Qingdao is a suitable place for a person to wander around when bored
The mangroves in Huangdao are really a great spot for taking photos.
No wonder there are so many couples taking wedding photos here (pretending to be abroad hhh).
It's a bit far from the downtown area, but it's quite interesting to wander around alone.
German-style architecture🏰, white bell towers⛪️, fountains⛲,
red seats, and various corners make for great photo ops~
Keep walking and you'll reach the sea, the beach isn't crowded, and the sand is very fine.
If you get tired of strolling, spend ten💰 in the square to buy some pigeon feed to feed the pigeons🕊️.
Speaking of which, feeding pigeons is so healing...
The feeling of being surrounded by a bunch of cute pigeons is just too great haha

👍 Most recommended:
It is suggested to divide the city tour into 2 days, with one day mainly for a city walk. This route is very classic, the distances are all very close, and you can walk the entire way.
🌟 Highlights:
In addition to Xiaomai Island and Yan'er Island, if you want to see the sea, you can go to Taipingjiao Park, which is less crowded and quiet, giving a sense of peaceful years passing by.
Spend a day in Laoshan District, Shazikou is super beautiful, with the red houses on the sea.
✅ Must experience:
For those taking the high-speed train to Qingdao, try to buy train tickets to Qingdao Station and head straight to the city attractions; Qingdao West is in Huangdao, if your hotel is booked there, choose this, it's nearly 1 hour to the city center by subway.
📝 Note tips:
With the current temperature, the weather will change in the morning and evening, bring a coat.

Qingdao Huangdao | Beauty that needs no filter
Beauty that needs no filter. Early summer is truly the most beautiful season in Qingdao, and the most beautiful place in Qingdao is Huangdao! The hills are covered with blooming wildflowers, complemented by the azure sea and the stunning sunset, creating a picturesque scene that soothes my heart~ No filter needed! No editing required! It's too beautiful, too beautiful! Flipping through my photo album every day, I can't help but exclaim countless times! There are just too many to post, I can't possibly post them all!!!

Summer is perfect for sea foraging, especially near the rocky areas by the Huangdao Naval Park
Summer has arrived, and of course, it's time to head to the seaside for some sea foraging! You can really find a lot at the Qingdao seaside, like the rocky area near the Naval Park we visited.
The Naval Park is quite large, and right across from it is a vast beach with very fine sand. During low tide, you can dig for clams on the beach, but if you want to catch crabs, you must go to the adjacent rocky area.
📍Location: Intersection of Haiya Road and Haijun Road, Huangdao District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province
It's quite far from the downtown area, more suitable for driving there. There are many free parking areas on both sides of the road.
📍Sea foraging tools:
1. Small bucket, small shovel, anti-scratch gloves, sea foraging shoes, etc.
2. If you're not prepared, there are also sellers by the seaside, but the prices might be a bit higher.
There's quite a lot to be found in this sea area, and the crabs in the rocky area are not small. However, it's relatively more dangerous, so be sure to pay attention to safety.
Precautions:
1. Be sure to check the tide table in advance, pay attention to safety, and avoid being trapped on the beach during high tide.
2. By the way, it's easier to find more during the big tide retreat on the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar, and during the small tide retreat on the 8th and 23rd.
3. Take sun protection measures to avoid sunburn.

⚫️ Practical tips for solo travel
✈️ Jiaodong International Airport is far away, you can take the 🚇, more than an hour to the city center
🚄 The main train stations in the city are Qingdao Station (most convenient), Qingdao North Station, and Qingdao West Station is in Huangdao
🚇 The city mainly relies on the subway (download "Qingdao Metro") and ride-hailing services, basically, the subway can reach the scenic spots, it is recommended not to drive, it's hard to park
🍽️ For seafood, locals buy it at the market and then go to a restaurant or izakaya to have it processed

