[2024 Singapore Stay] Travel Guide for InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay, an IHG Hotel (Updated Sep)
Fancy Ingredients but Only Okay Dishes
#sgfoodies #restaurant #dinner
Popular for their wood fire pizzas and for good reason too. Their wood fire pizzas taste exactly as you’d expect it to be with a charred bready burnt taste at the bottom and a creamy well melted cheese with tomato sauce on the top. Although it would have tasted better if the food came out earlier. On average, we had to wait about 30 minutes for each dish to be served. By then the pizza has soaked the paper under it with oil to the point where it was difficult to peel off the pizza.
Their pasta had some premium ingredients such as lobster and truffle. But we only ordered the truffle this time. And it looks like we won’t be trying the lobster because the truffle pasta was so bland that their premium salt tasted much better.
All in all, maybe come here when it’s a non-peak period like slightly after lunch time; 2pm onwards.

The five stars intercontinental singapore Robertson quay is located at the Havelock road. You can take the Thomson east coast line and walk a few minutes to reach there. The hotel rooms are luxurious and this is a newly opened hotel a few years back. The gym facilities are well equipped and there is a swimming pool within the hotel. Guests are also able to use the bicycle to ride through the trail along the hotel. It is definitely a very enjoyable experience to tour around the Havelock area of Singapore. The address is at 1 Nanson Rd, Singapore 238909.

I was fortunate enough to be able to stay in the Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay, with a room that had the view of the Singapore River meandering into the city centre.
The room also came with club privileges, and I enjoyed both the afternoon tea and the evening canapes provided by the hotel. Breakfast was available for club guests both at the club lounge on level 4 and the Publico Ristorante on level 1

A Weekend Break
Throwback to my staycation at Intercontinental Robertson Quay which is a great choice for both leisure and business travellers. The check in area will be at level 4 where the swimming pool and the club lounge will be. I was warmly welcomed by their counter staff, Eunice, who was very professional and also took the initiative to check if I require a late check out.
•
Making my way up to my room, i love the contemporary concept of the room and even though the room was on the smaller side, the limited space available was fully maximised. Love the massive TV in the room to which you connect your iPhone via Chromecast to watch your Netflix for a movie night. If you are in a mood for a refreshing dip, the pool will be at level 4, or you can keep up with your fitness routine in their gym at the ground level.
•
I like the Robertson Quay vicinity, which is a good area to catch up with my friend and his new puppy, with plenty of pet friendly cafes choices to spend time with his cute puppy. An enjoyable staycation, looking forward to be back again!

My berry loft-cation at Studio M Hotel and I want to show you the hotel next to it. I had booked a stay but was unable to make it to Intercontinental Robertson Quay. My swimming pool at Studio M is facing Intercontinental Robertson Quay. So I went over and checked out the lobby. They have free bicycles for rental at the ground floor concierge. There is a counter beside the lift and the staff will assist you for any arrival and departure issues when you need transport. They can also use the hotel phone and assist you to book for a taxi ride. Even if you are not a guest here, they are also happy to help you with the directions.

Near perfect 2-nights @ ICRQ
Stowed myself away for another 2-nights here as the combo of Amex offer + HoteLux was too attractive to resist! 🫠
So the key for this return stay is to enjoy the usd100 dining credit (which the hotel generously converted to sgd150) and to experience the “normal” club intercontinental at the super pretty lounge. 🔥
Nothing new about the room - still super clean and super fancy ✌🏻
Ate like a true dugong at Publico and almost managed to burn through my credits and clocked enuf lounge time (and calories) to make this yet another memorable staycay. The Irish Martini was the bomb! 🍸
Service at the Club was stellar - JY, Thines, and Hakim alongside the many others whom I met. So happy to see consistently good hospitality ❤️
Would have been perfect if the hotel had not been selective about how they treat my 2x 1-night stay: they treat it as TWO different stays when it came to spending the dining credits (ie I had to spend all sgd150 by the same night) BUT they claimed it’s ONE stay when it came to drink vouchers (ie I was only given 1 set). Why like that? 🤷🏻♀️

