Strongly recommended: Make sure to take your child to Jiabang Rice Terraces in October
This autumn, take your child to Guizhou to admire the golden rice terraces. The terraces here turn yellow earlier than those at Longji Rice Terraces and are more pristine. During the harvest season, you can also participate in the local Miao people's 'New Rice Festival.' Here, you can not only see the golden rice ears rolling in the wind but also catch rice flower fish and taste fragrant glutinous rice. At night, you can see the starry sky that is hard to see in the city. Last year, I spent four days here with my child and deeply experienced the tranquility like a paradise.
🌟 The best time to view the golden terraces is from early September to early October.
💯 Four-day itinerary guide:
Day 1 - 2: Congjiang - Zhaoxing Dong Village - Jiabang Rice Terraces;
Day 3 - 4: Xiayao Black-clothed Zhuang Village - Jiabang - Congjiang.
🤏 Must-do activities with your child:
✔ Hike 6km in the golden terraces, chasing the sunrise and sea of clouds.
✔ Experience the hospitality of blocking the door wine, enjoy a long table banquet, and try the 'mountain flowing water' drinking method.
✔ Learn Guizhou batik, exploring intangible cultural heritage traditional crafts.
🏨 Accommodation recommendations:
Stay one night in a boutique homestay in Zhaoxing Dong Village to enjoy the lights of thousands of homes. Stay two consecutive nights at Jiabang Rice Terraces, where you can see the terraces, sunrise, and sea of clouds from your window.
😋 Food recommendations:
✔ Taste a hundred flavors of sour soup in Dongxiang Miao Village. There are long table banquets, sour soup fish, beef noodles, free-range chicken soup, etc.
✔ In Xiayao Black-clothed Zhuang Village, you can taste the same delicacies as in 'A Bite of China,' such as roasted small fragrant pig, Zhuang Village's special Xiayao stewed wine, roasted fragrant pig, rice flower fish, yellow glutinous rice, etc.
Jiabang Rice Terraces, a great place to travel in Guizhou. Qiandongnan has a unique charm, whether you travel in September or October.

One of the three most beautiful terraced fields in China.
**Travel guide to the three most beautiful terraced fields in China**
1. Yuanyang Terraced Fields, Yunnan
The Yuanyang Terraced Fields in Yunnan have a long history and picturesque scenery. The terraced fields are spectacularly laid out, with a dynamic water system, forming a natural ink-and-wash painting. The climate here is pleasant, with spring-like weather all year round, making it a paradise for photography enthusiasts.
2. Longji Terraced Fields, Guilin, Guangxi
The Longji Terraced Fields in Guilin, Guangxi, are like mirrors embedded in the mountains. In spring, the fields are lush and green, while in autumn, the rice is golden. Every season offers breathtaking views.
3. Jiabang Terraced Fields, Qiandongnan, Guizhou
The Jiabang Terraced Fields in Qiandongnan, Guizhou, are breathtakingly beautiful. Every September, the rice heads droop, and the golden rice reflects the sunlight, creating a scene of harvest. This is the best time to visit, as you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the terraced fields.
**Travel guide**
To get to the Jiabang Terraced Fields, you can take a high-speed train to Congjiang Station or Rongjiang Station. If you depart from Congjiang Station, you can visit Zhaoxing Dong Village along the way. If you choose Rongjiang Station, you can also visit Dali Dong Village and Cunchao. However, due to the winding mountain roads, the journey takes about 2 hours, so please be patient.
**Ticket information**
Tickets to the Jiabang Terraced Fields cost 80 yuan, shuttle buses cost 40 yuan, and insurance costs 10 yuan. Notably, there are free tickets for Guangdong residents. With a Shenzhen ID card, you can get free tickets on the spot, but you need to pay for the shuttle bus and insurance yourself.
**Accommodation guide**
For accommodation, it is recommended to choose homestays near the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 5 viewing platforms, as these places offer the most beautiful scenery. If you want to see the sunrise easily, you can consider staying near the No. 6 viewing platform, which is higher and offers a wider view.
While visiting the Jiabang Terraced Fields, be sure to try the local farm dishes and rice products to experience the local cuisine. At the same time, pay attention to environmental protection and respect local customs, making your trip more enjoyable and meaningful.

