Xiaman Embroidery Art - Liu Yamei and Liu Sitong Art Exhibition.
The "Xiaman Embroidery Art - National Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors Liu Yamei and Liu Sitong Art Exhibition" is being held at the Beijing Imperial City Art Museum.
Manchu embroidery, or Manxiu, is the abbreviation of Manchu embroidery. Due to its exquisite and high artistic value, it became part of the royal culture in the Qing Dynasty and a symbol of status and rank. The clothes of the emperor and concubines, the rank badges of ministers, and the collars and cuffs of dignitaries were all embroidered with different patterns. At that time, officials were honored to receive Manchu embroidery from the emperor.
Compared with Hunan embroidery and Suzhou embroidery, the characteristics of Manchu embroidery are mainly reflected in the stitching, such as the triangular stitch, which is unique to Manchu embroidery.
Liu Yamei, born in 1964, graduated from Harbin Normal University in 1995. She is now the fourth-generation representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage "Manchu embroidery".
Liu Yamei loved listening to her grandmother tell various stories about Manchu embroidery when she was a child. She became fascinated with the ancestral Manchu embroidery at the age of seven or eight and was good at embroidery at the age of 16. No matter what work she did later, Liu Yamei never gave up embroidery, and her embroidery skills became more and more mature.
In the more than 40 years of being accompanied by Manchu embroidery, Liu Yamei has never given up her pursuit of Manchu embroidery skills and art. Since 2004, with her infinite love for Manchu embroidery culture, Liu Yamei founded "Yamei Embroidery House". Since then, she has created a series of popular Manchu embroidery artworks, making this royal embroidery once again exude unique charm.
Liu Sitong, a disciple of Liu Yamei, a national intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Manchu embroidery. She is now the fifth-generation inheritor of the national intangible heritage Manchu embroidery. She is one of the top 100 figures in China's intangible cultural heritage and the founder of the Nalanhong brand.
At the Imperial City Art Museum, visitors can appreciate the wonderful Manchu embroidery art and achievements of Liu Yamei and Liu Sitong up close and feel the unique charm of the profound and diverse Chinese culture.

The Art of Precision Exhibition - Jaeger-LeCoultre High-end Watchmaking Limited Time Experience
Since the concept of time was established by observing the movement of the sun and the moon and the change of seasons in ancient times, humans have been constantly exploring methods to accurately define and measure time.
Jaeger-LeCoultre firmly believes that any achievement in the field of human exploration requires time, patience, and effort. Since the inventor and self-taught watchmaker Antoine LeCoultre, who owns many patents, founded Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1833, the Grand Workshop has always pursued precision as its core purpose. As Antoine LeCoultre's watchmaking workshop gradually developed, it quickly won a prominent reputation for its excellent quality and set standards for the modern watchmaking industry. Since the mid-19th century, top Swiss watchmakers have competed to use Jaeger-LeCoultre movements in their own timepieces. Jaeger-LeCoultre has thus become the recognized "watchmaker's watchmaker", a reputation that continues to this day.
Since its establishment in 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been known for its infinite enthusiasm for creation and innovation, and is known for its many precise and complex functions and precise and extraordinary mechanical masterpieces.

Kejing Sui Chu - Wang Hongmei Calligraphy and Painting Restoration Exhibition.
In the Imperial City Art Museum within the red walls of the Beijing Imperial City, a special painting exhibition is being held. Why is it a special painting exhibition? Because what is displayed in this exhibition is not a work (calligraphy and painting), but the restoration process of a work. This exhibition is "Kejing Sui Chu - Wang Hongmei Calligraphy and Painting Restoration Exhibition".
Wang Hongmei, a research curator and calligraphy and painting restoration expert at the Palace Museum, is the third generation inheritor of the ancient calligraphy and painting mounting and restoration skills of the Palace Museum.
Wang Hongmei has been working in the Palace Museum for 29 years, specializing in cultural relic protection, especially calligraphy and painting restoration. She has been pursuing exquisite skills tirelessly, and has restored 350 pieces. Especially the Yuan Dynasty "Huang Gongwang Tianchi Stone Wall Picture Scroll"; Yuan Dynasty "Wang Meng Summer Mountain Residence Picture Scroll"; Yuan Dynasty "Zhao Mengfu's Portrait of Du Fu Scroll"; Qing Dynasty "Hua Yan Self-Portrait Scroll"; Qing Dynasty "Fan Qi Washing Tongtu Scroll" and other important first-class cultural relics have reached a high level of restoration, enabling these Chinese treasures to be reborn and continue. What is exciting is that we also have a large number of cultural relic restorers who are similar to her. They are also "Kejing Sui Chu", dedicated to protecting and inheriting the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, and working hard to make China's cultural relic protection cause continue to reach new heights.
