[2024 Macau Stay] Travel Guide for Hotel Royal (Updated Nov)
If you want to spend 2 days in Macau, you can copy this full guide.
Macau is a city suitable for slow travel. The city is small, and the attractions are concentrated, so it is convenient to arrange an itinerary. I have compiled a 2-day itinerary guide, covering the check-in points of the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island. The overall itinerary is relatively easy. Welcome to like and collect.
DAY 1: Rua do Cunha - Taipa Houses - The Venetian Macao - The Parisian Macao - The Londoner Macao - Wynn Palace
The first day is mainly concentrated in Taipa. Rua do Cunha and Taipa Houses are not far apart, so you can feel the style of Portuguese architecture. Next, you can go to the shopping malls that gather the styles of several European countries. You can not only go shopping and buy things, but also take photos.
I love The Londoner Macao the most. There are several places to take photos, which are very photogenic. It is full of British style, and it has its own characteristics during the day and night. You can go there around 5 o'clock, take photos during the day, and then take photos of the night scene when the lights are on. It is recommended to go to The Parisian Macao during the day. After taking close-up photos, go to the Eiffel Tower Park across the road to take photos. Go to see the musical fountain at Wynn Palace at night and take a free cable car ride.
.
DAY 2: Rua da Felicidade - Mount Fortress - Macao Museum - Ruins of St. Paul's - Grand Prix Museum
If you like taking photos, don't miss Rua da Felicidade. The colorful Portuguese buildings and the old street scene full of fireworks are only a few steps away, which is quite interesting. As a landmark building, the Ruins of St. Paul's is worth a visit even though there are many people. You can also visit the Macao Museum nearby. If you have enough time, you can go to the Grand Prix Museum, which is quite niche but fun.
.
Transportation
1. There are free shuttle buses after passing the customs, but there are many people. If you stay in a star-rated hotel, you can call in advance to inquire whether there is a shuttle bus.
2. You can check the bus on WeChat "Bus Stop". Each ride costs 6 MOP in cash. You need to ring the bell when you get off the bus and wave to the driver when you get on the bus.
3. You can use the "Macau Taxi" app to take a taxi, but it is more expensive.
.
Accommodation
This time I stayed at the Royal Hotel Macau, an old five-star hotel on the Macau Peninsula. It is cost-effective and has a shuttle bus. The overall experience is very good. Before booking a hotel, remember to check whether there are 50% off hotel coupons on major platforms. Don't miss out on the discounts.

Wow, the camera angle captured here is absolutely amazing
This time it was a rare occasion to go on a City walk in Macau with my sisters.
The first picture was taken on our way to The Londoner, it's really stunning.
Picture 2️⃣ is at the Grand Emperor Hotel | very close to the Grand Lisboa, just a 10-minute walk.
Picture 3️⃣ is the well-known Ruins of St. Paul's | imagining its former glory.
Picture 4️⃣ is at the entrance of Silver Island | just a casual shot before sunset.
Picture 5️⃣ is The Londoner | taken right before we were about to cross the street.
Pictures 6️⃣-7️⃣ are from a hidden corner on the escalator across The Londoner on the second floor | but it's the legendary 'female celebrity' spot (waited in line for so long 😭 by the time it was my turn it was already dark, but the night view has its own atmosphere, if you want to take pictures, you should go earlier).
Near the Ruins of St. Paul's is a snack street, where we had some amazing beef offal 😋
For dinner, there's a restaurant I personally love and recommend: Fatty Boy Wen's Gourmet, randomly ordered a few dishes and none were a miss, all delicious, will definitely eat there again next time 😜

X-mas decoration At Hotel Royal
#2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #campingglamping #celebratewithtrip A spite of a long and respectable history, today Xmas is offensive to many, perhaps because of its associations with advertising. And now we can see lots of Xmas decorations around city and some if famous and popular places and historical places can see lots of different decorations.

