✔️[Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple] A must-go! Here I saw the "Twenty-eight Constellations" that were actually shot in the game. Each character has a different expression and is very lifelike. It is a unique product at home and abroad!
✔️[Qinglian Temple] The Buddha statues and the Sixteen Arhats in the temple are a must-see, as well as the colorful sculptures from the Northern Song Dynasty; the horned god "The Chosen Worker God" who has been pressed for more than 1,400 years is worth worshiping; the location of the iconic building "Shadowless Pagoda" is very wise .
✔️[Iron Buddha Temple] This temple is hidden in the courtyard of a farmer’s house, and the locals have never had the chance to see it before. It is a must-see in the Twenty-Four Heavens. The look is different from ordinary Buddha statues. It is very special. I could stand waiting in line for 3 hours.
✔️[Imperial City Prime Minister's Mansion] The filming location of the Kangxi Dynasty, the former residence of Chen Tingjing, the teacher of Emperor Kangxi, has a unique architectural style and is very majestic. It is the only 5A attraction in Jincheng City.
✔️[Xiangyu Castle] is very close to the Imperial City Prime Minister's Mansion. Although it is not as famous as the Imperial City Prime Minister's Mansion, I personally feel it is more majestic and shocking than the Prime Minister's Mansion. You must see the Tibetan Soldier Cave. The ancient city defenders were really wise!
✔️【Situ Town】The town is very big and suitable for shopping and eating. You must see the iron flower at night, it is so shocking!
✔️[Dayang Ancient Town] You can choose one from Situ Town. There are also iron flowers in the evening, but there are not as many snacks as in Situ Town.

✔️[Mishan Restaurant] is next to Tiefo Temple. Recommendations: Vegetarian Fried Braised Noodles, Li Ge Chow, etc.
✔️[Nanjie Street Night Market] Eat a variety of snacks, including fried skewers, dipped skewers, buckwheat bowls, tofu skewers, sausages, teppanyaki, etc.

👉This small town is so low-key. It has so many bright spots. The per capita price for four days and three nights is less than 1,000. It doesn’t raise the price just because of its popularity. I love it!

Yuhuang Temple | Black Myth: Wukong Game Filming Location
“The only one in Kyushu, the best in the world” Is the visual impact more shocking than Dunhuang?
🌟 Yuhuang Temple was built in the ninth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (1076). It is a large and influential Taoist temple in ancient Zezhou and a national key cultural relics protection unit.
❤ With the popularity of the domestic 3A game "Black Myth: Wukong", the filming location of the 28 star constellations in the game - Fucheng Yuhuang Temple has also become popular.
👍 28 Star Constellation Sculpture Group: These paintings are clever, realistic, and exquisite, which are extremely rare in the world.
✅ The statues are all built on brick-built altars, about 1.8 meters high, with rich images and realistic shapes. Each star has a small animal attached to it!

Small Town Leisure Travel | Follow Wukong to Zezhou to See China's Own Constellation Gods!
Only know the 12 constellations of Western astrology?
In fact, we Chinese also have our own constellation gods, and there are as many as 28! Black Myth Wukong brought them to everyone's eyes. I heard that Jincheng Zezhou has already ranked first in the domestic niche travel list during this Mid-Autumn Festival. It seems that the National Day holiday will be even more popular~
📍 Zezhou County Yuhuang Temple
There are many large and small Yuhuang Temples with the same name in various places in Shanxi. Don't get it wrong. Remember to recognize Yudiangou Village, Zezhou County, Jincheng.
The Twenty-Eight Constellations Hall in Yuhuang Temple houses 28 constellations, and each constellation statue has a corresponding animal god. All the sculptures have very distinct Yuan Dynasty artistic characteristics. Whether it is the expression or body language, they are realistic and rigorous. Every colored sculpture seems to come alive, and most of them are full of relaxation, completely different from the sculptures commonly seen in other temples.
Speaking of which, the Twenty-Eight Constellations Hall is just one of the side halls of the Jade Emperor Hall, but now it has become the most popular place in Yuhuang Temple, because the Kangshenlong, who is also popular in Black Myth, is also among them.
📍 Dayang Ancient Town
Dayang Ancient Town, with a history of more than 2600 years, can see almost all kinds of national style elements, ancient buildings/clay sculptures/Tang Sancai/Dou Gong/wood carvings/embroidery/tie-dyeing/copperplate printing/cloisonné/iron flower beating, etc.!

