Explore the Enchanted Mountains of Huaguo, the Legendary Setting of Journey to the West
Huaguo Mountain, a place steeped in legend, transports visitors into the mythical world of Journey to the West. The ancient trees tower over the landscape, waterfalls cascade down, and the air is filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers, as if hiding the footprints of Sun Wukong. Reaching the summit, one can overlook the entire breathtaking scenery, shrouded in mist, giving a sense of ethereal beauty that blurs the line between reality and dream.
As you climb, you'll encounter many mythical landmarks such as the Water Curtain Cave and the Monkey King's Palace, each brimming with legendary and fantastical charm. The Water Curtain Cave, in particular, features a waterfall that falls like silver threads, and the cool, serene interior feels like entering Sun Wukong's home. Visitors excitedly take photos, soaking in the rich cultural atmosphere and the allure of the legends.
Huaguo Mountain seamlessly blends natural beauty with cultural significance, offering a magical journey through both culture and nature. Not only does it showcase the grandeur of Jiangsu's landscapes, but every detail also brings the myths to life. This trip to Huaguo Mountain has brought me endless surprises and memories, making it an unmissable travel experience.

Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain, Guanshen Terrace and Tangseng Cliff.
After taking a photo with the Huaguo Mountain sign, I started exploring the road on the right.🚶
.
I saw the word "Shenlu" (Divine Road) carved on a huge rock. I crawled through it and saw many "Shen" (Divine) characters carved on the rocks on the side of the road.🧐
.
Then I found a small cave on the side of the road. At first, I even thought it was the Water Curtain Cave, but I quickly denied this idea.🙇
.
After walking through the Divine Road, I arrived at the Guanshen Terrace. I didn't know I had taken the wrong path until I got here. I thought it was a mountain climbing road. I didn't expect it to be the end. It seems that I have to go back the same way.😓
.
Although I took the wrong mountain climbing road, I didn't regret coming here at all. After all, the Guanshen Terrace is very wide. I can rest here without being disturbed by others, and I can also enjoy the beautiful mountains in the distance.😁
.
After returning from the Guanshen Terrace to the fork in the road, I knew that the mountain climbing road must be on the left, so I went straight up. I saw the words "Tangseng Cliff" here. I didn't notice it when I was in a hurry to take a photo. I have to say that the Tangseng Cliff is really beautiful.🧐
.
After going up, I saw a rock carved with "72 Caves". If you go further up, you will see the words "Tianxing Wutong" (Nature and Enlightenment are the Same).😊
.
After taking photos with these, I saw another interesting sign. There was a picture of Zhu Bajie on it, and it said "I, Old Pig, have been waiting for you for a long time".😁

Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain Lianhuandong, Tang Monk, Green Lion, White Elephant, Leopard Jing and the beautiful heart-shaped landscape.
First, check in at the exit of the cave, and then see the name of this cave next to it. Although I don't quite recognize the second word, I think it should be Lianhuandong🧐
.
The key point is that I met Tang Monk, Green Lion, White Elephant and Leopard Jing on the mountain road later. Wow, this is the first time I have seen it when I grow up. I originally thought it was worth seeing monkeys🐒. I didn't expect to see these. This trip to Huaguo Mountain is really full of surprises. 😁
.
Then go to the trees and rocks by the road to check in the beauty of nature, and indulge in it for a while🙇
.
After returning to the main road, walk to the corner in front, and check in the beautiful rock landscape in front of you🧐
.
Then check in on the steps on the left. At this time, a tour group came over, so I quickly gave way and continued to explore the scenery below🚶
.
Sitting on the wooden board and checking in this heart-shaped landscape is really beautiful. There is a sign next to it, which says that the wind that misses you has also blown to Huaguo Mountain🙇

Wu Cheng'en Statue and Eighteen Bends Hiking Trail in Huaguo Mountain, Lianyungang.
After walking up from the Three White Bone Demons, I arrived at the mountain gate with a statue of Wukong on top. Huaguo Mountain on the front and Dongsheng Shenzhou on the back. Monkey King's mighty and domineering aura is on full display. 😎
.
The small bridge I walked over is called Xianren Bridge. If you add a name, it does have a different artistic conception. 🧐
.
However, the most worthwhile打卡 here is the Wu Cheng'en statue inside. There is also a landscape of Journey to the West below him.🙇
.
After walking up from the Wu Cheng'en statue, the real hiking trail starts at the Eighteen Bends. You will also see scenic area signs on the way, which say that there are still 2.4 kilometers to Water Curtain Cave and it will take about 70 minutes to walk. 🧐
.
It's tiring and hot to walk up all the way. Take a break and sweat in this wind gate pavilion.😓
.
After walking to a fork in the road, there are two roads. But don't worry about going the wrong way, because the scenic area broadcast will keep broadcasting that the road above is for cars and tourists going to Water Curtain Cave should take the road below.😊
.
Check in at the Jiulong Bridge stone tablet and take a break.🙇

