The museum not to be missed in Malaysia
📝Malaysia part5📝
🖼️🖼️🖼️🖼️
Islamic Art Museum, I would like to call it the museum not to be missed in Malaysia❗️It is more impressive than the National Museum of Malaysia. It is the largest Islamic-themed museum in Southeast Asia, with a collection of over 7,000 artifacts and artworks, including Islamic architecture, textiles, jewelry, weapons, wood carvings, ceramics, Quran and so on. Regardless of their religious background, art is art, and beauty itself is enough to resonate.

The overall museum tour experience is very good, the exhibition is clear, the movement line design is friendly, and there are few tourists, it is really super good to visit. More than 200 rare and exquisite original Qurans, the world's largest model of the Mecca Grand Mosque can't be photographed in one photo, the Damascus room's restoration room amazed me for a year, and there are many exquisite artworks that I can't name👍👍👍. The museum itself is also very beautiful, several domes are each more exquisite than the last. The quality of the cultural and creative products is also very high, there are many special souvenirs, very suitable for buying as gifts.

We have read great reviews of beautiful Islamic art and artifs. The website stated that the museum is amazingly detailed and comprehensive. Containing a variety of stunning paintings and artifs from all over the Muslim world, it is informative and very comprehensive in its descriptions. The architectural gallery was my favorite, with some of the best architectural models I have ever seen and detailed descriptions of mosques and shrines in different geographical areas of the Islamic world.
Malaysia has become home to the largest museum of Islamic art in Southeast Asia.
We found the museum very interesting. The museum shop had beautiful and affordable items.
I was also impressed by the architecture of the museum itself, which has many unique domes that have been intricately drawn and decorated. The gift shop was also full of interesting books and high-quality souvenirs.
The Moza restaurant in the museum was great. My husband thought the pregnancy leg was the best he ever ate. Lentils soup was also delicious. I ordered shish-tauk who was chicken in a skewered with yogurt seasoned with citrus, garlic and spices.... Just great!
The chickpeas were perfect.

Arts Museum Malaysia
I wanted to visit the Islamic Arts Museum and National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur on the same afternoon since they are right next to each other. The Islamic Arts Museum is very quiet, with spacious galleries filled with artwork and information to peruse. I spent around one to two hours pacing through the galleries. The descriptions of the artwork and the background information were well written and insightful.

The First and Largest in Southeast Asian
The Malaysian Islamic Art Museum is the first and largest museum in the Southeast Asian region dedicated to Islamic art. It is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and opened on December 12, 1998. The Islamic Art Museum building was designed by Malaysians to showcase the beauty of Islamic architecture.
Its most prominent feature is the construction of five domes. Four of its domes can be seen from outside, while the fifth dome can only be seen from inside the building. The Museum of Islamic Art, located on an artificial island off the coastline of Doha, Qatar, covers an area of 45,000 square meters and is by far the most comprehensive Islamic-themed museum. It contains world-class treasures of Islamic culture. A group of people, when they arrived here, were completely shocked by the building that floated on the sea. The exterior of the museum is decorated with Islamic white style in a geometric way with simple white limestone. It is also a big hit. It is the mountain of the mountains by the famous Chinese designer Pei Ming.
The museum houses a collection of jaw-dropping Islamic cultural treasures. Gemstones, crystal cups, handmade blankets, exquisite gold masks, and decaying into magic.
Walk here, not only an artistic inspiration experience, It is the perfect harvest of the eye.

Under the dome, the most beautiful museum in Kuala Lumpur!
I don't know why, but museums in Malaysia seem to have a small-scale feel to them, and their collections aren't very impressive.
Until I visited the 📍Islamic Arts Museum
👉Although it's not very large, it's just one word: beautiful!
If you only have time to visit one museum, I would definitely recommend this place!.
It's unique in Malaysia, housing some of the world's most classic Islamic art decorations, including various famous Islamic architectural design models, such as the Taj Mahal, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, and the Ahmad Timur Islamic manuscripts, among which includes 30 Ming Dynasty Judz Qur'ans.
Even without understanding the culture, just looking at the various beautiful patterns and the magnificent domes feels worthwhile!.
🎊Remember to visit the souvenir shop here after your tour, it's really different from other places, with Islamic patterns turned into wooden carvings, fridge magnets, tiles, paintings, etc., and the craftsmanship is also exquisite.

Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia – a cultural treasure that made my 2023 Kuala Lumpur travel memorable! 🏛️✨This museum was filled with Islamic art, history and craftsmanship that cost an entrance fee of 20 MYR.
The building of the museum is located in KL’s city centre and represents a mixture of tradition combined with modern architecture as the core essence for what it holds inside. At the entrance, a calming courtyard gave peaceful access to world of Islamic arts. 🕌🌺
12 galleries host an extensive collection featuring artifacts from different Islamic civilizations. 🖋️🏺
TheQuranand Manuscript Gallery was a spiritual journey trough pristine-preserved ancient manuscripts and the Qur’anie calligraphy. The atmosphere itself made it feel like a place of worship within the museum. 📜🤲
The Jewellery Gallery offered an impressive collection of Islamic jewels from delicate earrings to over-the-top headdresses. Every piece appeared to convey tales of the past. 💍👑
It was easy to continue the cultural exploration as the museum is located close to the National Mosque and Perdana Botanical Gardens. 🌳🕌
The on site museum shop had authentic reproductions of Islamic art and souvenirs – a wonderful way to take home with you part of that cultural experience. 🛍️🎁
For an after-museum pastime, the nearby KL Bird Park offered a natural getaway with its colourful assortment of birds. 1 day is full of harmony between culture and nature. 🦜🍃
Pro tip: Make use of the museum’s free guided tours to gain more insight into what the exhibits are about, but don’t rush for every artifact has a story that should be told. 🗺️👁️🗨️

Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia ✨
If you have any appreciation for the arts or Islamic history or history in general, I highly recommend visiting this museum. There are many examples of beautiful architecture, history, and culture shown and so much information to take in. I would make time for about 3-5 hours depending on how much you'd like to dive deep into all the museum has to offer. I learned a great deal and took plenty of pictures that will keep as a memory and as my own personal history books.
Islamic art has its own beauty, it is often simple, geometric and yet rich. But if you look into the details then there is a wealth of complexity that often leave you astounded. The Islamic Arts Museum showcases that really well while taking the visitors through a logical sequence of the art forms and of the different eras.
This really is a great place to visit in the weekend if you're short of things to do. It doesn't need to break your wallet, as the entry is only RM14 for some of the amazing artefacts that's on offer here. The building itself is to behold. Very recommended.