The Jade Emperor Temple retains more than 280 colored sculptures from the Jin, Yuan, and Ming dynasties, 120 square meters of murals, 36 records and monuments from the Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The roof of the Jade Emperor Temple also retains some glazed art components from the Jin, Yuan, and Ming dynasties.
The 28 constellations in the Jade Emperor Temple are located in the west corridor of the temple. They are relics of the Yuan Dynasty and were built in the 31st year of the Yuan Dynasty (1294). There are 23 existing statues, which are vivid and reflect the appearance of Taoist statues in the Yuan Dynasty.
The architectural form of the Jade Emperor Temple is simple, showing the unique charm of the Song Dynasty hall architecture and the local characteristics of the ancient architecture of Shangdang. The front and back of the main ridge of the temple roof preserve the 28 glazed statues of the Jin Dynasty and the glazed lions on the ridge, and the glazed unicorns on the back slope. They are the only remaining glazed products in China and have high cultural and artistic value. The physical objects are now in the Jincheng City Museum⋯

With the explosive popularity of "Black Myth: Wukong", we have been exploring Shanxi more deeply and thoroughly. This time, we arrived at the Jade Emperor Temple. The Jade Emperor Temple is located in Fucheng Village, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, so it is also known as Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple. It is the largest and most influential Taoist temple in ancient Zezhou. The current building was rebuilt on the original site in 1076 and was named the Jade Emperor Palace. In recent years, it has been renamed the Jade Emperor Temple Colored Sculpture and Mural Museum~
👣: As soon as you enter the mountain gate of the Jade Emperor Temple, you will feel that it is a very distinctive group of buildings: the mountain gate has a central gate and two side gates to the east and west; in the center is a reverse-facing stage, with pavilions on both sides; the three buildings are connected by side rooms, with varying heights, creating an impressive momentum.
🌈: The main hall of the Jade Emperor Temple is an original structure from the Song Dynasty, with colored sculptures led by the Jade Emperor. However, the most distinctive feature is the twenty-eight constellation statues located in the western corridor of the Jade Emperor Temple, sculpted by Yuan Dynasty sculptor Liu Luan. These statues transform the twenty-eight constellations, originally used for observing celestial phenomena in ancient times, into twenty-eight figures. They are relics from the Yuan Dynasty, but unfortunately, only 23 statues remain today. The colored sculptures are very vivid, representing the achievements of ancient Chinese sculpture art, and are known as "the only ones in the nine provinces, unparalleled in the country." They are also the prototypes of the deities in "Black Myth: Wukong".
💰Tickets: Free admission, but reservations are required in advance on the platform.
🚗Transportation: It is recommended to drive, as parking is convenient. Alternatively, you can take a bus to the "Taiyuan University of Technology Jincheng Campus" stop and walk about 900 meters.

