The Unique "Red" of Huilongwo
The "red" of Huilongwo refers to the "contrast beauty" created by the red lanterns and the blue bricks and tiles. Isn't it beautiful? To the south of Huilongwo, there is a wall full of red lanterns, which look like red stars from a distance. In the alleys of Huilongwo, almost every shop has red lanterns hanging, which look like fire from a close distance. During the day, this "red" makes people feel passionate and excited. At night, this "red" makes people feel intoxicated. Huilongwo has everything you need for eating, drinking, and entertainment. After drinking and chatting, you can enjoy a leisurely walk in the "red" of Huilongwo. Isn't it a unique enjoyment? Come on, I'm waiting for you in Huilongwo!

Huilongwo - Legend has it that the Qianlong Emperor got lost here, hence the name. There is another story. According to the Xuzhou Chronicles, Huilongwo is a low-lying area where rainwater flows back and accumulates for a long time, so it is commonly known as "Huilongwo" (backflow vortex), which sounds like "Huilongwo" (dragon's lair). It is also said that this place was originally wasteland, and at the suggestion of the official Zhang Tingyu, the Ming emperor ordered it to be built into an imperial garden for the royal family to play. At that time, there was a winding river in the garden called Huilong River, and there was a Huilong Pavilion on the hill in the middle, so the whole garden was called Huilongwo.

2. Xuzhou food recommendations🍚
💡Xuzhou is located at the junction of four provinces, so there are many kinds of food. Barbecue, bazi pork, ground pot chicken, rice noodles, etc. are all Xuzhou specialties. The taste is heavy, suitable for diners who like strong flavors. In Xuzhou, food is often hidden in small shops near residential areas. These small shops are inconspicuous, but the taste is often memorable.
💡It is recommended that you try some old snack bars, such as "Old Xuzhou Barbecue", "Xu Family Bazi Pork", etc. These shops have been in business for many years, with authentic flavors and are loved by locals. In addition, Xuzhou's rice noodles are also a must, with a delicious taste and worth a try.
💡While tasting food, you can also feel the unique charm of this city in the streets and alleys of Xuzhou. Whether it is a modern skyscraper or an ancient street, Xuzhou will leave a deep impression on you.
💡Come to Xuzhou! Start a romantic and unforgettable journey here!💡

Just returned from Xuzhou, 3 days and 2 nights, no pitfalls, all honest words!
For Qin and Tang culture, go to Xi'an; for Ming and Qing culture, go to Beijing; for Han culture, go to Xuzhou. From Xiang Yu to Tao Qian, from Liu Bei to Lu Bu, Xuzhou was their stage. When traveling to Xuzhou, you must see the three Han Dynasty wonders (Han Terracotta Warriors, Han Tombs, and Han Stone Carvings).
Xuzhou is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the city on one side. The city layout is similar to Hangzhou, with Yunlong Lake, which has the same lake and mountain scenery as West Lake. The city has a strong cultural atmosphere, most attractions are free, and the cost of living is not high, making it very suitable for leisure and dining.
2 days and 1 night itinerary
Day 1: Xuzhou Museum → Yunlong Mountain → Xinghua Temple → Yunlong Lake → Observation Deck → Cable Car/Hiking Down the Mountain (Yunlong Lake Direction) → Fuguo Street (Xingshi Community)
Day 2: Huilongwo → City Wall Museum → Ximatai → Folk Museum
Day 3: Han Culture Scenic Area → Baolian Temple → Return
Must-visit places in Xuzhou
1. Xuzhou Museum: Western Han Dynasty Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant, jade, ceramics, Han Terracotta Warriors, etc. The museum's treasure is the Golden Threaded Jade Garment.
2. Yunlong Lake Scenic Area: Yunlong Mountain is right in front of the museum entrance. The observation deck on the mountain top offers a bird's-eye view of Yunlong Lake and the entire Xuzhou city.
3. Baolian Temple: A grand Tang Dynasty-style temple with impressive architecture (near Xuzhou East Station).
Huilongwo Historical and Cultural Block: Recommended to visit at 6–7 pm for the night view, with lanterns everywhere, full of Jiangnan charm.
4. City Wall Museum: Ming Dynasty relics, ancient city walls buried underground for over 600 years.
Hubushan: A large historical and cultural block.
5. Ximatai, the folk highland of Xuzhou: The highest point of Hubushan, one of the earliest existing relics in Xuzhou, the remains of Xiang Yu, the King of Western Chu. Reservations are required in advance (free).
6. Han Culture Scenic Area: The largest Han culture theme park in China, ticket price is 80.
7. Guishan Han Tomb: An underground palace, the joint tomb of Liu Zhu, King of Chu in the Western Han Dynasty, and his wife, ticket price is 72.