Donghai Fairy Mountain, the hometown of the Great Sage! Visit Huaguo Mountain with 'Black Myth: Wukong'
Huaguo Mountain is the 'hometown of the Great Sage Sun' in 'Black Myth: Wukong'. It has long been known as the 'First Wonderland of the East Sea' and 'One of the Four Great Sacred Mountains in the Sea'.
Huaguo Mountain, which integrates mountains, sea views, ancient sites, and mythology, has high value for viewing, touring, and historical scientific research. Its rich cultural landscape and beautiful natural scenery are highly praised by everyone.
Huaguo Mountain is characterized by the interdependence of mountains and seas, ancient towering trees, gurgling streams, fragrant flowers and fruits, playful monkeys, strange peaks and caves, peculiar rocks and sea of clouds, and magical and beautiful scenery.
'Not a step out of this mountain in the entire Journey to the West, the eastward transmission of the Tripitaka is not as the novel says.' The Nuwa Stone, the birthplace of Sun Wukong related to the story of 'Journey to the West', the Water Curtain Cave where he lived, as well as the Seventy-two Caves, Tang Monk Cliff, Pigsy Stone, and Sandy Stone, are all vividly lifelike.
The Jade Girl Peak of Huaguo Mountain is the highest peak in Jiangsu Province, with an altitude of 624.4 meters. It is majestic and spectacular with sheer cliffs and precipitous rock faces. Huaguo Mountain is suitable for all seasons: in spring, birds sing and flowers bloom; in summer, waterfalls rush; in autumn, the scenery is picturesque; in winter, it is covered in silver.
On a sunny day, visiting Huaguo Mountain, climbing and looking into the distance, watching the sunrise over the sea, the vast ocean, and scattered sails, one feels as if 'suddenly doubting one's existence in the mortal world'; on a rainy day, climbing Huaguo Mountain, with clouds and mist, it feels like entering a painting, like being in a fairyland.
The rich natural scenery and splendid historical culture, the unique mountain and water features, and the colorful mythological legends, combined with the wonderful depiction in the classical masterpiece 'Journey to the West', make Huaguo Mountain full of magical charm.
The cultural landscape of Huaguo Mountain has a long history and profound cultural heritage. The ancient buildings, ancient sites, ancient stone carvings, and the traces of literati and poets from past dynasties are scattered throughout the mountain.

Trip to Lianyungang
🚗🚗🚗Travel Route:
Day1: Huaguo Mountain
Day2: Lian Island—>> Lianyungang Old Street
Day3: Yuntai Mountain on the Sea
Huaguo Mountain is just so-so. The IP is great, but the local development is lacking. There are many street vendors, but as a family-friendly tourist spot, it lacks interactive activities to attract children's attention. It seems less interesting to kids than the free private Journey to the West museum on the old street.
The conditions of the homestays on Lian Island are average, around ten to twenty square meters for 500 yuan. Given the proximity to the scenic spot, it’s acceptable. The seafood is neither fresh nor tasty, with a plate of shells costing nearly 300 yuan and not tasting good. The sky by the sea is beautiful, but the sand is rough and not fine, with a lot of mud making the seawater quite murky. The operating hours of Lian Island are from 8:30 to 17:30. Charging for access to the beach is understandable, but in the summer, it would be better to open earlier in the morning for people to watch the sunrise or enjoy the cooler weather. The sun rises at 4:30, but the gate opens at 8:30, which is too late. Although the scenic spot claims to close after 9, the shuttle bus service stops at 5:30, and there are signs on the road saying 'No Entry for Tourists.' Are they all expecting people to spend another 50 yuan on the so-called beach music festival?
Lianyungang Old Street is quite nice. The accommodation is cheap and the service is good. Thumbs up. There is a sunset viewing platform on the old street, which offers a beautiful view with the busy yet peaceful port in the background. The large stone-paved road on the old street has a lot of character. There are some free attractions near the old street, which are quite good, especially the Journey to the West museum, which is quite interesting. The railway museum built on the old Lianyungang station railway is also worth a visit. The scenery of Yuntai Mountain on the Sea is beautiful, but it was too crowded and hot that day, with sweat pouring down like rain. Only old popsicles could cool us down. A group of us climbed to the top of the mountain, looking down at the strange feeling of gazing into another world. The vast sea, the busy port, the peaceful mountain village, the distant rolling mountains, and the bustling crowd behind us all harmoniously blended into a beautiful picture of the human world.

