Shopping and eating out in Istanbul? Istiklal Street!
👩👩👧👧👨👨👦👦Istiklal Street
It's a bit like our country's Myeongdong?!
Istiklal Street, the best place for shopping
There are many delicious dessert shops on the main street
and there are delicious restaurants hidden in every corner of the alley,
so you can even have a delicious meal after shopping!
When I visited, there was a Turkish soccer game,
so it was hot with people's enthusiasm!
It's right next to Taksim Square,
so if you visit Istanbul, be sure to stop by!

It seems like people from all over the world are gathered here
The most crowded place during my trip to Istanbul, with shopping, dining, cafes, and shops. It's also fun to watch people in a bustling area. It's nice to walk from Taksim Square to Galata Tower and see everything♥️
There's also a famous Kaymak store in Korea, and the prices are cheap, so I recommend you try it!
Be sure to take a picture with the red tram~

Must visit in Turkey📍
I believe many people will know Independence Street in Turkey, it is really good to walk, Independence Avenue is lined with many shops, cosmetics shops, clothes shops, and many restaurants ❤️, there will be performances on the streets, and The most classic is this red tram, it has a lot of history, you are also very nostalgic and beautiful 🇹🇷🇹🇷

[Xin Zhi Shi] This restaurant is listed in the "nearby ranking" in Istislal Caddest. It tastes yummy. Lamb chop is very tender. Roasted chicken wings are also tasty. Freshly hand-made hotcake is authentic. It would be much better if you take some soup. The drink is a mixture of yogurt, water and salt. It is sparse but cleanses the palate. You can have a cup of Turkey black tea after meal to keep your stomach warm. That's a perfect day!

Before I came to Turkey, I always thought that Turkey was a war-torn country, and it was "the crossroads of Eastern and Western civilizations". This kind of view seemed to be the protagonist in East and West. Turkey was just an aisle or intersection, but this trip told me that this is not the case. Turkey itself is a huge and independent civilization, with Islam behind 1.6 billion people.

When I went to Shierqi, I just heard that the hot air balloon in Turkey is very good, but there are hot air balloons in many places, so the idea of going to Turkey is intermittent and has not been acted on. Of course, before departure, I thought that if it were not for Kappa's hot air balloon, the Mediterranean paraglider, the romance of the Aegean Sea, and the speciality across Eurasia, I am afraid that I would not go to Turkey?

🕌🌉 Crossroads of Continents: Istanbul, Where East Meets West 🇹🇷
Istanbul, Turkey’s largest city, is a vibrant crossroads where East meets West, both geographically and culturally. Straddling two continents, Europe and Asia, it offers a unique blend of influences, from Byzantine and Ottoman to modern-day Turkish. The city’s rich history is reflected in its iconic landmarks, such as the majestic Hagia Sophia, which has served as a cathedral, mosque, and museum, and the stunning Blue Mosque, with its intricate tiles and sweeping domes.
The Bosphorus Strait, which divides the two continents, offers breathtaking views of the city, where bustling markets and traditional wooden houses sit beside sleek, modern skyscrapers. The grand Topkapi Palace and the ancient Basilica Cistern are reminders of Istanbul’s imperial past, while the spice-scented Grand Bazaar and the lively Istiklal Avenue reveal the city’s vibrant contemporary culture.
Istanbul’s diverse culinary scene mirrors its cultural fusion, offering everything from flavorful kebabs and mezze to decadent Turkish delights. The city’s coffee culture, rooted in centuries of tradition, is another essential part of its charm.
Whether wandering through its historic sites, savoring its food, or cruising along the Bosphorus, Istanbul captivates with its fusion of ancient and modern, making it one of the most fascinating cities in the world.

Istanbul | Finally arrived at the "capital of the world" as Napoleon called it.
Napoleon once said
If the world could only have one capital
That capital would be called Istanbul
It also has a more resounding name, "Constantinople"
It was once the most glorious capital of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires
The Bosphorus Strait divides the city in two
The east bank is Asia, the west bank is Europe
It is the only city in the world that spans two continents
It is also a melting pot of Eurasian culture