Jibang Terrace
Stunning area and well worth the 3 hour (ish) bus ride from Congjiang Railway Station. There are frequent busses leaving from there to downtown where you have to change to another bus taking you directly to the Jibang Terrace. plenty of hotels and a few shops to get basic things. Sunrise is well worth the wake up!

What a surprise... This is my favorite terraced field in Guizhou.
Deep in the mountains of Guizhou, there is a terraced field known as the most beautiful terraced field in China - Jiabang Terraced Field. It is not only an important representative of the rice culture in southern China, but also a paradise on earth that is worth visiting. Every year, when spring turns to summer, the first ray of sunshine shines on this ancient and vibrant land, and the layers of shimmering paddy fields become the most beautiful poem of nature.
Attraction Introduction
Jiabang Terraced Field is located in Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, with a total area of about 10,000 mu. The terraced fields are built along the mountains, with different shapes, straight or curved, like green steps on the earth. With the change of seasons, from green to golden, every moment presents a different style. Especially in the autumn harvest season, the whole valley is dyed into a golden ocean, which is very beautiful.
Itinerary Suggestions
Day 1: After arriving in Guiyang, take a long-distance bus to Congjiang County (about 6 hours' drive), and take a rest.
Day 2: Depart for Jiabang Township in the morning and enjoy the spectacular natural scenery along the way; arrive at the destination in the afternoon and start exploring this magical place.
Day 3: Visit Jiabang Terraced Field Scenic Area all day, and it is recommended to hike through it to experience the tranquility and beauty up close.
Day 4: Return to Congjiang County. If time permits, you can visit other ethnic minority villages nearby to experience the unique ethnic culture.
Food Recommendations
How can you miss the authentic Miao cuisine when you come to Jiabang? Freshly picked wild vegetables paired with homemade rice wine, each dish is an ultimate temptation to the taste buds. It is especially recommended to try sour soup fish and bacon, which are definitely the most delicious memories of this trip.
Transportation Guide
The most convenient way is to take a bus from Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport to Congjiang (the ticket price is about CNY 100/person). After arriving in Congjiang, you can choose to rent a car or charter a car to Jiabang Township (about 50 kilometers away). It should be noted that due to the rugged mountain roads, please make sure that the vehicle is in good condition and plan the route in advance.
Jiabang Terraced Field is not just a tourist attraction, but a cultural heritage that carries the wisdom of the Miao people for thousands of years. Here, you can slow down and let your heart be truly released. Whether you are a photography enthusiast or a friend seeking spiritual comfort, you can find your own peace and beauty here.

Jiabang Rice Terraces in Southeast Guizhou | Nature's Masterpiece in Guizhou.
Chinese people say: Live off the mountain if you're near one, live off the sea if you're by the coast. This is not only a way of adapting to local conditions but also a Chinese way of survival in harmony with nature.
From ancient times to the present, this agricultural nation has carefully utilized every inch of land beneath their feet. The activities of obtaining food and the extraordinary wisdom behind it are everywhere.
In Congjiang County, Guizhou Province, a mountainous area inhabited by Dong, Miao, and Zhuang ethnic groups, people have traditionally relied on glutinous rice as their staple food. They grow nearly a hundred varieties of primitive glutinous rice in the high mountain terraces. Far from the hustle and bustle of modern civilization, scattered villages are like isolated islands hidden deep in the mountains!

