Check-in! Jewel Changi Airport, Singapore.
It's a rare opportunity to visit Singapore's airport, so how can you miss checking in at Jewel Changi Airport? This nature-themed attraction, featuring a stunning artificial waterfall, is truly breathtaking. Jewel Changi connects the three terminals of Changi Airport, making it a must-visit spot for both transit passengers and tourists. Everyone comes here to take photos and admire the man-made waterfall.
Upon entering Jewel Changi, you'll be greeted by the world's tallest indoor waterfall, the Rain Vortex. This magnificent waterfall cascades from the roof, with the water flowing like a ribbon, seemingly breathing life into this bustling airport. Standing in front of the waterfall, I can feel the mist gently brushing my face.
Make sure to allocate some extra time for this check-in, as it takes quite a bit of walking to reach this spot!

Singapore: Where Nature Meets Urban Wonder and Culinary Delighte
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #singapore
Singapore is a city that perfectly balances cutting-edge modernity with deep-rooted tradition. Jewel Changi Airport, a world-renowned gateway, captivates visitors with its stunning indoor waterfall and verdant gardens, offering an immersive experience beyond the typical airport.
A short trip into the city brings you to Marina Bay Sands, an iconic structure that defines Singapore’s skyline, offering panoramic views from its SkyPark and a wealth of entertainment and luxury. Nearby, Gardens by the Bay mesmerizes with its towering Supertrees and sustainable design, offering a serene escape in the heart of the metropolis.
For a touch of local culture, the city’s vibrant Peranakan heritage is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and art, where the intricate Nyonya style adds a charming touch to Singapore’s cultural tapestry.
Beyond its architectural wonders, Singapore’s food scene is a culinary adventure in itself. From the famous Hainanese Chicken Rice, a simple yet flavorful dish of poached chicken and fragrant rice, to White Bee Hoon, a light and savory rice vermicelli dish packed with seafood goodness, the flavors are diverse and unforgettable. Don’t miss Hainan Curry Rice, where crispy fried pork cutlets, cabbage, and rich curry sauce come together in a comforting meal. For noodle lovers, Mee Pok, a flat egg noodle tossed in a tangy, umami-laden sauce with minced pork and fish balls, is a local favorite that embodies Singapore’s vibrant hawker culture. Each dish tells a story of Singapore’s multicultural influences, making it a true food lover’s paradise.

A Family Art Adventure at Changi International Airport Jewel
Recently, I took my five-year-old daughter to the award-winning Changi International Airport to see the Jewel, designed by the renowned architect Moshe Safdie. I highly recommend it for families with children!
Since my daughter finished kindergarten three years ago, we've been cautious about taking her out due to the pandemic, which limited her exposure to new experiences. With the recent easing of the pandemic, we started planning her first trip that she could remember. Noticing her growing interest in architectural design, we thought visiting another international city like Singapore would be a great choice. The city's similar urban model but distinctly different architectural styles would hopefully spark her interest.
The forest design with abundant greenery, the indoor waterfall known as the Rain Vortex, and the fun hedge maze are all indoor architectural features unimaginable in Hong Kong. With a ticket in hand, my daughter not only experienced the awe of this new landmark and broadened her horizons but also enjoyed various child-friendly attractions at Jewel. The dreamy Foggy Bowls and the transparent glass walkway of the Canopy Bridge were particularly favorites for playful children.
"Reading ten thousand books is not as good as traveling ten thousand miles." The artistic atmosphere of Jewel is something children will absolutely love. Parents with children, like me, should definitely make time to visit before flying back to Hong Kong!
🗓️Itinerary: Check in luggage first, then spend 2-3 hours exploring
💰Cost per person: HKD50-300