The last visit in Istanbul.
Visit the New Palace in Istanbul, which was built in 1843 and completed in 1856, covering an area of 2.5 million square meters. The interior of the palace is extremely luxurious, and the luxurious crystal lamp is particularly eye-catching, including the world's largest crystal chandelier weighing 4,500 kg. The royal supplies of gold, ivory, ceramics, oil paintings and oversized handmade carpets show the royal style. After the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, the president and the father of Turkey, Kemal, lived and worked here. However, no photos are allowed inside the New Palace. The Suleymaniye Mosque is the last attraction in Turkey. It was ordered by Suleiman I and was built in a very short time from 1550 to 1557. It is the most important work of architect Kocha Mimar Sinan. The mosque is beautiful inside, with a tall dome and a wide hall, and different prayer areas, showing solemnity. There are also supporting Muslim schools around, and the magnificent buildings represent the urban architectural style. After a few days of travel, I have a further understanding of Turkey. The tour guide Farouk repeatedly emphasized that the Turks are Turks and are different from other Muslims. Here, the hotel can sell wine, and women do not need to cover their faces. Walking on Independence Street next to Taksim Square, you can see bars everywhere on the street, shopping malls are lined up, the goods are rich, and the crowd is very new and prosperous. Here you can see tourists from various countries, and there are few Chinese faces. Food is always a tourist attraction feature, and various snacks have their own style. However, the staple food in Turkey is bread, we have breakfast bread, lunch bread, and dinner bread. There are a lot of beef and mutton barbecues, which are very delicious. The

On Independence Street, everyone is learning how to pose for photos from me
Istanbul's Independence Street is like the Champs-Elysées of Paris; it may not be as grand and opulent as the Champs-Elysées, but it is to the people of Shanghai what East Nanjing Road is. Coffee shops/boutiques/delicious food, there really is everything... even two visits weren't enough for me.
📸 About taking photos
Here, I really have the photo of my life! Wherever I go, everyone is learning how to pose for photos from me! No matter the skin color!
▫️ I didn't take the photo while running. It was a 'demonstration photo pose' I did just before starting to run, when the driver had just stepped up (there will be about 5 minutes here).
▫️ After starting, I ran a quick two steps (everyone was making way for me as I ran and cheering me on) and quickly posed in front.
🔸 Vintage 'Ding Ding Car'
It runs from one end of the street to the other, and then back again; after half an hour, it does it all over again. On the bustling street, it seems to have no real traffic value, but it is a place where everyone rushes to take photos.
Even local lads, while it's running, hang on the back just for a good photo 📸
You can also pay by card to sit on it for 17₺ a trip
🔸 Starbucks - 'Turkish Tea Latte'
The shops on this street all have this Turkey-exclusive drink (I have two cups every day when I come to Istanbul!!). Some shops will directly indicate the tea latte, see pictures 1️⃣2️⃣, if not: iced Turkish tea with milk 🧋 Don't miss out on the milk tea!
✔️ Coffee shops/cake shops/patisseries are dazzling
✔️ There are also a plethora of restaurant choices here, you can just find one that catches your eye like we did
✔️ Malls/Sephora/shopping brands, they can also help with tax refunds.
▫️ After coming down from the Galata Tower, take the tram to Beyoglu
☞ On both sides of Independence Street are Galata St (for a high view and Taksim Square (by the sea), going to see the Mediterranean, feeding pigeons, are all good choices

Spring Travel in Turkey | Istiklal Street in Istanbul
Visiting Istanbul, the one street you must stroll is definitely Istiklal Street, which is Istanbul's 'Champs-Élysées'.
/
⭕️ 'About Istiklal Street':
Originally named Pera Avenue, Istiklal Street is located in the historic Beyoğlu district and is Istanbul's most famous pedestrian shopping street.
It was renamed to commemorate the victory of the War of Independence and the establishment of the Republic, with one end connecting to Taksim Square and the other to Tunel Square.
/
⭕️ 'Tram':
The most beautiful scenery on Istiklal Street is the red tram, known as the 'ding ding car', that travels down the street.
The tram goes from one end of the street to the other and then back again.
It stops at many stations along the way, which is a perfect time for taking photos.
Of course, it is recommended to take a ride on the tram, just swipe a transit card, 17 lira per person.
Local kids also like to hang on to the tram, chasing after it as it moves.
If you want to hang on, it's best to do so when the tram is stationary for a photo opportunity.
/
⭕️ 'Recommended Activities':
✔️ Shopping:
The entire pedestrian street is quite long, with luxury goods, clothing, bookstores, gift shops, art galleries, theaters, and more.
✔️ Food:
The street is also home to a variety of Turkish delicacies as well as coffee, Western food, etc., all very exquisite and trendy.
Especially recommended is to try the Turkish kebabs here, they are really delicious!
✔️ Photography:
The whole street is very retro, especially with the beautiful scenery of the 'ding ding car', making it a great place for photos.
/
⭕️ 'Nearby Attractions':
✔️ One end of Istiklal Street is Taksim Square, with the Grand Mosque and the large square, lots of pigeons, great for checking in.
✔️ The other end of the street is the Galata Tower, which is within walking distance and can be visited together.

