This trip to Deqing was unexpectedly healed by this magical hotel! Mogan Mountain Jiayi Yipuo Jinling Hotel is truly a hidden paradise in the forest, featuring modern minimalist design + stunning mountain views, every snapshot looks like a masterpiece 💫
🌿 Secluded Wonderland: A green secret at the foot of the mountain
• Located hidden in a mountain hollow in Nanlu Village, the drive is through a bamboo tunnel, with air full of negative ions! It’s a 15-minute drive to Mogan Mountain Scenic Area, super convenient. Renting a car is recommended (there are staff directing parking at the entrance)
• Design lovers rejoice: rooms have 270° floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountains, with morning mist drifting by like an ink painting. The balcony is planted with Mogan Mountain’s unique azaleas, and the scent is a light woody fragrance
🏊♀️ Must-visit highlight: Cloud Pool
The infinity pool on the mountain top is absolutely amazing! Water temperature is a constant 28°C, and lying by the pool you can overlook the entire valley. At dusk, the sunset reflects on the water. Remember to wear bright-colored swimwear for better photos~ Secret tip: the palm tree hanging chairs by the pool are a hidden photo spot 🌴
🛏️ Stay experience: perfection in details
• Rooms are equipped with smart toilets and Dyson hairdryers, bath products are the same as used by the British royal family. Bathing with bamboo forest views outside the window is pure enjoyment
• Family-friendly: the kids’ playground has a Lego wall and a picture book area. Outdoors, you can take kids to identify plants (the hotel has mint and rosemary planting areas)
🍽️ Mountain living on the palate
Breakfast recommendation: freshly made preserved vegetable pancakes and mountain spring soy milk. For dinner, try the local dried bamboo shoots stewed with native chicken. Around 100 RMB per person, great value! Highly recommend dining on the outdoor terrace, where there’s a bonfire party at night 🔥
📸 Photo guide
1. Sunrise silhouette on the room balcony (6:00-7:00 AM)
2. Poolside lounge chair with straw hat + scarf (softest light at 4 PM)
3. Overhead shot of the lobby spiral staircase (wear a long dress and spin for the shot)
4. Night turndown service’s goodnight dessert setup (use warm lighting)
⚠️ Practical tips:
• Big temperature difference in the mountains, remember to bring a light jacket and mosquito repellent
• During peak season, book a balcony view room at least 1 month in advance
• Nearby activities: Bihu Longtan hiking (30-minute drive), Yucun cultural market for bamboo crafts
A hotel even Marilyn Monroe would want to stay longer at. Next time, I want to try their bamboo forest SPA~
