This one's amongst the most iconic of places i visited in New York. It's worth all the hype and long lines. It's got its classic food to back up it's reputation. The restaurant decor is very cool, retro with some pop culture references, including the table from when Harry Met Sally. I like the idea of pastrami sandwiches in general. It can be quite addictive! So naturally that's what the two of us ordered. The pastrami sandwich, which was more than enough for two people then there were the pickles and meat, all very nice and flavorful. The matzo bowl was also delicious. You have to be prepared for the crowd inside as well. But that's the real NY vibe you get here. Well, simply because it's new york's best deli serving one of the best pastrami sandwiches at Katz's. Do not expect a posh setting In this deli, everything is simple but their sandwiches are heavenly and it's worth every calories. Expect hand carved pastrami stuffed in large portions in between 2 soft bread, juicy and yummy, warm and fresh. The sandwich also comes with pickles and soup. It's a simple meal but one that doesn't disappoint.

If you are in the Lower Eastside of New York, you need to go to Katz Deli and get their pastrami sandwich. Yes, it's packed and there are a lot of tourists, but it's not a tourist trap. Obviously, their pastrami on rye sandwich, fries, and pickles are famous, but their grilled hotdogs are very good-much better than the dirty water hotdogs you get throughout the city.