Birthday Suprise at Royal Hotel
#2023travelwish
Last night was indeed a success, we decided to celebrate a little earlier our Christmas party for one reason to give our friend Michee a special birthday surprise. We surely had a great time at Royal Hotel, glad that they allow us to celebrate our mini party.
The receptionist at the lobby are very accommodating she even upgraded my room into a deluxe room because I requested a room with a garden view.
Surely I will book again since the hotel is very accessible and very near at my job.

Staycation at Hotel Royal, Macau
I’ve been to this hotel many times as it is very convenient to go. Easy access to everywhere you wanna go. It’s near to San Malo, just few minutes walk. If you want to go to Cotai strip in Taipa, just go down to Tap Seac area and you can take the bus 25 or 25B and drop off to City of Dreams or Londoner. They also have indoor pool which I really like if you want to take a rest and relax. Their bakery at the lounge also offers variety of cake. Must try their moist devil cake and new york cheesecake. #100WaysOfTravel #mytravelhacks #historicallandmarks #localguides#instatravel

Macau Photography: A Photographer's Guide to the Best Spots
🌅 On this trip home, I followed the bloggers' recommendations and visited the popular spot—the Guia Lighthouse in Macau. From there, you can see the Grand Lisboa across the way, and nearby there are many buildings that combine Portuguese and modern styles. It's indeed a great place for photography, and not just a photo trap.
——
🏰 Photo Spot: Simply navigate to "Guia Lighthouse". It's located on the top of Guia Hill. You can take the elevator in the Guia Hill Tunnel at the foot of the hill, and then walk up.
📸 Spot Sharing:
1️⃣ Around the perimeter of the lighthouse on the hilltop, near the chairs and the small open space under the stairs;
2️⃣ Inside the old meteorological station in the lighthouse, but we arrived around five o'clock and it was already closed. If you want to enter, it's recommended to arrive earlier.
3️⃣ At the intersection of Rua Nova à Guia, but don't take photos in the middle of the road, it's unsafe and you might get fined.
🚗 Transportation Recommendation: You could take bus 28c to Yuet Wah Middle School, get off, walk a little to the right, and then there's a long slope on the left leading up to the lighthouse (navigate to Guia Lighthouse).
🏨 Accommodation Recommendation: You can stay at the nearby Royal Hotel, which is located on Rua Nova à Guia. Just 100 meters out the door and you can get great shots.
In fact, the streets of Macau are also very photogenic, so after your shoot, you can also wander around the area, which has many great spots for street photography.

After visiting Hong Kong, you must go to Macau!
Macau trip is really great! First of all, I must recommend the Macau Tower, standing on it and overlooking the whole Macau, the feeling is really shocking! I hope this guide can help those who want to go to Macau and those who are going for the first time! Preparation before departure: Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau, Macau data package, power bank.
'Entry and Exit Health Declaration Card' QR code, cash in Macanese pataca
1. You can purchase the Macau data package in Alipay: upon arrival in Macau, turn on data roaming and select the CTM operator, then you can use data in Macau.
2. Be sure to bring a power bank, as there are no shared power banks in Macau.
3. After arriving in Macau, there are counters where you can directly exchange RMB for Macanese pataca. Cash is generally used for buses and light rail: 100 should be enough.
Accommodation in Macau Peninsula: Grand Lisboa, Lisboa, Grand Emperor, Grand Emperor Hotel, Vienna, Golden Dragon, Wynn, etc.