Xuzhou Hui Long Wo | A great place to stroll.
Xuzhou Hui Long Wo is a great place to stroll. The place is not very big and you can finish strolling in a while. There are not many people during the day and it is quite quiet. There are some specialty shops. The lights of Hui Long Wo at night, coupled with such buildings, are more characteristic.
Xuzhou really has the artistic conception of "that person is in the dim light". "Moths, snow willows, gold threads, laughter, and fragrance. Looking for him in the crowd, suddenly looking back, that person is in the dim light."
I wandered around in Hui Long Wo, watching the girls in ancient costumes, showing their most beautiful side under the dim light of the ancient buildings, which made me seem to travel back to the scene depicted in Xin Qiji's poem. Xuzhou Hui Long Wo Historical and Cultural Block

Xuzhou, how can you be so beautiful—Huilongwo
Xuzhou, how can you be so beautiful—Huilongwo
The current Huilongwo Historical and Cultural Block is a composite block that relies on folk customs and integrates fashion and leisure. The block was first built during the Qing Dynasty, and the architectural layout is typical of traditional Xuzhou residential buildings, with the oldest house being over 200 years old. According to the Xuzhou City Chronicle, Huilongwo got its name because the terrain is low-lying, causing rainwater to backflow and accumulate for a long time, commonly known as 'backflow whirlpool'. Later, the name was harmonized to 'Huilongwo', meaning 'Dragon's Nest'.
Although the sun is scorching, strolling through the block and enjoying the changing scenery is very delightful.

Xuzhou Two Days and One Night Guide is here||First Day
||First Day. Xuzhou Two Days and One Night Guide is here||First Day
1⃣️ We departed from Zhengzhou, taking a four-hour train ride (51.5), but we took a three-hour bullet train (64). On the way back, we took the high-speed rail, which cost 164 per person (if time permits, I think taking the train is more cost-effective).
2⃣️ We arrived at around six in the morning. We booked a homestay, but someone stayed the night before, so we had to wait until noon. It was very hot. If you arrive in the morning, it's better to find a place where you can check in early and rest. We went for breakfast first. I didn't take any photos, but you can find a place nearby. Pictures 2 and 3 are of Baolian Temple (ID card required), which is very photogenic. After breakfast, we went there. Going early means fewer people. You can buy a cultural and creative ice cream (16) just for the check-in. The corridor on the right side of Baolian Temple is very photogenic.
3⃣️ Picture 4 shows the rice noodles we had after visiting Baolian Temple. This place is on Fengchu Street. You can choose a nearby rice noodle shop. You must try Xuzhou rice noodles; they are delicious (I think it's just right because I have a heavy taste. If you can't eat spicy food, remember to ask them not to add chili).
4⃣️ Pictures 5 and 6 are of the Metasequoia Trail at Yunlong Lake. It was raining when we went, so we didn't see the green on the water. If you want better scenery, go on a sunny day (very photogenic, recommended).
5⃣️ After taking photos at the Metasequoia Trail, it was evening. We rented a bike (recommended, the way back is very beautiful). We first went to Huilongwo and then to Yizhu Night Market (Xuzhou's signboards are in this night market).
6⃣️ After checking in at the night market, we went to eat and drink. You must try Xuzhou barbecue. We went to Tang Lao San Barbecue (visited by Wulala). It was really delicious. We had handmade noodles and some skewers we liked. It was very satisfying.
Second Day
1⃣️ At noon, we went to eat Bazi Meat (Fengxia Bazi Meat). We queued for a long time, but it was worth it. Highly recommended!
2⃣️ Yunlong Let Tea is worth checking out, as it is unique to Xuzhou.
We were looking for fridge magnets since we arrived in Xuzhou, and we finally found them at the subway station when we were about to leave (average 35-30 each).
We traveled by taxi. In short, Xuzhou has great food, and you won't be disappointed!