Hurry up to take pictures of the magnolia flowers in Qingdao, they are about to wither
🌸 It's the beginning of April again, and Qingdao is full of blooming flowers everywhere at this season. Today, I recommend a very niche spot, by the seaside, where you can easily take beautiful photos with a simple snap ✅

📍 Address: Near Futa Garden, Hongshiya, Huangdao District, Qingdao ✅
🔷 Surroundings: You can go to the seaside, camp, barbecue, walk with kids, and watch the sunrise and sunset. The main attractions are the beautiful scenery with fewer people and the freedom to enjoy as you wish ✅

The sea is absurdly blue! Strolling along the Huangdao coastline!
❤Reason for recommendation:
Coming to Qingdao, tourists flock to the city center's southern and northern districts. In fact, Huangdao on the other side of the city has an excellent winding coastline. Compared to the city's mossy, polluted green sea water, Huangdao's sea water is really blue! Find a sunny afternoon, go north along Jiu Long Mountain Road, what you see is what you get, both the sea water and the blue sky are absurdly blue!
📍Detailed address: 🚉Travel strategy:
Get off at the subway station 'Nan Bei Tun', walk south towards the sea, about a kilometer later you will reach the sea, then keep going north along the coastline along 'Jiu Long Mountain' Road, either close to the road or along the leisure trail of the coastline, you can directly see the stunning sea and sky.
📝Note tips:
There are few pedestrians along the way, so there are almost no shops, you need to carry all kinds of supplies yourself. If you get tired, you can leave the coastline at any time and go to the subway station or bus station.

Qingdao | An art studio where you can play with cats, who can resist that?
I went out for a date with my girlfriends on the weekend,
and randomly chose a DIY handicraft studio.
Unexpectedly, there are cats in this shop!
The cat is very cute,
when you touch it, it will turn into a purring tractor,
and its fur is very smooth and nice to touch🤤
I was worried that the little guy would make a mess when we were painting,
but then I found out that there was nothing to worry about~
When we were painting, the little guy was sleeping on the table next to us,
sometimes staring at you from there,
but it never became a 'desktop cleaner'🤣
.
My girlfriends and I chose to paint a 15*15cm texture painting,
It was my first time painting, and it was really interesting!
You can choose from existing images or choose your own.
It's very beginner-friendly~
I have to say, once I sat down, I entered a state of flow,
I painted for three or four hours,
and I felt a great sense of accomplishment when I finished!

Qingdao has actually built a new Zhanqiao in Huangdao
Qingdao has actually built a new Zhanqiao in Huangdao. The new Zhanqiao is very large and long, leading directly to the sea, and it's quite beautiful. The new Zhanqiao also has a nice name, called 'Deep Blue Light'.
The whole bridge is about 500 meters long, and there are many graffiti on the bridge, all of which are various marine animals, lifelike, quite beautiful.
The new Zhanqiao is open to the public for free, and the opening hours are from 7:00 in the morning to 8:00 in the evening. There are not many people coming now, so you can stroll around.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience for the price. The room was fairly clean, and the service was good, although non-Chinese speakers might encounter some challenges. The location is a bit tricky to find without a lobby; the reception is on the 6th floor. 😂 Despite these quirks, I'd say it's a reasonable choice considering the cost.

Huangdao scenery
Visited Huangdao Area in Qingdao. This is a newly developed area with great outdoor boardwalk that stretches a few miles.
You got Silver Sand Beach in addition to the newly glitzy buildings surrounding the boardwalk. Newly created wetland area and still developing stretches along the coastline. The only thing that's missing are the restaurants to soak up the scenery. #huangdao

Huangdao District (黄岛区) is well known for its industrial zones, commercial ports, and of course Golden Sands Beach. All of which are now easily accessible via the sub-oceanic tunnel.
Golden Sand Beach: The largest beach in XueJiaDao offering beachcombers a playground as far as the eye can see. Silver Beach: Located just south of Golden Sand Beach, this rugged coastline offers visitors a more secluded area to relax
