Replicating the Old Hong Kong
If you are new to HK and new to the Chinese culture, the Hong Kong Museum of History is always the best place to have a quick glimpse.
Though ‘The Hong Kong Story' permanent exhibition is still under renovation, there are very instagrammable settings of the Old Hong Kong at 1/F Main Lobby, Hong Kong Museum of History.
It replicates the traditional grocery shop, Chinese restaurant, a famous street stall for milk tea. This also gives you an idea of how the Old Hong Kong was like, when the chained supermarkets had not existed.

Traditional Chinese Wedding Memorabilia
If you are new to HK and new to the Chinese culture, the HK Museum of History is always the best place to have a quick glimpse.
Though ‘The Hong Kong Story' permanent exhibition is still under renovation, there is mini exhibition at 1/F Main Lobby, Hong Kong Museum of History.
The last one was “Joyous Destiny: A Selection of Wedding Memorabilia from the Museum's Collections”.
Marriage is considered as one of the big missions in a traditional Chinese family.
The exhibits were all donations by the public. Videos of wedding scenes, exhibits of wedding sedan chair, wedding costumes, marriage documents, bride’s dowry and historical photos were shown.

The Hong Kong Museum of History is a museum that preserves Hong Kong's historical and cultural heritage. It is located next to the Hong Kong Science Museum, in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The collections of the museum encompass natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history.
The museum was established by the Urban Council in July 1975 when the City Museum and Art Gallery was split into the Hong Kong Museum of History and Hong Kong Museum of Art; some of the Museum of History's collections were on display at the City Museum and Art Gallery's original 1962 location at the City Hall.
From 1975 to 1983, the Hong Kong Museum of History was housed in a 700 m2 rented space within Star House. In 1983, the Museum was moved to a temporary location (which now houses Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre) in Kowloon Park. It was moved to its present premises near Hong Kong Science Museum on Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui in 1998. It is currently managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong Government.#mytripvlog #tripblazers #

New look inside Hong Kong Museum of History
After renovation in Hong Kong Museum of History, the display inside the exhibition has changed a lot. The displayed is new but I like the old exhibition before. There is a hong kong style restaurant display there. Come and have a look later! 🤪

Old Hong Kong display
Before entering Hong Kong Museum of History Exhibition there are already a lot of display outside. People can look at the shops of old Hong Kong. There are also a lot of sits in the middle for people to take some rest.

This museum is well worth the visit; it's a huge museum and many displays are life-size, making them come to life. The descriptions are in Chinese and in excellent English and they are quite helpful in understanding the the exhibits. There are eight specific "ages" shown in the history of Hong Kong and it will take about two-and-a-half hours minimum to appreciate all of them, and that's without reading all the descriptions. There are also large rooms with videos being played that add some vibrancy to the tour. I came away with a better understanding of Hong Kong and, more broadly, the history of China.

Personal Impressions of Visiting the National Security Exhibition Hall
The National Security Exhibition Hall is currently being held on the second floor of the Hong Kong Museum of History. The exhibition area is very large and was crowded with people when I visited. The exhibits are diverse and rich in content, attracting history enthusiasts to come and appreciate and take photos. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to see all the exhibits and could only take photos of a few. I hope to have the opportunity to visit this place again in the future.

The free Xia, Shang, and Zhou Dynasties exhibition is full of surprises
Free stuff can be awesome I saw the advertisement for the Xia, Shang, and Zhou Civilizations Exhibition in the subway and took some time to check it out. First, there's a large interactive area with bronze commemorative badges, photo zones for Confucianism, Mohism, Taoism, and Legalism... Remember to turn on your mobile WiFi for a better interactive experience
The exhibition area has three main parts waiting for you to explore, and what amazed me the most was the 'Bronze Ware Types and Uses' wall Full of knowledge, and the color scheme and lighting are right on my aesthetic point
Next is the spectacular series of nine ding, eight gui, and nine guei It's rare for an external exhibition to have such a complete set of forms.
There's also an interactive oracle bone divination 🔮 process, which was really my first time experiencing the whole process of divination, interesting
🎶🎵 The background music is perfectly matched, which might be a characteristic of Hong Kong's curatorial style, making one feel a surge of national pride while looking at the cultural relics in front of them