2024 Cultural 'Summer' Journey (Fifteen): Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng (Part Two)
The Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng houses hundreds of complete sculptures that almost encompass all the mythological figures in Taoist culture. Among them, the Yuan Dynasty's twenty-eight constellations in the Hall of the Twenty-Eight Constellations hold the highest artistic value and are acclaimed as 'unique treasures in the country.'
The twenty-eight constellations in Yuhuang Temple are life-sized, and their images are vivid and lifelike.
Ancient laborers sculpted the twenty-eight constellations into 28 characters of different genders, ages, personalities, and statuses to recognize, distinguish, and revere the constellations, making them more relatable and easier to pass down.
The sculptures incorporate Western sculpting techniques, featuring broad shoulders and narrow waists, high noses, and well-proportioned bodies. Even the relaxed eye bags, subtle expressions, and knots on the clothes are carved vividly. Most of the twenty-eight constellations face east, with three facing north and four facing south, holding jade tablets, releasing birds, and training dogs and sheep.
The statues vary in posture: some are frontal, some are side-facing, some are sitting, some are squatting, some are old, some are young, some are male, some are female, some are civil, and some are military. The floating ribbons, the fluttering of draped cloth and corners of garments, and the raised eyebrows and eyes reflect the secularization of Song Dynasty sculptures.
Among the twenty-eight constellations, there are nine female statues, seven of which have high buns and flower crowns. There are nineteen male gods, seven of whom are warriors, two wear Dongpo caps, one wears a wind cap, and the other male gods wear high crowns with flying tassels, paired with wide-sleeved robes and high wooden clogs peeking out from underneath. Regardless of age, all male gods wear robes, highlighting the steadiness of the elderly, the elegance of the middle-aged, and the grace of the young.
If you have the chance to visit Jincheng, I highly recommend visiting the Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng. The glazed components, murals, wood carvings, and especially the colored sculptures here will surely be a feast for the eyes.

Jiuzhou Lone Copy, Unique in the Country|Jincheng Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple Colored Sculpture and Mural Museum
【Jinshan Jinmei·Jincheng·Jiuzhou Lone Copy, Unique in the Country】Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple, an inconspicuous side hall, pulling open the thick curtain, in the dim room, from south to north, densely arranged, are currently the only Yuan Dynasty twenty-eight constellations colored clay sculptures in the country. Compared to the countless Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and even Arhats seen before, these sculptures are truly different. Their expressions are exaggerated and full of dynamism, giving a sense of bursting out. Moreover, this is the materialization of the twenty-eight constellations in astronomy, which has no precedent before, and it really cannot be done without extraordinary imagination. The twenty-eight sculptures are all different, with various postures, and each sculpture also has the image of a small animal, which is very creative! Also, the names of these twenty-eight constellations are really interesting. I did a little homework before coming, each constellation has three characters, and it is said that the names were given by the Tang Dynasty master Yuan Tiangang. The first character is the name of the constellation, the second character is gold, wood, water, fire, earth, sun, and moon, and the third name is twenty-eight animals, combined into these awkward and strange names. All the praises for the twenty-eight constellations colored sculptures are not exaggerated, YYDS!
Jincheng Fucheng Jade Emperor Temple also has many other sculptures to see, such as the Cheng Tang Hall, Jade Emperor Hall, and the Jade Emperor Hall has a Song Dynasty sculpture of the Jade Emperor, which is quite handsome.
Tips: A list of the positions of the twenty-eight constellations colored sculptures:

National key cultural relics protection, Fucheng Yuhuang Temple.
The security guard said:
Don't mention the cultural relics under 600 years old here, it's not interesting...
That proud face.
It's hard to see clearly, let alone take pictures. If it's not surrounded by iron railings, it's locked doors. Even if you go in, it's like tunnel warfare.
Only a few photos were taken with the mobile phone, and these photos were also hard to come by .
The last photo can screenshot the QR code for voice explanation, and there are explanations and pictures of this hall after scanning with the mobile phone.