The 7 Best Golden Fields to See in September-October, Really Beautiful
Dali Xizhou, Yunnan
At the foot of Cangshan Mountain, the fields around Xizhou gradually turn from green to yellow, forming picturesque scenes with the distant mountains. Against the backdrop of the simple and elegant Bai architecture, it looks even more free and leisurely. The rice fields turn yellow in September and are gradually harvested from late September to late October.
Yuanyang Hani Terraces, Yunnan
For over 1300 years, the Hani people have used their wisdom to paint this magnificent pastoral landscape. Between the high mountains and deep valleys not far from the old county town at the mountain top, there are several major terrace landscapes such as Laohuzui, Bada, Duoyishu, and Aichunlan.
The Laohuzui terraces have a huge drop, like a sculpture of the earth seen from the sky, often accompanied by a sea of clouds. The Duoyishu terraces are the most spectacular, piecing together a patterned painting between the fields. On the mountain, there are traditional villages like Azheke that retain the original mushroom houses. Spending three to five days in Yuanyang is really stress-relieving.
Jiabang Terraces, Congjiang, Guizhou
The Jiabang terraces turn yellow earlier, with the best viewing period from early September to mid-late September. The Dongpeng terraces allow you to experience the fragrance of rice up close, and the sunrise is also fantastic. The Dangga terraces have the most levels in Jiabang, layering down to the bottom of the valley. The Sanhu Renjia terraces are famous for the farmhouses in the terraces, with only three households nestled among the terraces, like a paradise.
Southern Anhui
In the autumn of Jiangnan, it must be the ancient villages of Huizhou. Even without entering the scenic spots, there is endless rural autumn scenery to see. In the golden rice fields, a few trees with red leaves occasionally dot the landscape. At the end of the fields are the white walls, gray tiles, and horse-head walls of Huizhou architecture. The rice fields stretch from Hongcun Qishu Lake to Tachuan, and the harvest time is relatively late, starting around mid-November.
Yunhe Terraces, Lishui, Zhejiang
The Yunhe terraces are one of the earliest developed terrace scenic spots in China, with a long viewing period for the rice fields, lasting until early November. Walking along the mountain trails, bamboo seas, streams, and waterfalls are all along the way. The Nine Curves Yunhuan viewing platform offers a circular view of the terraces, where you can see the stunning sea of clouds and sunrise. The Qixingdun faces the terraces, enjoying the feeling of being in the clouds. The Kenggen Shizhai retains the complete appearance of ancient residential buildings, full of life.
Wuyuan, Jiangxi
In the golden autumn of September, the rice fields at the foot of Huangling Mountain in Wuyuan mature one after another, with golden rice ears stretching as far as the eye can see. The healing sightseeing train travels through the vast golden rice fields in Yantian. From Zheyuan Fengshan Village (Longtian Tower) all the way to Shibao Village and Hongguan Village, there are rice fields everywhere. The autumn drying and red maple leaves will be in November, but the best field scenery is in September.
Longji Terraces, Guilin, Guangxi
If you set off in September, you can see the "green + yellow" two-color terraces at once, and in October, they are all golden. The distant mountains are faint and unchanging, the terraces are layered, and the rice with ears is perfect for photography. Climb to the high viewing platform to overlook "Nine Dragons and Five Tigers" and "Seven Stars Accompanying the Moon". Stay in a viewing homestay, and you can see thousands of acres of terraces, sunrises, sunsets, starry skies, and seas of clouds right outside your window.

Miyazaki's summer is really going to rush
The autumn harvest season is even more spectacular, with fields of golden rice paddies.
🚗Transportation (High-Speed Rail Edition): Depart from various places and arrive at Congjiang High-Speed Rail Station. Walk straight for 200 meters from the station to the bus station to buy a bus ticket to Jiabang Terraces (adult ticket price is 36, can be purchased online with a 4 yuan service fee). There are two buses at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, the journey takes about two and a half hours, covering more than 100 kilometers, mostly steep mountain roads. Family members who get carsick should choose carefully.
The operating hours of the sightseeing bus within the scenic area are from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM (convenient for watching the sunrise and stars).
💰Ticket Information: Ticket price is 40, sightseeing bus is 40, insurance is 10. The corresponding free ticket policy in Guizhou also applies here (Guangdong Province, medical workers, etc. are exempt from tickets).
🏢Accommodation: It seems to be a hotel operated by the scenic area called 'Heshu', located next to the visitor service center. The standard room booked through a third-party platform includes two tickets and ten sightseeing bus tickets. They are all independent wooden cabins, quite characteristic, but the room gets a bit hot at noon due to the sun. However, the service staff were really great, they guided us to the room and the young lady kept helping with the luggage!
🍔Food: Due to recent road construction, there will be time-based traffic control. We arrived late on the first day and after waiting, it was already seven o'clock when we got to the mountain. After taking some photos and enjoying the scenery, we found out that dinner at the service center was already over, so we went to the nearby No. 3 viewing platform and had three dishes and three bowls of rice for more than 90 yuan, which is the normal price for the scenic area, and the taste was quite good! There is a coffee shop near the No. 5 viewing platform, and there should be more places to eat near the village at the No. 6 viewing platform.
🌲Scenery: The sunrise is so beautiful (the No. 3 and No. 6 viewing platforms are higher on the mountain top, suitable for watching the sunrise). Here, you can see vast expanses of green and endless terraces, and the cool breeze in the evening is simply comfortable and pleasant.