Macau 3 Days 2 Nights Free & Easy Travel Guide, you must try these delicacies
✈️How to buy cheap flight tickets?
☀️You can choose Eastern Airlines MU6711, which is almost the cheapest flight of the day, with a one-way ticket costing about 449RMB including tax
🧊Entry & Departure
☀️Leaving from Gongbei Port is quite cost-effective, taking bus no. 11, it's about 5-15min to the 🇲🇴 Macau border
🏨Hotel Recommendation:
Royal Hotel Macau, a four-star hotel, where you can stay for about 400+rmb/night. It comes with a swimming pool and gym, and it's a short walk 🚶 to the Ruins of St. Paul's
Intense Walking Route:
🧊 Day 1: Monte Fort ➡️ Ruins of St. Paul's ➡️ Love Lane ➡️ Museum of Timepieces ➡️ Church of Our Lady of the Rosary ➡️ Grand Lisboa ➡️ Macau Tower ➡️ Shopping at MGM Macau
⚡️Macau is quite small, and many attractions are within a 5-10min walk. Although Macau Tower is a touristy activity, watching the sunset and bungee jumping there is quite nice
🧊Day 2: Rua do Cunha ➡️ Taipa Village ➡️ The Venetian ➡️ The Londoner ➡️ The Parisian ➡️ Fisherman's Wharf
⚡️It's recommended to spend an afternoon at these three attractions. Outdoor photography is great, and without flying to Europe, you can see landmarks of three European countries within 1km, which is also a great shopping spot
🧊Day 3: Coloane ➡️ Black Sand Beach
⚡️For the seaside route, I suggest taking the bus, which costs 6MOP per person, and you need to have change ready, Hong Kong dollars are also accepted. Black Sand Beach is small, but you can take photos, and then go around the island by bus, 🚖 which is slightly expensive
👉Restaurant Recommendations
⚡️Tang's Spicy Sour Noodles
⚡️Chan Kwong Kee's Triple Mix Rice (there's one in Shanghai too, but the Macau one is really delicious)
⚡️Pablo's Mini Tart
⚡️Tomato House's Portuguese Beef Brisket and 🐔 (the average cost per person at this restaurant is 50-60rmb, but my husband and I ended up spending 160rmb per person, the toast is very 😋)
⚡️Hoi King Heen's Fresh Beef Offal and Fried Wontons
⚡️Andrew's Egg Tarts
⚡️Lord Stow's Beef Offal
⚡️Serradura Restaurant's Durian Serradura and Pancakes, as well as 🥥
⚡️There's also a whisky bottle house where we specifically went to buy a lot of 🥃, someone said that after comparing prices, this store is considered cheap in Macau, much cheaper than in Shanghai
Key Point: 🐧 Pay is really much cheaper than 🐜 Pay, and you can also collect various coupons every day

Macau's Citywalk, fallen at every street corner
The first time I went to Macau, I was already captivated by every street corner.
Macau is a city worth measuring with your footsteps.
This city is very small, so small that I can't seem to find the bookstore I'm looking for.
This city is very small, so small that it seems each street can only accommodate two paths: one for long journeys and one for returning home.
This city is very small, so small that at every intersection you can encounter different sceneries, and of course, delicious food.
Routes:
1⃣️ Grand Emperor Hotel —— Well Well 31 Bookstore —— Where There Are Books Bookstore —— Ruins of St. Paul's —— Rua de Cinco de Outubro
2⃣️ Grand Emperor Hotel —— Lou Lim Ieoc Garden —— Grand Lisboa
3⃣️ Rua do Cunha —— The Venetian