Check in at Hubushan, return to Longwo
Busy with the hustle and bustle of life and work, a lot of passion and dreams have been worn away. In your spare time, you always want to add a touch of color to life. For those who like to travel, every check-in holy land tries to light up as much as possible.
People living at the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui provinces are not unfamiliar with the city of Xuzhou. Coming to Xuzhou, you must visit Hubushan, which is half of the history of Xuzhou. Hubushan is located to the south of the ancient city of Xuzhou, also known as Nanshan. In 206 BC, Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, made Pengcheng his capital and built the Xima Terrace on the top of the mountain, which became the first scenic spot in Xuzhou. As the 'ever-prosperous place, Xuzhou never sleeps', there was a saying in history that 'the poor live near the north gate, the rich live near the south gate, and those with money all live on Hubushan'.
After visiting Hubushan, you can walk for about ten minutes to Hui Longwo, a cultural district with a charming atmosphere where you can check in and take beautiful photos.
The reason why it is called 'Hui Longwo' is that, according to the Xuzhou City Records, Hui Longwo is named for its low-lying terrain where rainwater flows backward and accumulates without easy drainage, commonly known as 'backflow vortex'. Later, the name was harmonized to the more beautiful 'Hui Longwo'.
Hui Longwo is known for its folk customs and has been developed into a complex district integrating fashion and leisure. It attracts local time-honored brands and contemporary famous enterprises, creating an exhibition and experience gathering area with local characteristics; and revitalizes the cultural display vitality of the project through 'landscape sketches, scene reproduction, intangible cultural heritage interaction, and special business forms'; becoming Xuzhou's city exhibition hall and a new city business card.
Xuzhou Hui Longwo, with one vertical and two horizontal lanes and three alleys, old trees and ancient wells, and curling smoke, was once an ancient alley that Emperor Qianlong could not escape from. For two hundred years, it has shown prosperity. Today, the ancient charm is perfectly combined with romantic artistry, carrying the local life and atmosphere of Xuzhou.

Internet celebrity check-in, intangible cultural heritage inheritance, creative market... Huilong Nest historical and cultural district has become explosively popular.
Huilong Nest originated in the Qing Dynasty. In the past, due to the low-lying terrain, when it rained, the rainwater from the Hubei Mountain to the south would flow in and accumulate, making it difficult to drain, commonly known as "returning eddy", hence the transliteration and the beautified name "Huilong Nest".
This place retains the traditional architectural pattern and elements from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, with the oldest house being over 200 years old. It is a microcosm of "old Xuzhou".
Stepping into Huilong Nest, you will find buildings with pink walls and black tiles that are unique, and the ancient and quaint courtyards are bustling with visitors. Surprises are endless among the trendy fashion items, coffee dining, cultural experiences, leisure entertainment, and boutique homestays.
As night falls, the entire Huilong Nest is brightly lit, colorful, and crowded. It has become the "ceiling" of the nightlife for Xuzhou residents and those from surrounding areas. The colorful cultural and tourism activities enrich people's nightlife, and you can see citizens and tourists walking through, constantly taking photos and checking in.
If you come to Xuzhou, why not take a turn here and have a look around the streets, there will definitely be surprises!

Xuzhou | Huilongwo - A classical town in the city
Huilongwo is the site of the ancient city wall ruins of Xuzhou, built during the Qing Dynasty. It is a typical residential area of traditional Xuzhou architecture, located in the city center. The district not only features garden-style buildings but also modern cafes, Western restaurants, and local Xuzhou snacks. If you want to trace back through history, the Ancient City Wall Museum is also located here.
The district's layout and architecture are also very distinctive, blending modern aesthetics with a sense of historical weight.
At night, when the street lights are lit, it feels like traveling back a hundred years, immersing oneself in the historical travel experience.
Address: No. 8 Jiefang Road, Yunlong District, Xuzhou
Bus route: Take bus No. 62, 65, 39, 19, or 20 to the China Life Insurance Station, and walk about 300 meters to arrive.

