in all of Zibo, neatly lined up by the lake 🤗

Punching in at China's most beautiful bookstore
Haidai Lou Zhongshuge is more like a leisure and cultural tourism center than a bookstore, with decorations and layouts that are very suitable for taking photos and punching in. However, children simply cannot settle down to read books. There is a children's playground on the negative first floor, and you can go outside to see the scenery on the third and fourth floors. The seventh floor has a tea and beverage consumption area. The elevator is very difficult to get on, and going up and down depends entirely on the stairs. The surrounding Qisheng Lake Park is also very beautiful.

The Most Beautiful Bookstore—Haidai Tower Zhongshuge
Let's talk about the location first, it's inside the Qisheng Lake Park on Zhongrun Avenue, Zhangdian District, Zibo City, officially named Haidai Tower Zhongshuge.
I revisited Haidai Tower and was still amazed by its beauty. Looking at its exterior, it boasts the grandeur of ancient architecture during the day, and at night, it adds a touch of bustling color; looking inside, the distinct and unique decoration and layout attract many people to stop and take photos.
🌟 Highlights:
The moment when the Chaoran Tower in Jinan lights up had once gone viral on the internet, and I feel that when Haidai Tower lights up, it can compete with it, both are stunning.
The park has a free parking lot, which makes parking convenient. There are also small bridges and flowing water in the park, making it especially nice to stroll around during this season of blooming flowers and green willows, whether in the afternoon or evening.

Zibo | Short Trip | Gazing at Mount Tai, reminiscing at Jixia
Although Zibo is close by, it was my first formal visit. The plan was to go before it became too popular, but the trip was postponed to April, a time for celebrating with my beloved. We headed west to Jixia, the home of the Qi king, where the festive atmosphere soothes the common folk's hearts. I've seen this city, these roads, these people before, but it feels like a clear glass day, with the brilliance of oranges. I'm happy for Zibo. Later that same year, I took a detour through Zibo again to visit the Haidai Tower, which I couldn't squeeze into before. I feel that everything is there, but it's just different. Visiting Zibo is like boiling plain noodles in water - you still need to sprinkle some finely chopped green onions, as if confronting the blandness of everyday life head-on.
Short Trip Itinerary 📆【Travel Guide】
📆Itinerary:
We didn't stay in Zibo for too long. After getting off the train, we headed straight to Wuyue Plaza for a meal🍚, and then quickly went to Daiyue Tower!
🚗Transportation Tips:
Hello Bike solves everything haha - it's very convenient and affordable. Using the mini-program to hail a ride is also very handy!
🌟Highlights of the Trip:
How can you visit Zibo without going to Haidai Tower, and how can you visit Haidai Tower without going to Zhongshuge? The best time to visit Haidai Tower is in the evening! You can take advantage of the sunset to see the whole view, and when the lights come on at night, you'll hear exclamations of awe haha
Zhongshuge is incredibly beautiful, but it's also very crowded. We were basically pushed forward by the crowd, and the popular photo spots were all cordoned off, probably because they're dangerous⚠️, so sisters who love to take photos should be careful~

"Books fragrance enters Haidai, tide rises Zhongshuge."
Zhongshuge·Zibo store is the 42nd store in the country, and also the largest single store in Zhongshuge's national chain.
The store integrates many Zibo elements such as the ancient capital of Qi, ceramic glaze, natural caves, etc., with one feature per floor, one culture per corner, showing different aspects of Chinese civilization.
1⃣Front Hall
I like the U-shaped bookshelf in the front hall the most, with the business cards of Zibo Qi culture - tile dangs placed on both sides.
Here, Qi tile dangs can fully exert the charm of "regional characteristics" cultural business cards, allowing Qi culture to penetrate into the public's daily life.
2⃣Reading Time and Space Area
The entire bookstore is arranged along the elliptical mirror in a symmetrical manner, and the bookshelves full of lines evenly divide the entire space.
Read a good book here, have a cup of light tea, the most beautiful time is all at this moment.
3⃣Cultural and Creative Area
Here you can get a variety of cultural and creative products in one stop, whether it's the currently popular trendy blind boxes, art illustrations that literary youths like, or Zhongshuge's unique cultural peripherals, you can explore them here.
4⃣Time Childhood
The most distinctive place is the reading area around, where 160 tones are used to artistically turn the ancient chariots and horses, human-faced bronze axes, chime bells, and modern landmark buildings that are highly representative of Zibo culture into children's bookshelves.
Give children a beautiful color experience, while allowing Qi culture to penetrate into children's hearts and spread Qi culture.
In Zibo, meet Zhongshuge, meet a better self.