Enjoy a leisurely vacation in Macau and join me for an afternoon tea!
🏙️ Want to experience the bustling city life and the charm of everyday people? Then come to Macau! This city has enchanting old streets, heartwarming old houses, and old buildings, making it especially suitable for Citywalk.
🏨 A five-day, four-night trip to Macau, staying at the same hotel: Grand Emperor Hotel, Macau. It's really convenient to get around!
This is my second time staying at the Grand Emperor Hotel, which is also one of the earliest five-star hotels in Macau.
From the hotel, you can walk to the Guia Lighthouse, St. Lawrence's Church, Leitaria I Son, Ruins of St. Paul's, Monte Fort, Senado Square, Holy House of Mercy, Holland Garden Walk, Macau Archives, Albergue SCM, and the new Grand Lisboa Hotel, among others.
🍃 In early March in Macau, the temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius. Every morning, I wake up naturally, catch the end of breakfast time for a rich meal, followed by various leisurely strolls.
When tired, at three in the afternoon, I return to the lobby lounge on the first floor of the Grand Emperor Hotel to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea for two.
The lobby lounge of the Grand Emperor Hotel is the ideal place to enjoy afternoon tea, champagne, exquisite pastries, or a weekend afternoon tea buffet with friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
The overall environment is dignified and elegant, with excellent natural light and spacious floor-to-ceiling windows.
The set includes shrimp toast, fried mackerel balls, tuna sandwich squares, mini Italian cheese tarts, mini cocoa chocolate cakes, mini fresh fruit tarts... Whether you prefer savory or sweet, each item is exquisitely delicious.
I ordered a milk tea, and my friend ordered a coffee. We chatted about the bits and pieces of our trip in Macau, and time is meant to be wasted.
📣 Travel Tips:
The afternoon tea set at the Grand Emperor Hotel costs 108 Macau Patacas per person.
🕐 Time: Monday to Friday 14:00-18:00
Weekend afternoon tea buffet,
🕐 Time: Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays 14:00-18:00

The ultimate lazy vacation choice, I stayed at this hotel in Macau for four nights!
Macau travel, stayed at the Grand Emperor Hotel for four nights, originally planned to stay for two nights and then switch to another hotel, but it was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave and ended up staying for four nights without having to pack my suitcase.
As one of the earliest five-star hotels in Macau, the Grand Emperor Hotel, located on the hillside, is definitely the top choice for a lazy vacation in Macau!
Staying at the Grand Emperor Hotel in Macau, getting around is really convenient! Popular Macau attractions such as the Guia Lighthouse, Ruins of St. Paul's, Senado Square, Holy House of Mercy, Grand Lisboa Hotel, and St. Lazarus Church District... are all within walking distance.
🌟 Every room in the hotel has been redesigned and renovated, combining classic elegance with modern style, offering meticulous service that meets your five-star quality expectations.
I booked an executive suite, which is a spacious 45 square meters, understated luxury, with particularly good soundproofing, and very quiet. The view outside the window is also beautiful, and I like to stand in front of the window, looking out at the Guia Lighthouse.
The bathroom is spacious and minimalist, with toiletries from the classic German luxury brand 'AIGNER'.
The Grand Emperor Hotel also has an all-year-round indoor constant temperature swimming pool and a delicate gym, meeting the needs of different users.
The Grand Emperor Hotel's M floor's Grand Emperor Court Portuguese restaurant and the second floor's Yi Garden Shanghai restaurant are both places many people make a special trip to check in at, don't miss out.
This is also a long-established five-star hotel recommended by many locals in Macau, and many tourists who have traveled to Macau have stayed here and have many memories. Remember to book in advance!
🏨 Hotel Address: 2-4 Avenida de Vitoria, Macau
🚌 Transportation: The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to and from the Border Gate and Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, which is really considerate.

Four-day and three-night special forces travel guide to Hong Kong and Macau
🏷Preparation for travel to Hong Kong and Macau
✔️Documents: Hong Kong and Macau pass
✔️Cash: Exchange Hong Kong dollars/Macau dollars in advance, about 600 Hong Kong dollars/Macau dollars for 4 days is enough, Star Ferry, some restaurants and taxis in Macau need cash payment, others can be paid by mobile phone
✔️Mobile network: Directly search for "overseas data" in Alipay to buy a data package, so you don't need to buy an extra card
✔️Shoes: Walking a lot every day and there are many slopes, so you must wear comfortable shoes
———————————
📝Small tips before travel
1⃣️Travel: Travel in Hong Kong is basically by subway and bus, which can be used directly by scanning the code, very convenient; Macau has no subway, and buses are not convenient, it is recommended to take a taxi but only cash is accepted
2⃣️Customs clearance code: Search for "Customs Passenger Fingertip Service" in the mini program, valid for 24 hours
3⃣️Accommodation: It is more convenient to stay in Yau Tsim Mong District in Hong Kong, with food, drink, and fun all in one; if you want to experience the history and food of Macau, you can stay on the peninsula, and if you want to shop, you can stay in Taipa