Absolutely beautiful Huaguo Mountain! Why has it become a 'lightning rod' place?!
When mentioning Huaguo Mountain, you might have some doubts, but I must tell you, this is definitely a fairyland worth visiting!
Upon arriving at the foot of the mountain, take a shuttle bus straight to Yunu Peak. The winding mountain road offers picturesque scenery, and the view from the top is breathtaking! If you're lucky, you might encounter a sea of clouds, making you feel like you're in a fairyland.
Climbing to the top of Jiangsu's highest peak, Yunu Peak, you can overlook Lianyungang, with the vast land stretching beneath your feet, which is truly awe-inspiring! The cable car at Huaguo Mountain is also unique, making you feel like you're 'flying' in the air. Photographers will help you capture the moment, making it definitely worth a try!
On the way down, walk to the Water Curtain Cave, where you'll encounter many monkeys along the way. Some are walking with their babies, while others are leisurely foraging. I brought bread, fruit, eggs, and McNuggets, and found that the monkeys love fruit the most, especially bananas, making the interaction very engaging! (ps: The monkeys don't like McDonald's)
After exiting the Water Curtain Cave, a short walk will take you to Sanyuan Palace, where you can take a car down the mountain. But we chose to hike down and discovered the 'Monkey Prison' along the way, where monkeys that steal or fight are imprisoned. Their 'glorious deeds' are printed on the railings, which is quite amusing. 🐒
Want to see the most beautiful Huaguo Mountain?
1. Avoid holidays to prevent crowds.
2. Set off in the morning to catch the beautiful sea of clouds.
3. Bring fruits that monkeys love to eat for close interaction.
4. It's recommended to take a car up the mountain and walk or take a car down, depending on personal preference.
5. Check the weather in advance, as cloudy days may affect the viewing experience.
From my personal experience, Huaguo Mountain is definitely worth a visit. It lives up to its title as a 5A scenic spot in Lianyungang. I hope everyone can see the most beautiful side of Huaguo Mountain!

Lianyungang Two-Day Tour (Part 2)
June 19th in Lianyungang, cloudy, not hot at all. Today I plan to take the kids to Huaguoshan and Liandao for some fun.
Transportation:
If you don't get carsick, just take the tourist express. But my child gets carsick, so we took a taxi to Huaguoshan, which cost over 20 RMB for a fast ride.
After coming out of Huaguoshan, walk to the tourist express station and take bus 3 (section), 5 RMB. Get off at the tourist center, buy tickets.
Tour Route:
Huaguoshan: Take a one-way bus at the foot of the mountain, get off at Yunnvfeng, check in at the highest peak in Jiangsu, and then start walking down the mountain.
Yunnv Statue → Shuguang Pavilion → Yunnvfeng → Dasheng Guilai → Monkey Garden → Jade Emperor Palace → Shuilian Cave → Sanyuan Pavilion
Take a one-way bus from Sanyuan Pavilion to Xianren Lake, feed the fish, watch the movie 'Flying Over Huaguoshan', and have lunch.
Liandao: Tourist Center → Liandao → Underwater World → Tourist Center → Hotel
Remarks:
1. Bring some cucumbers and tomatoes to Huaguoshan, they are refreshing and cooling.
2. Don't feed the monkeys when with children, the monkeys in Huaguoshan have a bit of a temper and can be aggressive. They're also cunning; a female tourist used a peach to lure a mother monkey close to observe her baby, but ended up being outsmarted and had all her peaches taken from her bag.
3. Have lunch at the Dicos in Huaguoshan, I don't dare to let the child eat street food carelessly. The food on Liandao doesn't feel clean.
4. If the child doesn't strongly request it, I suggest skipping the Underwater World. It costs 70 RMB and there's nothing special about the fish, they're all too common. The sea lion performance is decent, and the child enjoyed it.
5. Took the direct bus 2 back to the city, it was less crowded and faster.
That's all for the day's itinerary! After returning to the hotel, I secretly ordered a small cake for the child's birthday, a little surprise! The next day we took the high-speed train home! The entire trip down south was a great success!

