🌸Flowers still bloom in Autumn 🍂
Seeing so many different kinds of flowers in the autumn is simply amazing. We are all aware that spring is the ideal season to visit a botanical garden. Even so, if you simply want to be close to nature and unwind from your day, a botanical garden is the best place to be.Thankfully, there are still some blossoming, vibrant flowers and trees around. You'll feel much better with some birdsong and some fresh air.

Hefei Botanical Garden: Fall Photo Tips
Hefei Botanical Garden Redwood Forest Photo Tips
Fall and winter photo tips:
⏰Best time to shoot
• 2–4 pm: The light is softer and the sun is lower, creating a warm atmosphere in the redwood forest.
📷: Sony a7R3 + 28–200
📸Shooting location
• Dawn redwood forest: Closer to the south gate
🚇Exit C of Science Avenue Station on Metro Line 2, turn left and head toward the south gate.
Follow the signs in the park to the dawn redwood forest. The tall and straight dawn redwoods turn red in the fall, making them perfect for photos.
• By the lake: The botanical garden has a lake, and you can take photos of the redwood forest reflected in the water to add a sense of tranquility and beauty to your photos.
📸Shooting tips
1️⃣Choose an angle: A low angle can highlight the height of the redwoods; a high angle can show the whole redwood forest and the distribution of colors; look for frame elements, such as branches and door frames, to frame the redwood forest and add depth and appeal to your photos.
2️⃣Create a foreground: Use fallen leaves and grass as a foreground, blur the foreground to highlight the subject, and add depth and atmosphere to your photos.

Botanical Garden - Ink Painting by Dongpu Lake
Hefei Botanical Garden is not far from the city center, just by Dongpu Reservoir. You can take bus 543 to the east gate, or take a taxi or drive there.
In winter, there are few people and flowers in the botanical garden, as if the spring flowers are on pause. Walking in the woods, you can only hear birds chirping. Looking around, you will feel peaceful. Suddenly, I saw a red maple tree reflected in the blue sky, like an ink painting. I was also surprised by the mini version of the Sacred Way of the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum and the China Pavilion.
Autumn and winter are the seasons of yellow and red. The plane trees, Chinese firs, and red maples make up the unique colors of the season. However, please note that the botanical garden still charges an entrance fee of CNY 10.

🌷Guide to visit the garden: Friends who want to see tulips can refer to the route in the second picture. There will be a path of tulips as soon as you enter the door. When you reach the third place, you will see large cherry blossoms in bloom. At the fourth place, there is a very beautiful Magnolia Pavilion. The 5th place is the must-visit Tulip Highlands and the Big Windmill, the 6th place has a few Japanese early cherry blossoms, and the 7th place is the east gate of the Botanical Garden
👆Suggestion: The tulips are basically in bloom this week, and they look better on sunny days. It is not easy to get a taxi from the east gate, but there is bus No. 543. If you need to wait a long time for a taxi, or it will be easier to get a taxi if you walk to the road

Encountering the most beautiful Chinese roses at Hefei Botanical Garden
After climbing Mount Dashu, I arrived at the nearby Hefei Botanical Garden. The botanical garden is a popular spot for social media check-ins and currently charges a 10 yuan admission fee, but I heard it will be open to the public for free soon.
The botanical garden is built around the Dongpu Reservoir and extends into the water as a peninsula. The east gate is the main entrance, and there is also a south gate on the other side. On the land side, there is an under-construction southern expansion area, which will make the garden even larger in the future.
I chose the counterclockwise walking route, passing by the plum garden ♣️ without stopping. Then I reached the Flower Expo Garden, where only some withered peonies remained.
Ahead was an island within an island called 'On the Water's Edge,' connected by a causeway. I mistakenly thought I could cross over from the 'Reed Boat Hideaway' on the right, but upon arrival, I found it was not connected and had to return via the Osmanthus Garden.
Back at the central causeway, I reached 'On the Water's Edge,' where there was an amusement park and some blooming Chinese roses 🌹 along the road, but no particularly special scenery.
Returning from the causeway to the Flower Expo Garden, I walked south through the Magnolia Garden, Pomegranate Garden, Legume Garden, and Arboretum, all the way to the Native Plants Garden, and then I was about to exit through the south gate. I had planned to leave, but felt a sense of reluctance, as I hadn't seen any special sights after walking half the day. Why is it called a social media hotspot? 🤔
After a short rest, I dismissed the idea of leaving and walked through the Native Plants Garden towards the east gate. When I arrived at the Chinese Rose Garden, I was suddenly captivated by the beautiful scenery in front of me. It turned out I had taken the wrong direction; the season's blooming flowers were all hidden here, and I almost missed them.
😍 Chinese roses, roses, and Rosa rugosa are known as the 'Three Sisters of Roses,' and their similar appearances often make it difficult to distinguish between them. The clusters of flowers in the Chinese Rose Garden were blooming brilliantly, even attracting many couples to take wedding photos. The clustered ones might be roses, the ones that grew like small trees could be Chinese roses, and the short ones looked like Rosa rugosa; in any case, they were all beautiful.
Next to the Chinese Rose Garden was a large lawn, where the evening sun had lost its strength, and tall trees cast long shadows on the grass. People sat in groups, enjoying this beautiful life.
Beside the lawn was a large pond, and by the lake was a forest of water fir trees, presenting a peaceful and serene scene. ⭐ Past the pond was the east gate. Looking back, this route was actually quite nice, saving the best for last.
🎫 Cost: An admission fee of 10 yuan was charged at the time

There are several huge peach trees that are super beautiful for taking pictures!
The tulips in the botanical garden have bloomed a lot!
Walk further inside, and there is an area with many tulips.
Right from the main entrance, there is a large lawn!
It's especially good for taking photos.
Some people are so relaxed they just sleep on it.
Others have pitched tents and are leisurely enjoying the good times. Nearby, there is a wooded area where many people are taking photos.
The botanical garden is very large.
However, I didn't take the shuttle bus today.
I saw some moms with their babies on the bus, so cute! There is also a cherry blossom garden, but it's not in full bloom yet, probably have to wait until the end of the month.
There are also places suitable for taking photos with a Chinese style.
Walking further inside, there are pavilions that are very beautiful, it's simply a large photography base.
Photography suggestions:
You can wear plain clothes to take pictures on the lawn, with the flowers. Friends who can, bring props. Chinese style clothes also look good in the small gardens!
🎫Ticket for Hefei Botanical Garden: 20 yuan per ticket
🚉Transportation strategy:
Take bus 543 to the Botanical Garden station. There is a parking lot that charges 5 yuan per time.
When coming out of the parking lot, there is traffic congestion caused by illegal parking.
I recommend everyone to use public transportation.