Xuzhou—A Cherry Blossom Viewing Trip to Hui Long Wo
In the Hui Long Wo of Xuzhou, there is a cherry blossom avenue that allows you to experience the beauty of a modern city in this ancient neighborhood. Clusters of flowers adorn the trees, while beneath them, crowds gather to admire the cherry blossoms. Occasionally, you'll see beautiful women and handsome men dressed in Hanfu passing by, creating an illusion of time travel. In the spring season, you can feel the warm breath of spring, which is very delightful.

Huilong Nest - City Wall Museum
Xuzhou's must-visit Huilong Nest historical and cultural district—the first stop is the Xuzhou City Wall Museum. The place is not big, but it is a witness to the history of Xuzhou. This is a building from the Ming Dynasty over 600 years ago. Due to the Yellow River changing its course in ancient times, Xuzhou frequently suffered from floods. After the ancient city of Xuzhou was repeatedly submerged, new constructions were continuously built on top of the old city. This formed the ancient city's legacy of 'city beneath city, government office beneath government office, street beneath street, well beneath well'. Seeing these ancient relics, one can't help but admire the wisdom and intelligence of the ancients, leaving behind a historical and cultural heritage for future generations.

Xuzhou Hui Long Wo Travel Guide | Things only locals know
Hui Long Wo | Why do so many locals recommend this attraction? First, it's because it has many ancient buildings from Xuzhou, some of which can even be traced back to the Qing Dynasty, making it especially great for 📸. There are many restaurants (most with an average cost of 50-80 per person, I've tried quite a few, and the taste is generally good), specialty shops (bronze ware, Zhang Xiaoquan scissors, etc.), snack stalls, and the prices are generally within a normal range. It's a place where locals in Xuzhou also like to hang out.
-
⭐⭐Transportation
🔸Don't drive❌ It's super congested on holidays, and hard to find parking
🔸Ride a 🛵 and navigate to Pengcheng Courtyard Cultural and Creative Industry Park! Easy parking, there are Mobike and HelloBike parking spots right at the entrance, and at Pengcheng Courtyard you can also check in at a huge hand-painted 🐱 wall (if you enter from here, be sure to ask the security guard where the toilets are first, as the toilets in Pengcheng Courtyard are upstairs, otherwise, especially on holidays, the two toilets in Hui Long Wo are either far away or have long queues)
🔸🚇 Take the subway line 2 to Hubu Mountain Station, which goes directly to Hui Long Wo
-
⭐⭐Attractions:
① Ancient City Wall Ruins
Right next to the Cat's Sky City, that glass section is it, the city wall is below, really cool, and the glass walkway is also very interestingly constructed.
② City Wall Museum
Open from 11:00-17:00, no documents or reservations required. It has two floors, the ground floor and the basement. The ground floor exhibits are not fixed; I've seen photography exhibitions, packaging exhibitions, etc., and they change regularly. The basement displays some historical graphics of Xuzhou, and you can actually touch the ancient city wall.
-
⭐⭐Photography 📸
You can rent Hanfu for 30 yuan an hour, and the atmosphere is even better at night than during the day. If you go at night, it's best to bring a small light to illuminate your face, which is convenient for post-editing.
The ancient city wall ruins and the City Wall Museum are both very photogenic, and there are many other good spots, but there's one place that basically only locals know about, which is a small garden opposite the walking Xuzhou, where many local girls go to take pictures in Hanfu during the day. It has pavilions, ponds, and is a good spot for photography.
-
⭐⭐Eating
Behind Cat's Sky City, where there used to be a parking lot, there's now a Xuzhou Night Si, which is said to be a night market but is also open during the day. It's just the usual downtown Xuzhou night market prices, with wheel cakes, fountain beef offal, Xuzhou grilled gluten, grilled lamb skewers, etc., all available there. I usually eat at the night market when I go there myself.
For restaurants with an average cost of ten to twenty yuan, you can go to eat at Model Rice Noodles, and for other large restaurants, the decor is usually quite distinctive, so you can search for reviews and choose according to your taste.
-
⭐⭐Stamps and Souvenirs:
Three stamping points
① Cat's Sky City, with 6 stamps, used to be free, but later when more people came to stamp, you had to buy a 3 yuan postcard at the cashier first, and then you can stamp after paying, and you can also send postcards.
② Walking Xuzhou, with two stamps, free to stamp, official design, no consumption required. At the official store, you can buy a passport for 9.9 yuan, which compared to the blank passport from the creators, has pictures of the attractions and will guide you to where the official stamps for each attraction are. You can also buy edible and specialty souvenirs here; I've bought Lvliang peanut candy here before, which was really good, with generally good flavors, nice packaging, and prices ranging from 10 to 30 yuan.