Peranakan High Tea Workshop at Jewel Changi
I recently attended the Peranakan High Tea Workshop at ABC Cooking Studio in Jewel Changi Airport in celebration of Singapore National Day, and it was an amazing experience. The workshop lasted about three hours, and I learned so much about Peranakan cuisine, one of Singaporean local favourites.
First, we made Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce. The chicken was marinated in a mix of spices, and we grilled it to perfection. The peanut sauce was creamy and delicious, a perfect match for the satay. Next, we prepared Kuih Dadar, which are pandan crêpes filled with sweet coconut. The bright green color of the crêpes was beautiful, and the filling was rich and flavorful. We also made Angku Kuih, a traditional Peranakan dessert. These are chewy rice cakes with a sweet mung bean filling. Shaping them in the special moulds was a fun and unique experience. One of the highlights was the Salted Egg Scone. This was a twist on the classic scone, with salted egg and curry leaves adding a savory touch. It was a delightful surprise and tasted amazing. Finally, we made Cendol, a refreshing dessert with pandan jelly, red beans, and gula Melaka syrup. It was the perfect way to end the workshop.
The instructor was friendly and helpful, guiding us through each step. The studio was well-equipped, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about Peranakan cuisine.

The World's Most Beautiful Airport | Jewel Changi Airport with the Rain Vortex Waterfall
Flying from Shanghai to Singapore Changi Airport lands you at Terminal 3, so I didn't see the waterfall after exiting the airport.
Actually, the waterfall is located next to Terminal 1, inside the Jewel Changi shopping complex. You can see it as soon as you enter the mall.
So, I deliberately went to the airport 3 hours early for my return trip to Shanghai. After checking in with China Eastern Airlines, I followed the signs (pictures eight and nine) to take the Skytrain to T1. After exiting T1, just cross a small road and you're at the Jewel Changi complex. Due to limited time, I took more photos on the first floor, but I also went to the second and third floors to photograph the waterfall.
After passing through security, I found that there was also a Skytrain to T1, which might be the little train that goes through the waterfall.
I didn't really shop at Jewel Changi, just bought some cheese sticks from Paris Baguette that aren't available in my home country. Most of the brands are also available in Shanghai, but the waterfall is definitely worth a special visit.

Selected Singapore Three-Day Tour Guide
Day One: Exploration and Culinary Journey
Upon arriving at Terminal 4 of Changi Airport, I was touched by the warm immigration service. After swiftly completing the immigration procedures, I headed left to the UOB bank counter to collect my SIM card. Then, I took the shuttle bus to Jewel Changi, feeling a surge of excitement.
The waterfall and mini train at Jewel Changi were astonishing, and the water vortex show on B2 was spectacular. The nearby Song Fa Bak Kut Teh and other delicacies were a feast for my taste buds. A ten-minute walk across the sky bridge took me to Terminal 3. After collecting my membership card on B2, I enjoyed the fun of the slides, especially the giant slide which was thrillingly fast. B2 is also where the subway entrance is located; just follow the signs. Singapore's transportation is so convenient!
Next, I visited Fort Canning Park, where the tree hollow made for an excellent photo spot. Sitting on the tree for pictures, the spacious view was refreshing. Walking down the right pathway also yielded many good shots. A fifteen-minute walk from the south side of the park brought me to the Old Hill Street Police Station. The full view of the building was perfectly captured from across the street, an unexpected delight. Continuing down the road for another fifteen minutes, I arrived near Queen's Square. The skyscrapers basked in the sunset were particularly enchanting, allowing me to appreciate Singapore's unique charm.
Finally, I reached Merlion Park. Despite the crowd, I found an excellent angle to take satisfying photos without the throngs.
For dinner, I chose a food stall near Clarke Quay. The delicious food and live band performance by the river perfectly concluded my first day in Singapore.
For this trip, except for taking the subway to and from the hotel, I walked almost the entire journey. The attractions I visited were all close to each other, allowing me to fully experience the charm of Singapore.

