We choose to visit Jeonju, as a short trip away from hustle bustle of Seoul, and most definitely in love with it! Jeonju might be not first choices of travellers, who usually might opt for Busan, which is quite faraway from the Seoul. Jeonju come along as a perfect choice, which took only 1 hour and 40 minutes journey via KTX from Seoul. Jeonju is famous for its Hanok village, and you might want to experience to stay for a night in hanok (which we did!), which is cheap! We stay at Haneulae Hanok Stay, and only cost us around RM 150/night. Jeonju Hanok Village is easy to explore on foot, as every attraction is within walkable distance, and theres lots of cafe and cute stores, tucked away behind the alleys. We also exploring the Gyangjijeon Shrine which is built to enshrined the potrait of King Taejo of Joseon. If you wish to wear Hanbok, there are lots of stores in Hanok Village that offer cheaper option, compared to in Seoul. Be sure also to try their Jeonju Bibimbap! We try Jeonju Bibimbap at Hankook Jib, which is famous in Jeonju and opt for seafood option, which is delicious! We also did some night strolling and come across the beautiful Namcheongyo Bridge! Jeonju has a special place in my heart. People lives in a slower pace here compare to Seoul and I just love the hanok village. Did a hanok stay here and absolutely love it. The Hanok Village is a must visit! It is wayyyy better than those in Seoul to be honest. My highlight of the trip would be Chokso Cafe in Omokdae. The cafe is under the real hanok. The color of the drinks was so pretty and delicious.