Istiklal Street 🇹🇷 Istiklal Caddesi
#i̇stanbultrip
The elegant 1.4km Istiklal Street starts in Taksim Square and ends at the north end of Galata Tower. Pedestrian only (mostly), the gravel-covered street, has two narrow lines of antique trams that transport visitors from one end to the other.
On both sides of the street are 19th-century buildings that host hotels, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, jewelry shops, international chain shops, bookstores, bars, art galleries, etc. It is always busy with tourists and locals (especially in the evenings and on weekends) and is the most beautiful street in the huge and global city of Istanbul
The street is a must when you are in Istanbul. You have to go there and wait when the historic tram passes so you can take a photo and video of it. Moreover, the street has many shops and some nice restaurants and bars in the side streets. It's always lively, you'll never get bored of it. It can be full Also musicians and street artists. A fun walk to Taksim Square.
There are a lot of people every time of the day. In the daytime, waiters invite you to their restaurants, and there’s a train that rides up and down all the time, and it’s really busy with trash men who are constantly cleaning the street.
In the evening, there are a lot of young artists doing their music trying to make some money. Different amounts of smells and all the noise, cats, dogs and people, can get a lot at some point.
I would recommend walking, you can feel the atmosphere of the place, and eat something to eat, but if you don’t like large crowds of people, don’t spend too much time there.

Istiklal Street - Istanbul
Istiklal is one of the oldest and main pedestrian streets in Istanbul, it was built in the 15th century. The first floors of the buildings are occupied by shops, restaurants, pastry shops, art galleries, and museums. This street is the heart of the city's shopping, dining, and cultural scene. Along the promenade there are embassies of foreign countries and cultural centers of different countries.
The highlight of Istiklal Street is a small historical tram on which you can travel from the beginning to the end of the street, getting acquainted with the atmosphere of the city, local color and historical sights. The length of Istiklal is 1.4 km.

As the crimson hues of Istanbul's autumn sunset painted the sky, I found myself at LOOKANTA, a charming restaurant nestled in front of the bustling Şehit Muhtar on İstiklal Avenue. The cool breeze carried the enticing aroma of Turkish cuisine, beckoning me to explore the culinary wonders of this enchanting city.
Seated at a table by the window, I watched the world pass by on the vibrant shopping street. The cobblestone lanes echoed with the footsteps of locals and tourists alike, creating a harmonious melody.
The menu at LOOKANTA offered a delightful fusion of traditional and modern Turkish dishes. I savored each bite of succulent kebabs, fragrant mezze, and the flaky, honey-drenched baklava for dessert.
As the evening unfolded, the warmth of the restaurant and the flavors of the food wrapped me in a cozy embrace. With every dish, I fell deeper in love with Istanbul, its autumn charm, and the vibrant soul of İstiklal Avenue, creating memories that would forever linger in my heart.

Türkiye | Strolling around new town Independence Street❤️
One of the day trips in Istanbul is to go to New Town, although the attractions are not as many as the old town, but the feeling is completely different, so if the trip time permits, I recommend you spend a day walking around New Town degree!
One of the places where the most tourists gather is this Independence Street, the architectural style is very similar to other European countries, especially like the UK to me, and the red tram in the New Town area is also very special, full of classic nostalgic feeling 🥰 I decided with He took a picture, then walked the entire main street himself, and there were many shops and restaurants along the way, very lively!

There are a lot of old names on this road. Even the floor is covered with old tiles. The ceiling of the walls is decorated like a palace with crystal lamps. This is a few kilometers away from the old roads. Beautiful.
Walking on the Independence Street, you can intuitively feel the openness and tolerance of Turkey as a secularized country.
This street rarely sees women wearing headscarves. People are dressed in a different way than European countries.

Some people say that if you stay in Istanbul for a day, you will write a poem; for a week, you will write a book; if you stay for a year, you can't write anything. Believe me, every city has such a pedestrian street, but I prefer the independent street of Istanbul.
Baidu said: Independence Avenue is known as the "Sweet Avenue" of Istanbul, starting in the medieval Genoa community near the Galata Tower, ending in Taksim Meydan?, this area in All Ottoman The political, economic, and cultural life of the empire occupies an important position.
Istanbul Independence Avenue is an elegant pedestrian street that presents a state of prosperity. Istanbul in history is a commercial center. Commodities from the Asian Silk Road and the Middle East and Europe are brought together into a huge and rich trading center, first as a distribution center for commodities, and then become a large and rapidly growing commercial center.

In my spare time, I ran to Independent Street, watching people coming and going on the street, and many street performers performing. This time, I encountered a passing army. They were wearing military armor, spinning drums, shaking flags, and preparing to go to the battlefield.