Went to Singapore for a holiday🇸🇬
Itinerary:
Outbound flight with airasia✈️, return trip by aeroline🚍, both ways cost around 150rm
Hotel🏨 was near Cow Car Water (800rmb, a bit old and small but really close to the subway station which made it very convenient to go anywhere quickly, but I don't plan to stay there next time. Saw cockroaches walking around on the roadside for three consecutive days
Tips (purely personal taste and opinion):
1. Bayfront Ave's Dallas Cafe & Bar
The cover photo on the bottom left was taken here, the ambiance is especially nice! Had some really delicious cider, and the fried squid was also very tasty! Visited four bars over these days, another one called live twice was also good, the other two near Chinatown were pretty average (check the opening hours before you go, many shops in Singapore close early)
2. Changi Airport
For photos, no need to wait in crowded places right after entering, you can walk around and see where there are fewer people, many spots are great for photos
Avoid wa-en, the barbecue place, it's expensive and the taste is average (maybe we are just not used to Japanese BBQ), 88 SGD per person, and you have to grill it yourself, the view is great, right under the waterfall, but eating there in the midday sun really makes your head bake, and you have to grill the meat yourself
3. Universal Studios
We entered the park leisurely after lunch around 2 pm, started with the rides, personally, I think the indoor roller coasters of The Mummy and Transformers are the most interesting, the two outdoor roller coasters that are said to be thrilling were quite ordinary, only discomfort, not fun enough, the river rafting was also very fun, worth it!
After the rides, you can go to various spots for photos, by then the lighting is also better, and there won't be too many people taking pictures.
After coming out of Universal Studios, I suggest either taking the Sentosa Express back to vivocity or going to beach station, just don't eat near Universal Studios, we had a Thai meal, it was tasty but expensive and the portions were small.
When about to land in Singapore, I really felt it was worlds apart from Kuala Lumpur, the city planning is so good, the greenery is really beautiful! And after staying in Singapore for a few days: Why is it so expensive, everything is more expensive than in KL, the exchange rate is not good when shopping, hotels are expensive and small, and it's even hotter than KL, I really miss the big house in KL, but overall it's still worth visiting once! It has the charm of a modern metropolis! Already looking forward to the next trip✌️

Singapore Changi Airport is the most beautiful in the world
Singapore Changi Airport🌸Play and Shopping Plaza🌸
🌸Singapore Changi Airport is known as the most beautiful airport in the world because it has Jewel in front of Terminal 1, also known as Jewel Changi Airport, which is a shopping mall that combines dining, entertainment, and shopping. Playing at Changi Airport actually means playing at Jewel: checking in at the famous Rain Vortex, enjoying the Starry Sky Garden, and dining and shopping inside.
🌸The most famous attraction in the mall is the Rain Vortex, which is currently the world's tallest indoor waterfall and is very spectacular. It's a great spot for taking photos. The best observation points are on the 3rd and 4th floors, where you can take unobstructed frontal shots from the atrium or walk to the viewing platform's walkway for pictures.
🌸The Skytrain arrives every few minutes, and on the 1st floor, you can check in for a full view of the waterfall. There are often various themed exhibitions that you can photograph and check in for free. If you want to take a top-down photo of the waterfall, you can go to the 5th floor.
🌸Waterfall opening hours:
Monday to Thursday: 11AM-10PM,
Friday to Sunday and Singapore public holidays: 10AM-10PM
🌸If you have spare time, you can go to the Starry Sky Garden on the 5th floor, which includes a hedge maze, mirror maze, walking net, bouncing net, and sky bridge, among others. These attractions require separate tickets, and there are discounted package deals available online. To enjoy these activities, luggage must be checked in.

Famous NYC Burger Chain in Singapore 🇸🇬
#winhkflight
📍Shake Shack Jewel Changi
78 Airport Boulevard, 02-256 Singapore 819666
Tried this chain burger store from New York City while travelling to Singapore! There was a long queue when we visited, but the line was fast moving so we didn’t have to wait for too long. The store has 2 floors, with ample seatings and tables! Food was prepared very quickly and served warm. Everything was self service, just like any fast food chain restaurant. We ordered shack burger, which is a classic beef burger. The patty was moist and juicy, done to perfection! Besides, they use fresh vegetables like lettuce and onions. Chicken burger was decent too! Vanilla milkshake was a bit too sweet to my likings, would prefer for it to be less sweet instead. Anyway, worth a try while in Jewel Changi!
I wish to travel to Hong Kong for their food!

