Summer seaside train, the dreamy journey of the Izu Ocean View Train
✨Dear travelers, do you want to experience a seaside train like in a Hayao Miyazaki animation? Then join me on the Izu Ocean View Train, traveling along the Shizuoka coastline for a spontaneous summer romantic trip! 🚀🛤️
🌟**Train Highlights**:
The Izu Ocean View Train, also known as リゾート21 (Resort 21), is one of Japan's most famous scenic trains. Its main feature is the asymmetrical seating design: the side facing the sea has panoramic ocean view seats, making you feel as if you are embraced by the sea. 🌊👀
🎨**Car Design**:
The train has two types of cars: Kinmedai and Black Ship. The Kinmedai train is beautifully decorated both inside and out, especially the red and blue cars, which are perfect spots for photos. 📸🔥
🗺️**Route Planning**:
Starting from Atami, heading south, passing through places like Jogasaki Coast, Izu Kogen, and Katase-Shirata, and finally arriving at Shimoda Station. The scenery along the way is picturesque, with the sea and sky blending into one, and each stop has different surprises waiting for you. 🌅🏞️
⏰**Time Arrangement**:
Ocean view seats do not require reservations and are not charged extra, first come first served! It is recommended to start early to avoid peak times, so you have more chances to grab a good window seat. ⏰🏃♂️
🏨**Accommodation Recommendations**:
If you want to experience a long journey, there are good hotel options in places like Ito and Izu Kogen along the way. 🏨🔍
Remember to bring your camera to capture the beautiful moments along the way. The Izu Ocean View Train is waiting for you to experience an unforgettable seaside train journey! 📷🌟

Jogasaki Coast
#2024wish
This coastline is easy to access view bus route from Ito station. There is a trail along the coast which is easy to walk and has many great sites. You can see the beautiful coast, the lighthouse, and walk across a suspension bridge all within a couple of hours. Beautiful scenery for a walk, good distance and access from Tokyo and meanwhile you can feel away from its crowd.
In 2024, I want to visit this place again.
Anything travels
#Shizuoka
Been to Shizuoka coast in such a cloudy and rainy day. But the beach was still so beautiful. Not so many people so I felt like I still could enjoy the silence of nature

Beautiful experience in Izu peninsula Japan
I find peace in this place
There are so many beaches and islands in Izu
You can do fishing, cycling, boating, swimming, sea diving and other activities
Hotels are very expensive and full reserved specially in summer. So I recommend lodge because there are so many lodges in this place. And don’t forget to enjoy sea food. #izu #visitjapan
Rugged coastline formed by volcanic eruption.
The seawater is especially blue, and the waves are pounding the rocks with a loud sound.
On one side is a 23-meter "Gate Shoulder Suspension Bridge", on the other side is endless seawater.
The stunning scenery reveals coldness and excitement.
At dusk, the glow of the setting sun is enchanting and captivating.
Orange Beach, which is very close to Ito Station.
The seawater is relatively clean.
But the beach is quite dirty.
Maybe the season for swimming in the sea will be better.

It is completely beyond the expected place, no wonder some people say that they have not been to the coast of the city, even if they have not passed the Izu.
get off the suspension bridge, there is a rocky cliff, a second of time I feel that I am going to the 12 disciples of the Great Ocean Road in Australia~ Unfortunately, the weather in the afternoon is a bit poor, the cloudy thick clouds seriously affect the blue of the ocean under the cliff color. Super admire some young people in their hands and quickly climbed to the edge of the cliff to take pictures.
I also took the courage to climb out and take pictures on the big stone outside. Because of the wind, there is a feeling that it will fall, and the timid person is safe.
The National Park with a good view of Japan is free to enter. The scenery of the coast of Kinosaki is very strong. You can see the sunset on the viewing platform on the side of the suspension bridge. If you come here, you can take the Izu Kyuko Line Kinosaki Coast Station. come.