Sun Wukong's hometown originally looked like this
Visiting Lianyungang, Huaguoshan is undoubtedly the best choice. This is the birthplace of Sun Wukong described in 'Journey to the West', known to everyone as the 'hometown of the Great Sage'.
📌 The main peak of Huaguoshan, Yunnvfeng, has an altitude of 624.4 meters, which is the highest in Jiangsu. From the top, you can overlook the magnificent scenery of the entire scenic area, and on a clear day, you can see the sea.
.
🚌 Tour route:
It is recommended to take the sightseeing bus directly to the top of Yunnvfeng from the entrance of the scenic area, then walk through Yuhuang Pavilion to Shuilian Cave, and then go down to Sanyuan Palace before taking the bus back to the entrance of the scenic area. The scenery along the way is the essence of the scenic area.
The route can also be reversed, but going uphill is more tiring than downhill.
.
🐒 About 'Big Brother':
The monkeys on the mountain are concentrated between Yuhuang Pavilion and Sanyuan Palace. It is recommended to use a telephoto lens for shooting. The monkeys are playful and move very fast, so do not provoke or feed them, as getting too close can risk an attack.
The character of the monkeys here is quite good, and they deserve a special mention for not having been found stealing from tourists.
.
🎫 Ticket price is 90 yuan per person (online price, booking one day in advance can save 5 yuan); sightseeing bus from the mountain gate to the top is 25 yuan per person one way, from Sanyuan Palace (Shuilian Cave) to the mountain gate is 20 yuan per person, and tickets can be purchased at each station.
.
💡 Suggested visiting time is 3-4 hours

🚗 Huaguo Mountain bus ticket: Yunnvfeng (Fairy Maiden Peak) 25 yuan per person; Shuilian Cave (Water Curtain Cave) 20 yuan per person (Yunnvfeng is the summit of Huaguo Mountain, it is recommended to start from the summit and play downwards), the bus ticket from Yunnvfeng to the mid-mountain Shuilian Cave is 15 yuan per person, there is also another way from Yunnvfeng to Shuilian Cave which is the cableway for 45 yuan per person, then from Shuilian Cave to the mountain exit is another bus ticket for 15 yuan per person (of course, some friends with good physical strength may choose to hike up the mountain, which takes about 2.5-3 hours, varying from person to person).
🌸 Special scenery: Yunnvfeng, Shuilian Cave, Sanyuan Palace (there are also many mulberry trees and apricot trees in the park)
About monkeys 🐒:
The monkeys at Huaguo Mountain are wild 🐒. After a round of play, most of the monkeys are on a platform above Shuilian Cave and the platform at the exit of Shuilian Cave. We brought bananas 🍌, and they really liked them. The monkeys are very clever, they actively watch you if they see you carrying a bag or holding one, they even climb on you trying to take something from the bag, haha, it's quite fun.
❗ Warm tips: Do proper sun protection, bring enough water and snacks, mineral water on the mountain costs 5 yuan, other drinks 10 yuan. It's suggested to buy from the vending machines in the scenic area, it's a tiny bit cheaper oh🙄

