Herron Falls is also known as the Lava Falls.
It is a ring-shaped waterfall. The waterfall branches from the margin of the volcanic lava. The waterfall here falls through different gaps, like many rivers gather together. Not far from the historic Icelandic city of Reykholt, Heron Falls rushes down into the Hvit river. The meandering stream spans 900 meters and passes through the lava fields filled with pores, forming a spectacular waterfall group. Herron Falls Unlike the average waterfall, its upstream is not a lake, but a large volcanic lava landscape. The water from the waterfall comes from the Lange Glacier. The water seeps through the volcanic lava and smashes out on the edge of the lava and falls into the meandering Hevita River. As the strongest waterfall on the surface, Iceland is also unique in N waterfalls.