🌈Attraction Introduction:
1️⃣ The first exhibition area is 'Natural Ecology', divided into 'Landforms & Climate' and 'Flora & Fauna'.
2️⃣ The second exhibition area: Prehistoric Hong Kong. Archaeological findings indicate that humans were active in Hong Kong as early as 6,000 years ago during the Neolithic period. 'Prehistoric Hong Kong' not only displays various artifacts unearthed in the region but also features a virtual beach scene, depicting the daily activities of Hong Kong people such as cooking, crafting stone jewelry, and fishing.
3️⃣ The third exhibition area: From the Han to the Qing Dynasty. After the Qin and Han dynasties, people from the Central Plains gradually migrated to the Lingnan region, bringing with them the culture and production methods of the Central Plains; the opening of the Dayu Ridge in the Tang Dynasty and the gradual reclamation of the Pearl River Delta in the Song Dynasty led to a further increase in Lingnan immigrants. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, more people of various ethnicities moved into the Pearl River Delta, enhancing the multiculturalism of Lingnan culture.
4️⃣ The fourth exhibition area: The Folk Customs of Hong Kong. This section mainly introduces the colorful folk customs of Hong Kong and the Guangdong region. Here you can see opera stages, traditional Hong Kong wedding ceremonies, folk dwellings, and various statues
🌟Highlight Features: The permanent exhibition 'The Hong Kong Story' opened in 2001, divided into five sections: Prehistoric Hong Kong and Historical Development, Hong Kong Folk Customs, Hong Kong Occupation and Early Development, Japanese Occupation Period, and Modern Metropolis to the 1997 Handover of Hong Kong. This history spanning 400 million years unfolds before our eyes, evoking an indescribable complexity of emotions
📌Little Tips:
Upon entering the museum, there will be a security check and ticket inspection (e-tickets can be directly purchased and reserved online, or you can buy paper tickets on-site. Of course, it's better to reserve in advance). When taking photos in the exhibition hall, do not use flash as it can damage the artifacts

Hong Kong Museum Parent-Child Trip
This time I took my son to Hong Kong, we didn't go to Disneyland or Ocean Park, but visited many museums instead. We had a great time just the same, and here I'd like to share some tips.
First of all, upon arriving in Hong Kong, the first impression is that Hong Kong people are more enthusiastic than they were ten years ago. When we asked a young man who was jogging at night for directions, not only did he tell us how to get there, but he also waited for us at the next intersection, afraid that we would take the wrong path; when we went to the bank to change for small bills, since we didn't have a local bank account, the front desk lady went out of her way to communicate with the teller for us, so we could successfully get the change; at the restaurant, the cashier auntie warmly recommended dishes to us, and when we were leaving, she even said 'Have fun'. Throughout the trip, we spoke Mandarin and did not encounter the discrimination or unfair treatment mentioned online. The premise is that we also need to show our quality.
Back to the main topic , if you also want to take your child to leisurely stroll around Hong Kong and visit various museums, the following two tips are very important.
One, it seems that Hong Kong doesn't really try to make money off children, especially in terms of educational aspects. They have a museum pass (annual card system), which costs 100 Hong Kong dollars per year, allowing unlimited visits to all museums under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (including the Space Museum, Science Museum, History Museum, etc.). Here comes the key point, do you think 100 Hong Kong dollars a year is not cheap? Let me tell you, this is an annual fee for a family of up to four people, do you still think it's expensive? You'll earn it back with just one visit , and you can also get a discount on souvenirs with the card. So how do you apply? Just fill out the application form on the Leisure and Cultural Services Department's website in advance, and then send an email to the museum where you want to pick up the card (must be collected within 15 days), or you can fill out the application form and print it out to handle it on site. We mainland tourists can also apply.
Two, the dome movie at the Space Museum is a must-see, but it's almost impossible to buy tickets on-site during holidays. We can buy tickets 7 days in advance on the Cityline ticketing website, and then go to the ticket counter with the confirmation barcode to exchange for tickets. When we were exchanging tickets, looking at the envious eyes of those tourists behind us who could only buy tickets for the next day or the day after, we felt a bit smug . Of course, it's also best to buy tickets for the Peak Tram and the Ferris wheel online in advance.
In summary, we had a particularly fun trip to Hong Kong these past few days.