Although Singapore 🇸🇬 is small in size, there are many places worth checking in.
If you plan to travel to Singapore during the Spring Festival ✈️
Then this photo 📸 check-in guide must be collected‼️
·
Here are the 9️⃣ photo spots I summarized in Singapore.
They are all very out of the picture, I hope it will be a reference for those who have not checked in.
·
Changi Airport
I guess many people know this, Changi Waterfall photo 🖼️, it is recommended to go to the high floor, change angles and positions, you will definitely be able to take a satisfactory travel blockbuster.
·
Gardens by the Bay
It is a new landmark in Singapore and a place where many internet celebrities check in. The towering sunny trees 🌲, the huge indoor waterfall, coupled with the light show at night, is like entering the Pandora planet.
·
Little India
The most famous here is the Rainbow House, the colorful wall spray, the colorful little elephant sculpture 🗿, it's easy to take a good shot just by sweeping the street.
·
Praise Square
I guess many people know this too, especially at dusk, it's super atmospheric, not far away is the Raffles Hotel, after taking a photo, you can also have a drink at the Long bar🍧.
·
Old Xi Street Police Station
It is located near Fok Ning Park, and the two places can be arranged together. The rainbow-like building is actually a police station, and the colorful windows on the outside are really out of the picture.
·
National Art Museum
I saw it on TV when I was a child, and now I finally see it. The building itself is very artistic, and the best position 📷 is on the bridge connecting the two sides.
·
Merlion
How can you not go to the Merlion when you come to Singapore, if you take a photo, the light will be darker at night, everyone must remember to turn on the flash 💥, fill light and so on.
·
Chinatown
A place full of Chinese elements, but at the same time multicultural coexistence, the millennium style of the red temple ✨ and the retro style of the fireworks street are super suitable for taking pictures.
·
Rochor Road
If you are looking for a place with few people and beautiful scenery, then I recommend you to go to Rochor Road, a typical Nanyang style small street, very suitable for a person to walk around, very petty bourgeoisie and very out of the picture.

Okay, sharing is over! If there are better positions 📸, welcome to tell me in the comment area!

Jewel Changi Airport 🇸🇬 ✈️
#singapore
The jewel is a green oasis, seamlessly blending nature and travel. Lush surroundings, with a large waterfall, create a calm atmosphere. In addition to its role as an airport, it looks like a luxurious combination of a hotel, a shopping mall, and a dining sanctuary. Exclusive branded stores and restaurants add a touch of style, making the airport experience truly exceptional.
A truly international experience as a shopping and food paradise. The place is huge and has many shopping and food outlets. Spend hours here and enjoy the atmosphere and the environment. I like the place especially the whirlpool of rain. Really amazing I had relaxing drinks in one of the top-level cafes and time just passed. The price is also reasonable and it is a great and fun way to spend time with the family
I had a great experience at this airport! It’s not just a nice airport, but arguably the most convenient in the world. You have passed the migration in less than 6 hours using effective automatic portals (available for selected countries). Booking a takeover to explore the main attractions was a smooth process, and the return to the airport was equally convenient through the automatic gate. The airport offers a wide range of attractions and places to explore, making it the best choice for a hassle-free travel experience.
A really amazing airport! We stayed at the airport for only 4-5 hours walking around and looking at the many stores they have! The whirlpool was so awesome! Each floor had access to the forest and the whirlpool so we could have many different views. We can also take the final train from Station 2 to 3 – allowing us to pass through the forest and see the whirlpool in a closer light.
So worth a visit! Have fun! :)