👀 Wurui Terraces are the largest continuous terraces in Jiabang Terraces. The layered terraces are particularly spectacular. You can walk along the road by the terraces all the way to Jiacha Village.
👀 Luosi Terraces are named because they resemble screws. Although small and a bit remote, they are very distinctive. Here, you may sometimes see the beautiful Milky Way. Although it may be difficult to walk to the bottom of the valley, and you might encounter some green bamboo snakes on the way, the scenery there is definitely worth exploring.

🌹Jiabang Terraced Fields are among the finest terraced fields in China, collectively referring to a whole area of terraced fields in Moon Mountain. They are specifically divided into several terraced fields: Dongpeng, Jiaye, Liangga, Jiache, Luosi, Baibie, and Baidang, distributed along an approximately 8-kilometer road in the mountains.
The rice fields of Jiabang are terraced along the mountains, changing with the terrain and adapting to local conditions. The altitude, slope, and size of the hillside determine the size and shape of the terraced fields, resembling belts, screws, moons, or eyeshadow palettes.
🐻Activities
🚗Free parking at the tourist center parking lot. Tickets at the tourist center are free for those over 60 years old. During the off-season from November to March, you can drive up yourself, but now you can only take a sightseeing bus for 100 yuan per person, including the bus fare.
There are 6 viewing platforms at the site. The scenic shuttle bus operates like a city bus, allowing you to get on and off at any of the viewing platforms as you wish.
🏠🍴Food & Accommodation
The majority of accommodations are located near the 5th terraced field, at the topmost Jiache Village.
1. You can prepare some snacks and fruits to take up with you. It's not convenient to buy things up there.
2. It's colder on the mountain, so bring a coat.
3. There's a coffee shop with freshly ground coffee at the 5th viewing platform.
Jiabang Terraced Fields have absorbed the essence of terraced fields from all over the world. They are more beautiful than the Yuanyang Terraced Fields in Yunnan and more spectacular than the Longsheng Terraced Fields in Guangxi, with immense charm. Especially the mountain villages and small hamlets nestled among the terraced fields, which reflect the environment and blend with nature, embody the harmonious beauty between humans and nature, giving a sense of 'a heavenly mirror on earth, a paradise out of this world.'

3️⃣Most people visit Zhaoxing Dong Village or Rongjiang Village Super Stadium, both of which are similar distances from Jiabang Rice Terraces. You can take a direct bus to Zhaoxing Dong Village at Congjiang Station, and it seems there is also a direct bus to the Village Super Stadium, but it is subject to actual conditions