Intercontinental Robertson Quay - Club Intercontinental
Have heard great recommendation from friends on this club lounge and decided to do a staycation here.
This hotel is more boutique/residential style compared to the Intercontinental at Bugis.
The club lounge (located on level 4) is open from 11am to 9.30pm and include below:
Breakfast 6.30am to 10.30am at Publico Restaurant
Afternoon Tea 2pm to 4pm at Club lounge
Evening Canapés 6pm to 8pm at Club lounge
The club lounge is divided into indoor and outdoor seating. There are the normal dining tables as well as sofa with tables for chilling.
The afternoon tea is served in a 3 tier (unlimited refill) to all club guests. Some of the selections are quite good (especially the chocolate with nuts as well as the hazelnut choux). The scones were underwhelming though.
The evening canapés are the highlights. this is also served to each table by the staffs. Whilst variety are limited compared to other lounges, the quality is really great. The drunken chicken were so good that we keep asking for refill (together with the buttermilk fried chicken). Sparkling wine, house red wine, house white wine, spirits , beer as well as non alcoholic drinks are also included. The staffs could also do cocktails based on the spirits they have on hand.
Service was really great and attentive with the staffs checking on any refills or additional drinks required.
Overall, this is a club lounge to try.

Club Lounge at IRQ😎
Booked this stay thru Trip.com during their 4.4 sale.
Benefits included club access and this is my take on their club 😊 .
The club was packed during my stay, but the service was super attentive! They remembered my name and addressed me by it for my entire stay. I went to the club for afternoon tea and evening canapés.
Tea: Tea had a wide range of non alcoholic drinks, service was super fast and they remembered my preferences for evening cocktails too! More on that later
Evening Cocktails: They remembered my preferences from tea and immediately brought out my favourite bottled water😍! They also served alcohol even though it was before 6pm.
I’ll be back!

Relaxing meals at publico along the river
Publico Ristorante is located in InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay Hotel. It is situated just along the river bank, thus providing a very nice view and breeze when you are sitting at the outdoor porch area.
My partner has a thing for pizza that's baked with wood fire oven. That's a number one sign that tells him that the pizza is good. Imagine his excitement when he saw the wood fire oven that was used here.
I got to admit that I love the pizza here. I'm not a pizza person generally but hey, the pizza here is great! A pizza and a starter of fried calamari and cauliflower was too much for the two of us. The bar here has a big variety of alcohol drinks. Very suitable to come here just for chilling in the night too!

Publico Gathering
Address - Publico
1 Nanson Rd, Singapore 238909
Ambiance/Facilities - romantic italian fine dining
Highlights - Another meet up with my fellow tripfam community, we planned so long already until when the situation is stabilised then we go for our meet up to catch up, talk about staycation and others. As our group is more than 5, we separate our tables. One outdoor and one indoor. We ordered pizza, truffle fries and pasta. The pasta is too creamy and "jelak" that my tripfam friend brought it back because he can't finish it. The truffle fries is filling that we can't finish pizza as well. Surprisingly, price also not expensive.
Avg. Price per Person - $20++
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's a good place to chitchat and celebrate. Tripfam gathering will always be at a very comfortable place where we can enjoy ourself.

InterContinental @ Robertson Quay
We were granted early check-in at 11am and late check-out at 6pm. Service provided from start to end was top notch!
Room has an interesting concept to it and was veryy cosy. Bed was slightly hard but pillows were extremely comfortable!
View from the room isn't very nice, but thankful that they gave us a room on the highest floor.
Breakfast was included in this stay, however there's not a need to prepare for cup noodles if you are staying here as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. There's even a 7eleven just opposite the entrance of the hotel!
Overall a very pleasant stay here! #tigeryear2022#staycation

Staycay by the Quay
Had a weekend staycay for vaValentine's with them. Happily assisted me with my surprise for my partner!
Awesome restaurants within the building such as Wolfgang's and walking distance from 7-11 for mini groceries and bites as well as complimentary parking.
Overall really love the location. The rooms were well laid out and looked modern with a nice separation between the bath and bed area. Bath area is also spacious and comfortable. There is really good F&B around the hotel at the Robertson area and good hotel choices like Publico and Wolfgang puck. Both the pool and gym were great and not too crowded as well. Complimentary parking for hotel guests as well. The intercon service was as usual above par and staff made us feel welcome at every instance.
The club experience was unique and had really friendly staff! All the food and drinks werre free flow and it could definitely replace your meals.
I'm looking forward to my next stay here!