Mount Huaguo, a land of fortune, and the Water Curtain Cave, a heavenly abode
Mount Huaguo is located in the southern foothills of Yuntai Mountain in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. With its 136 peaks, Mount Huaguo's main peak is the Jade Maiden Peak, which stands at 624.4 meters and is the highest peak in Jiangsu Province. The landscape of Mount Huaguo is composed of red granite, with steep mountains and unique shapes. It is a national 5A tourist area and a national geological park. Legend has it that Wu Cheng'en, a native of Huai'an, traveled north by boat, visited Mount Huaguo after passing through the Guan River estuary, and was inspired to create 'Journey to the West'.
'Journey to the West' begins with the following passage: 'In gratitude to Pangu for creating the world, the Three Sovereigns ruled, and the Five Emperors set the moral order. Between heaven and earth, the world was divided into four great continents: Dongsheng Shenzhou, Xiniu Hezhou, Nanshanbu Zhou, and Beijulu Zhou. In Dongsheng Shenzhou, there is a country called Aolai Country. Near the sea, there is a famous mountain called Mount Huaguo. This mountain is the ancestral vein of the ten continents and the dragon source of the three islands. It was established from the separation of clear and turbid elements, and formed after the division of the primordial chaos. At the very top of this mountain, there is a magical stone. Since the beginning of time, it has absorbed the essence of the sun and moon, and after a long time, it gained a spiritual awareness. Inside, it nurtured an immortal embryo, and one day it split open to produce a stone egg, as large as a round ball. Exposed to the wind, it transformed into a stone monkey.
The chaos stone from which Nüwa mended the sky gave birth to Sun Wukong, who became the king of Mount Huaguo and made brothers with the great demons of the demon realm. The eldest brother, the Bull Demon King, was known as the Great Sage Equaling Heaven; the second brother, the Flood Demon King, was known as the Great Sage of the Sea; the third brother, the Peng Demon King, was known as the Great Sage Who Covers Heaven; the fourth brother, the Lion Camel King, was known as the Great Sage Who Moves Mountains; the fifth brother, the Macaque King, was known as the Great Sage Who Penetrates Winds; and the sixth brother, the Yu Ruyi King, was known as the Great Sage Who Drives Gods.
This divine mountain is not only one of the 'Three Immortal Mountains on the Sea' but also the Daoist practice site of the Three Pure Ones. As the 'tail end of the Yellow and Huai Rivers,' the Yuzhou Islands are located on the north side of the estuary of the Yellow and Huai Rivers and bear the important task of suppressing the floods of the Yellow River, which is of extraordinary significance. Mount Huaguo is famous for being the home of the Great Sage Sun Wukong as described in the classic novel 'Journey to the West' and is well-known for the mythological stories of the Monkey King. Since ancient times, Mount Huaguo has been known as 'the number one scenic spot in the East Sea' and 'one of the four great spiritual mountains within the seas,' combining mountains, sea views, historical sites, and myths.
The mountain gate of Mount Huaguo is guarded by four stone-carved lions, reflecting the characteristics of Mount Huaguo: there are no tigers in the mountains, and the monkeys are kings. The stone monkeys around the square are the welcoming monkeys of Mount Huaguo, originally numbering 108, symbolizing the 36 Heavenly Spirits and 72 Earthly Fiends. The plaque on the back of the mountain gate is inscribed with the four characters 'Dongsheng Shenzhou'.
The South Heaven Gate is located above the Bamboo Joint Ridge and to the east of the Wind Gate, backed by steep ridges, strategically situated, and overlooking the Jade Emperor Pavilion and the Sanyuan Palace from afar. In 'Journey to the West', the South Heaven Gate is the outer gate of the Jade Emperor's Lingxiao Hall. Sun Wukong's entry and exit from the heavenly court and his havoc in the heavenly palace all started from the South Heaven Gate. To the south of the South Heaven Gate, there is also an octagonal green stone platform, said to be the marshal platform of the Pagoda-bearing Heavenly King Li Jing. When the hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals were ordered to descend to the world to capture Sun Wukong, Li Jing arranged his troops and dispatched his generals here.
The Water Curtain Cave, as a famous spot in Yuntai Mountain, was originally famous for being the place where the Three Pure Ones cultivated their Taoist practices, with the Heavenly Official, the Earthly Official, and the Water Official being its original masters. The Water Curtain Cave is a representative attraction of Mount Huaguo. Long before 'Journey to the West' was written, the Water Curtain Cave was already well-known. It has been vividly described in the 'Thirty-Six Scenic Spots of Yuntai' by Gu Qian of the Ming Dynasty, as well as in travel notes and various local gazetteers by Zhang Chaorui and others. 'Journey to the West' describes: 'A white rainbow rises, a thousand feet of thunderous waves fly. The sea breeze blows incessantly, and the river moon shines and lingers. The cold air divides the green cliffs, and the remaining flow nourishes the green ferns. The murmuring waterfall is truly like a hanging curtain.' The inscription in the Water Curtain Cave in 'Journey to the West' reads 'Mount Huaguo, a land of fortune, and the Water Curtain Cave, a heavenly abode,' which has a profound connection with the 'Mount Wanshou, a land of fortune, and the Five Villages Cave, a heavenly abode' of the ancestor of earthly immortals, Zhenyuanzi.
The cultural landscape of Mount Huaguo has a long history and a rich cultural heritage, with ancient buildings, historical sites, stone carvings, and the traces of literati and poets throughout the ages scattered across the mountain. During the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, temples and pagodas were built here, becoming a bustling Buddhist sacred place. As early as the 30th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yijun decreed that the main temple of Mount Huaguo, the Sanyuan Palace, be recognized as a famous mountain monastery. Emperor Kangxi personally inscribed the words 'Commanding the Torrents from Afar' on the main peak of Mount Huaguo, the Jade Maiden Peak, to express his reverence for the divine spirits of Mount Huaguo. Chairman Mao had a deep study of 'Journey to the West' during his lifetime, and the stele now engraved on Mount Huaguo is known as the 'Mao Public Stele'.
Mount Huaguo has distinctive landscape features and a mystical charm. The descriptions in 'Journey to the West' of the Water Curtain Cave and the mythological Nuwa's mending stone left behind, along with various myths and folk tales, integrate the natural and cultural landscapes, complementing each other and forming a unique scenic style.
The rich natural scenery and splendid historical culture, the peculiar landscape features and colorful myths and legends, coupled with the wonderful depiction in the classic novel 'Journey to the West,' endow Mount Huaguo with a magical charm!