Macau MO | City walk never looks back
| City walk never looks back. Macau might be known as a Casino center in most people's impression. On this tiny land, every day is a story of glitz and glamour. When you really come to this place, everything here will amaze you. 🌆Whether it's the newly erected magnificent buildings or the old residential buildings that have been running through the streets for many years, the new and old scenery constantly fills your eyes, all marveling at the unique charm of this city, which is also why I strongly recommend everyone to visit Macau once in their lifetime!
The travel guide of Macau is divided into two parts, the Peninsula and Taipa. Of course, there is also the Coloane Peninsula that everyone talks about, but unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to go there this time, we will prioritize it next time~ The hotel we booked for this trip is on the Peninsula, very close to the surrounding attractions, it's convenient to go anywhere. Also, I would like to mention the hotel I stayed in (Emperor Hotel), although it's on the hillside, the hotel service is very good, the environment is also good, the room area is really large compared to Hong Kong, we stayed on the 9th floor at that time, the view outside the window is great, the hotel's off-season price is also very affordable. Then below are some of the places we visited, there is no place that is not worth playing, the more famous attractions are indeed crowded, but acceptable, under the blessing of good weather, slowly walk in the city, any place to take a photo is very out of the picture.
🚏Peninsula: Guia Park — Grand Lisboa — Old Lisboa — Mercy Hall— Ruins of St. Paul's — Monte Fort— Fong Tong Lane — Guia Lighthouse — Fisherman's Wharf
These places are not far apart, there is no order, you can go wherever you want, the Macau Peninsula is very suitable for a relaxed tour, there will be various Portuguese-style buildings along the way, the colors are bright and bright, really good looking! There will be some shops along the way, selling local specialty snacks. No need to specifically go to check in some internet celebrity shops, just walk and play freely 👋
Also, you can bring a small notebook to the corresponding attractions to stamp: Here is my stamp route:
🔖Fountain opposite the Town Hall — Nezha Temple — Ruins of St. Paul's — Macau Museum — Church of Our Lady of the Rosary — Macau Post
🚏Taipa: Wynn Palace — MGM Cotai — The Londoner Macao — The Parisian Macao — The Venetian Macao — Guanye Street
The whole feeling of Taipa is magnificent, all the buildings are very high-end. If you can't go to London and Paris for the time being, why not come to Macau to see the Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower first. Also, be sure to take the free cable car at Wynn Palace, don't queue up on the first floor outside, there are a lot of people, just go directly into the mall, there are cable car guides or ask the staff, go directly to the second floor to queue. Also, the luxury goods here are quite complete🛍️, you can compare the prices yourself. In addition, Guanye Street has many authentic snacks, you can eat while shopping, in short, you will also have a new travel experience in Taipa.
Then talk about the transportation in Macau, we only took the bus twice in Macau, the bus only accepts cash, 6MOP/person. It is recommended to prepare a small amount of cash. You can exchange money directly at the customs. When you get to the customs, if you go to the Peninsula, you can take the fortune car of Grand Lisboa, if you go to Taipa, you can take the fortune car of Wynn/Parisian/Londoner, there are also free shuttle buses from the hotel, these alone have saved us a huge amount of transportation costs.

Macau's unique architecture
Near the Stone Square of Macau Tower, there are many Portuguese-style buildings that have been renovated in recent years and have become a beautiful scenery line in the Macau district. This is also a special attraction of Macau, where the collision of Chinese and Western cultures creates a colorful blend.