Intercon Robertson Quay stole my heart!
#exploresgtogether
My first staycay of 2022 was a complete success! ❤️
Never quite understood why the hype but now I do.
Classy residential vibes envelopes this entire property as they reopen after a too-long closure for SHN. Half expected to experience residual elements of their SHN stint but nope, they have bounced back with a vengeance indeed! 🥇
The very modern, very classy, and very clean room was such a cosy space despite the erm open concept style and that luscious giant of a king bed was so good. 🎉
Club Intercontinental was the highlight of my stay - it felt like such a private chilling spot because of the lack of crowds on a weekday. The curated offerings were more than enough feed me and the stellar service by the Club team topped off the experience with a dazzling star. 🤩
Never have I been so motivated to sign up as an IHG Ambassador. 💸

Toby’s Estate Singapore
Today, I had the great pleasure of coming to Toby’s Estate in Robertson Quay to try their filtered coffee. Their Colombian freezed coffee is AMAZING - the undertones of mango and coconut are so strong in the beans, yet not overpowering!

📍InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay - an IHG hotel, located right next to the Singapore River. There are many restaurants along the river, making dining very convenient. Many people jog and have afternoon tea by the river. 🌟The location is great, within walking distance to Clarke Quay, the Old Hill Street Police Station, and Fort Canning Park.

🏨The hotel overall is not very tall, with check-in on the fourth floor. I stayed in a 'Classic Room' on the sixth floor. My first impression upon entering the room was 'Wow! It's so small!' But upon closer inspection, the room is small yet exquisite, with a modern and minimalist decor. The space is utilized perfectly and it's very clean. The bathroom is quite small, but the design is overall quite high-end, with Byredo toiletries.
-
🍴The breakfast restaurant is quite unique, located on the street level. It's my first time staying at a hotel where the restaurant is on the street. It seems to be in partnership with a street-level restaurant. The dining rate is quite high, and when I went on Saturday morning, it was very crowded and the restaurant had a capacity limit. To be honest, this restaurant served the most satisfying breakfast among the few hotels I've stayed at in Singapore. The local kueh was delicious. 😋

👉Tips:
1⃣️The room I stayed in had a bug where the opposite side was an apartment building, so privacy wasn't great. If you're planning to stay, you might want to choose a room facing a different direction.
2⃣️The 'Classic Room' is suitable for 1 to 2 people, not very suitable for family travel.
3⃣️The pool is on the fourth floor (if I remember correctly), surrounded by buildings with no view. The rooms generally have a small yet exquisite style. If you're looking for an immersive hotel experience, this might not be the best choice.
4⃣️Overall, the hotel is convenient, clean, well-located, and the service is good. It's very suitable for business trips and also for those who like staying in 'new hotels.'

Amazing birthday dinner at Restaurant Ummi, located in InterContinental Robertson Quay. A beautiful Mediterranean restaurant with amazing ambience and better food. We had the fish (seabass), Shish touk (chicken), hummus (with lentils), muhmarah (red pepper dip) along with pita bread and some wine.
The space is beautiful and the service is great too! Will definitely be back for the fish!!

Excellent service!
Booked the hotel for staycation to celebrate our son 1st birthday. Location is along the robertson quay that allow you to stroll around. Room size is not so big unfortunately.
We book with club intercontinental lounge access. Have a great afternoon tea and evening cocktail at the club intercontinental. The staff (Shirley and Stela) was extremely helpful and attentive even to an active toddler! Two thumbs up for them.
We are having breakfast at Publico. Menu is quite limited and serve in a smaller portion. For an adult, we need to order 2 portion each. #staycation ut 1 portion is good for my 6yo son. Overall is a great staycation!