Xuzhou | Well-preserved Qing Dynasty residential building Hui Long Wo, and there is a snack street
🚗 Hui Long Wo Historical and Cultural Block is located south of Qingnian Road, east of Pengcheng Road, north of Jianguo Road, and west of Jiefang Road. The total construction area is 23,000 square meters. There are cultural relics such as the ruins of the ancient city wall of Xuzhou and Kuai Zai Pavilion nearby. The architectural pattern is a typical old building of traditional residential buildings in Xuzhou. The Hui Long Wo block was built during the Qing Dynasty, and the oldest house has a history of more than 200 years.
🚗 The reason why it is called "Hui Long Wo" is because, according to the Xuzhou City Chronicles, Hui Long Wo is low-lying and the rainwater flows back. It has been accumulated for a long time and is difficult to drain. It is commonly known as "backflow vortex", and later harmonized its sound, and it is beautifully called "Hui Long Wo".
🚗 Hui Long Wo is located in the core area of Xuzhou's main urban area, only a few hundred meters away from Suning Square. The Xuzhou people say that "rich people live on Hubu Street", and it is only separated by a road. The block is surrounded by Qingnian Road, Pengcheng Road, Jiefang Road and Jianguo Road, and the Kuai Zai Pavilion Park is directly opposite to the east.
🚗 The Hui Long Wo Historical and Cultural Block on the ground is full of colorful lanterns, hanging at the doors and walls of traditional ancient residential buildings with green bricks and black tiles. There are three lanes with one vertical and two horizontal, old trees and ancient wells. It is a luxury in the downtown, without seeing the smoke curling up, but only seeing tourists shuttling through. Just like the history of ancient Pengcheng, it permeates in the bustling. Walking in it, there is a sense of time and space traversal.

🍽Food Recommendations:
Yi Ba Night Market: There are many snacks near Pengcheng No.1 in Yi Ba Night Market, all of which taste very good, and there is also Xuzhou's own milk tea brand.
Wanda Plaza: There is also a snack street next to Wanda Plaza, which is also very rich in variety. Basically, there are all kinds of milk tea shops. The tea from the Overlord Tea Princess, Ma Wu Wang, Yunlong Let Tea (Xuzhou local brand) are all very good. The braised pig's trotters from the Weird Taste Yu's family are very flavorful, and the meat can be deboned in one bite. The meat is also very delicious, fat but not greasy.
Greenland Barbecue: Xuzhou barbecue is considered a special delicacy, you can experience the fun of barbecuing yourself, and the skewers are also relatively large.
Special snacks: spicy soup (local people often drink in the morning, it is recommended by local people to eat, it is relatively spicy for people who can't eat spicy), Xuzhou rice noodles, spicy chicken (this is really spicy, but it is also very delicious), Roselle tea, etc. Xuzhou's food is really a lot, it feels very close to the taste of the north, I really like it.

Xuzhou Huilongwo Cultural Scenic Area. City Wall Museum,
The mark of yesterday, a heavy history.
Location is very easy to find, when people go to it is not particularly good, very suitable for taking pictures, especially when there is sunshine, very beautiful! Can unlock a lot of photo poses, the focus is still free ~