In Jiabang, enjoy the story of the countryside and the clouds and mountains
Whether you can see a good view from the terraces depends entirely on luck, because places with large-scale terraces (paddy fields) are generally located in the mountains of the south, where the air is humid, there is a lot of rain, and the mist is pervasive, often with thick fog all day long. I have been to the Longji Terraces in Guilin, the Yunhe Terraces in Zhejiang, and the Nanjianyan Terraces before, and each time it was misty. This time, when I went to the Jiabang Terraces, it was rare for the fog to dissipate at noon, allowing for a clear view, and I finally had what I would call a successful terrace trip.
Time arrangement: Navigate to the Jiabang Terrace Scenic Area, it is best to go up the mountain the day before, stay overnight in the terrace scenic area, and then slowly tour the next day depending on the weather. Be careful driving on the mountain roads as they are not very good.
Accommodation recommendation: It is recommended to stay near Viewing Platform No. 6, which is the last viewing platform in the scenic area and also the highest point. From No. 6 to No. 1, you can finish touring and reach the entrance and exit of the scenic area without having to backtrack. I stayed at Lianghua Homestay, which is just above Viewing Platform No. 6, and you can enjoy the view from the hotel.
Tips: The terraces are generally located in the valley, and because they are paddy fields, there is a lot of moisture, and there is often thick fog in the morning. Don't be in a hurry, wait until noon or the afternoon when the fog usually disperses, that's the best time for photography.

The romance that belongs exclusively to Guizhou
The Golden Week of Jiabang Terraced Fields is coming. As the hospitable people of Guizhou, we have traveled all over the province's 5A, avoiding the crowd
I recommend a hidden gem for travel. It took me nearly 4 hours to drive from Guiyang. Everything is good, just don't go in winter. Definitely! Definitely! Definitely! Don't go in winter
If you come to Guizhou, I recommend this. Jiabang Terraced Fields
Located in the northeast of Jiabang Township in the belly of Moon Mountain in the western part of Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, 80 kilometers away from the county seat, it is one of the best terraced fields in China. The terraced fields are scattered with the unique stilted buildings of the Miao region. It is a masterpiece left by the Miao people from generation to generation. The Miao people are a "rice and fish soup" nation.
Jiabang Terraced Fields have few tourists and simple folk customs. From April to October every year, it is the most beautiful season here!
is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, one of the three major terraced landscapes in our country, located in the belly of Moon Mountain. The scale of Jiabang Terraced Fields is huge, with a total area of nearly 10,000 mu, stretching for 25 kilometers. The terraces vary in size and shape, with thousands of postures. In the early autumn, after the rain in Jiabang Terraced Fields in Congjiang County, the clouds and mist are lingering, the golden rice fields and the scattered stilted buildings are looming in the clouds and mist, as if they are covered with a layer of cloud clothes, which is beautiful and constitutes a beautiful autumn day picture

There is a saying in Guizhou that "three miles are flat", the special environment is adapted to local conditions, and the fields here are all open to the mountains. The height of the altitude and the size of the hillside create terraces of different shapes. On the way from the city of Cangjiang to the list, you can see a small town surrounded by mountains and terraces.
How happy the villagers living in this small village are, away from the hustle and bustle of modern civilization, scattered villages like islands, deep in the depths of the mountains. In the scenery of the list, it is necessary to slowly and slowly look at it. It is really beautiful. The mountains here are covered by terraces. Green is the theme that will never change here. Some magnificent landscapes are hard to tell with words. When you see them, there are too many emotions. The size of the terraces in
plus is incredible, the total area is close to 10,000 mu, and the continuous shutter is 25 kilometers. The shutter can't stop here. The scenery is often in a moment, from a close look, it is If you dont move, the terraced fields stand here for a hundred years. From a long-term perspective, the clouds are changing rapidly, and the beauty seems to be an illusion. The top of the list is the "ladder". The terraces climb up from the Jiahe Valley around the mountain beams. Like a "ladder" connecting the heavens and the earth, the height difference between the ladders is nearly two or three hundred meters. The size and shape of each part of the terraces that are hundreds of meters long are completely different. Peer partners like to call the scenery here "a long stretch of the wedding."
Hehe_Hexiaoxi.
There are not many tourists visiting in the terraced fields hidden in the mountains. The terraces of this season are yellow and green in color. If the scattered villages are hidden in the middle of the landscape, the harvested rice can be seen everywhere, and the red peppers that are essential for Guizhou cooking, even the garden dogs are so comfortable. .
Lunch was eaten by the village head in the village. The first time the local people ate the rice paddy fish on their own fire, sitting on a small bench and eating steaming ducks. Hot Pot. Pure Miao Zhai taste, thick home rice, for the first time has a local feeling.