Tour of Shanxi—Yuhuang Temple in Jincheng
The Yuhuang Temple was established in the ninth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (1076), and it is a Taoist temple in ancient Zezhou with a large scale and wide influence. The temple is divided into three sections, with the first gate, the second gate, the gods' pavilion, and the Yuhuang Hall built on a central axis. The temple has a rare Taoist twenty-eight constellations solitary product colored sculpture in the history of Chinese sculpture.
The existing Yuhuang Hall was built in the Song Dynasty, the Chengtang Hall was built in the Jin Dynasty, the east and west ear halls and the east and west corridors in the backyard were built in the Yuan Dynasty, and the rest are all buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The temple of Yuhuang Temple retains more than 280 colored sculptures from the Jin, Yuan, and Ming Dynasties, 120 square meters of murals, 36 Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing records, and heavy repair steles (square). The roof of the Yuhuang Temple also retains some glazed art components from the Jin, Yuan, and Ming Dynasties.
The twenty-eight constellations statues are located in the west corridor of the temple, which are relics of the Yuan Dynasty, sculpted in the thirty-first year of Yuan Zhiyuan (1294), and there are 23 existing statues, which are inferred to be the works of the great sculptor Liu Lun of the Yuan Dynasty. The characteristics are Greek noses, slender waists, rich and profound facial expressions, representing the representative achievements of ancient Chinese sculpture art, and are typical examples of the combination of realism and romanticism in ancient Chinese sculpture art.
Tour guide:
1. Navigation: Yuhuang Temple, Zezhou County, free parking near the entrance.
2. Tickets: Free
3. Must-see: The most valuable thing in Yuhuang Temple is the twenty-eight constellations statues, followed by the colored sculptures of various dynasties, as well as the twenty-eight constellations glazed statues and the glazed lions on the ridge of the roof of Yuhuang Hall, and the glazed kirin on the back slope beasts (need a long-focus lens to take pictures, lions and kirins need to go out of the gate and go around to the back of Yuhuang Hall to see).
| Twenty-eight Constellations Colored Sculptures.🌟The twenty-eight constellations are twenty-eight star regions divided by ancient Chinese astronomers for observing the movement of the sun, moon, and five stars, composed of seven constellations each from the Azure Dragon of the East, the Vermilion Bird of the South, the White Tiger of the West, and the Black Tortoise of the North. The twenty-eight constellations are the names of constellations in astronomy. In the Tang Dynasty, the Five Elements scholar Yuan Tiangang combined the twenty-eight constellations with twenty-eight animals, and assigned one of the characters of the sun, moon, gold, wood, water, fire, and earth under each constellation name. The sun and the moon are yin and yang, and gold, wood, water, fire, and earth are the five elements, so the names of the twenty-eight constellations are formed by these three combinations.
🌟Treasures of Jincheng Jade Emperor Temple
1⃣Twenty-eight Constellations Colored Sculptures: Works of Yuan Dynasty art master Liu Lun, unique in the country, representing the highest achievement of ancient Chinese sculpture art, located in the Twenty-eight Constellations Hall on the west side of the backyard.
2⃣Glazed Components: The twenty-eight constellations glazed figures and the glazed lions on the ridge and the glazed kirin on the back slope of the Golden Age burnt in front and behind the ridge of the Jade Emperor Hall of the Song Dynasty are the only remaining items of similar glazed products in China; the peacock blue glazed tiles covering the first gate and the glazed god platforms concentrated in the halls of the middle courtyard are also very precious.
3⃣Wood Carvings: The various god statues in the Chengtang Hall of the Jin Dynasty and the three tower-style god niches are all fine wood carvings. The main building of the god niche is more than 5 meters high, with a double-eave Xieshan top, and the two ear buildings are double-eave Xuan Mountain tops. The overall design is exquisite, the shape is rigorous, the layers are rich, and the knife technique is delicate, which can be described as a small wooden art masterpiece.
4⃣Murals: Most of the murals in the temple have been damaged, and the remaining murals are all works of different periods, each with its own characteristics, which is precious. The best preserved is the front mural in the Twelve Yuan Chen Hall.
5⃣Colored Sculptures: The temple houses more than 260 colored sculptures from different periods such as the Song, Jin, and Yuan dynasties, all of which are Taoist gods, from the Jade Emperor, the Universal Star Monarch, to the Three Walls, Four Saints, Nine Yao, Twelve Chen; there are both the Wind and Rain Masters, the Silkworm Raising, Wen Zhen, Wu Dao; there are also Gao Qi, Horse God, Bull King, Six Plagues; it can be said that it gathers people, ghosts, gods, and immortals together, and it can be said to systematically display the Chinese Taoist gods system with artistic methods, with extraordinary viewing value and cultural relic value.