The Jade Maiden Peak under the cold snow is too beautiful, you must come and see it
❄ After the snowfall, the Huaguo Mountain is shrouded in rime, creating a dreamlike beauty that feels so unreal~
🌟 Scenic Area Tour: The sightseeing car can only be purchased within the scenic area, ⛰ to go up the mountain it is recommended to drive directly or take the sightseeing car to the terminal station 👧 Jade Maiden Peak. For descending, follow the signposted routes, along the way there are many famous checkpoints from Journey to the West, such as the Water Curtain Cave, Monk Tang Cliff, etc. If you run out of energy, you can take the 🚌 bus down the mountain~
🌟 The temperature at the mountain top is really cold, and the wind is strong, be sure to bring a 👒 hat, 🧤 gloves, and keep warm. For those who are afraid of the cold, prepare plenty of warm patches. The scenery of Journey to the West is absolutely beautiful, remember to bring a camera, 📷 it's great for taking photos~
📝 On Huaguo Mountain, there are monkeys 🐒 everywhere, try to keep a certain distance, do not scare them, some of the monkeys might grab people. Along the way, there are 🏡 courtyards selling monkey food, 10-20 yuan, for the brave ones, you can feed the monkeys, they will crowd around you affectionately❗

At the summit of Xueshiu Mountain, the most beautiful Huaguo Mountain!
Once the 'plain face' of Huaguo Mountain in winter is dressed up with the makeup of ice and snow, it surpasses the soft beauty of spring, the colorful summer and the splendid autumn.
Frost spectacle, ice and snow fairy tale. The highest peak in Jiangsu, Sanqianjie, is silver and dreamlike.
Recently, Huaguo Mountain is very popular. Please pay attention to safety when climbing and enjoy the scenery, and keep warm. Don't let the beautiful scenery and winter down, Huaguo Mountain welcomes you!

Lianyungang | Mount Huaguo under the sunset
💰Ticket price: From now until February 2024, admission is free but you must swipe your ID card to enter the park!
Perhaps it's because of my love for the Great Sage since childhood, I decided on a whim to visit the highest peak in Jiangsu.
✅Must experience: Shuttle bus one-way: 25, round trip 50 There is a bus station a short walk from the main entrance, where you can buy tickets now.
Those with poor physical strength must take the shuttle bus up the mountain. Although it seems to be only over 600 meters, when I descended from the peak of Yunnv to the Water Curtain Cave, I felt like I was going to collapse from exhaustion
The bus up the mountain can reach the top of Yunnv Peak. Looking at the panting tourists who walked up, I was glad I took the bus.
The top of the mountain in November is already very cold, and the wind is strong, so you need to wear a down jacket. The Water Curtain Cave is just one side, the scenery of Mount Huaguo is between the mountains of the north and the south. On the way down the mountain, the pavilions I passed had some shadows of Huizhou style, but I was too tired to take a closer look.
🌟Highlight: There are many monkeys on the mountain. I don't know if it's because the Great Sage is in charge, but the monkeys on Mount Huaguo are much better behaved than those in Sichuan. They can be fed by hand, they won't snatch things, and they won't attack tourists.
📌Small Tips: You can bring more bread, bananas, etc., to feed the monkeys.
👍Most recommended: Under the blessing of the sunset, Mount Huaguo in winter is exceptionally beautiful.