"Hong Kong Travel Plan: Exploring the Secrets of the Pearl of the Orient?"
Hong Kong is a vibrant and culturally diverse city with many places worth exploring. In October and November, the weather in Hong Kong gradually cools down, with daytime temperatures around 25 degrees and nighttime temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
Here are my recommended Hong Kong travel destinations, combining the climate and local customs at the time:
1. Climb Victoria Peak: Victoria Peak is the highest mountain in Hong Kong, and you can take the old Peak Tram to the top. At the top, you can enjoy the beautiful cityscape of Hong Kong, and also visit the museum and wax museum on Victoria Peak.
2. Visit the Hong Kong Museum of History: The Hong Kong Museum of History is one of the most popular museums in Hong Kong, housing a large collection of historical artifacts and materials that tell the history and culture of Hong Kong. Inside the museum, you can learn about Hong Kong's colonial history, folk customs, and traditional culture.
3. Stroll around Women's Street in Mong Kok: Women's Street is one of Hong Kong's famous shopping areas, with many stalls selling a variety of goods, including clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, etc. Here, you can experience Hong Kong's grassroots culture and lively atmosphere.
4. Taste authentic Hong Kong cuisine: Hong Kong is a food paradise, with many famous dishes such as roast meat, dim sum, milk tea, pineapple buns, etc. In Mong Kok, Causeway Bay, and Central, there are many food streets and restaurants where you can taste authentic Hong Kong cuisine.
5. Participate in Hong Kong's Mid-Autumn Festival activities: If you happen to be in Hong Kong during the Mid-Autumn Festival, you can participate in various Mid-Autumn Festival activities in Hong Kong, such as lantern parades, fire dragon dances, moon viewing, etc., to experience Hong Kong's traditional culture and festive atmosphere.
I hope my recommendations are helpful, and I wish you a pleasant journey!

Hong Kong Museum of History 📝✨
The Hong Kong History Museum is a museum that preserves Hong Kong's historical and cultural heritage. It is located next to the Hong Kong Science Museum, in Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The museum's collections include natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history. 📚
Black and white outlines filled in with a projection overlay in most cases as it contrasts with them filling in the story and bringing certain elements to life. There are also very detailed descriptions on photos and replicas and real things about the wars, merchants, banks, currencies and more. 💸
The exhibition is worth a visit if you want to learn about the history of Hong Kong. All in all, a good way to spend one hour and It is free. 👍🏻

The Hong Kong Museum of History was founded in 1975, but some of the collections were from the Museum of the Museum of Art, which was established in 1962. The museum was moved to the present site in Chatham Road South, Tsim Sha Tsui in 1998. The exterior and colours of the Hong Kong Museum of History are coordinated with the adjacent Science Museum to form a museum complex.
The exhibition of Hong Kong's unearthed cultural relics, historical pictures, pictures, etc., based on Hong Kong's natural history and human history, highlights the development of Hong Kong in 6,000 years. First introduced the natural environment of Hong Kong; the unearthed cultural relics, ancient stone carvings and ancient kiln sites reflect the human activities in Hong Kong; finally, the process of Hong Kong from a small fishing village to a metropolis. The museum has more than 45,000 collections, which are divided into four categories: archaeology, local history, folk history and natural history.
