Dongguan Keyuan
👉 In the scorching heat of midsummer in Lingnan, typhoons bring rain and also coolness. 👍 It is reported that Dongguan Keyuan is one of the four major gardens in Lingnan. I was fortunate to visit Keyuan in the rain, and I saw a delicate small garden lying quietly beside a clear lake. As the saying goes, 'The small garden has infinite scenery, and there is another world in the pot.' 🌷 Keyuan is known for its 'small and exquisite, ingeniously designed' style, artistically blending residences, courtyards, and study rooms together. 🌹 The three-story lookout tower in the garden is different from ordinary gardens, with a simple and elegant roof. Walking through the narrow paths in the garden, you can see mountains, water, flowers, and more scenery.
🏛 The four major gardens in Lingnan: Shunde Qinghui Garden, Foshan Liang Garden, Panyu Yuyin Mountain House, Dongguan Keyuan.
🚗 Transportation: Transfer to bus No. 20 at Dongcheng South Station on the Guanghui Intercity Line or transfer to bus No. 75 at Xintang Station on Guangzhou Metro Line 13.

1. Guanyin Mountain Scenic Area
Guanyin Mountain in Dongguan boasts the city's intact original secondary forest and is known as 'a blessed place for spiritual beauty and forest health preservation'. Located at the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it is within the one-hour economic circle of core cities such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Guangzhou. It is an AAAA-rated tourist scenic area that combines a forest oxygen bar, cultural experiences, and marriage wishes.
2. Keyuan Garden
Keyuan Garden is one of the four famous gardens in Guangdong and a masterpiece of Lingnan garden art. It was praised by predecessors as 'a land of human fortune enviable, a garden boasting of a celestial palace'. It mainly consists of the Keyuan ancient architectural area and the new Keyuan Museum. The ancient architectural area of Keyuan combines many classic elements of Lingnan gardens, with corridors surrounding, and many pavilions and towers. The buildings are all made of water-milled blue bricks. The garden has one building, six pavilions, five kiosks, six platforms, five pools, three bridges, nineteen halls, and fifteen rooms, many of which are named with the character 'Ke', such as Ke Building, Ke Xuan, Ke Tang, Ke Zhou...
3. Yuehui Garden
Yuehui Garden is a classical private garden that recreates the charm of ancient Lingnan architecture and represents Lingnan gardens. The eastern and western scenic areas are centered around a two-kilometer-long Dongjiang river channel, with quaint and natural architectural clusters on both sides, including Tailai Building, Nanyun Pavilion, Tianxiang Yunwai, Yuehui Tea House, etc.; the north and south scenic areas span the middle part of the river channel, in sequence are the East Main Gate, Baifu Hui Chun, and Fan Building. | The beauty of Chinese ancient architecture.
Hello everyone🍠! Today I am going to recommend a good place to go in Dongguan - Keyuan💕.
Keyuan is one of the four major gardens in Lingnan🎉, located in Wanjiang, Dongguan city, with convenient transportation🚇. The architecture here is layered, very suitable for shooting ancient style portraits or Hanfu portraits👘! And the entire Keyuan area is not large, very suitable for short trips within Dongguan city🚗!
The suggested play time is 2 hours⏰!
Keyuan is divided into the North District Museum (free) and the ancient architectural area (8 yuan/person)🎫.
The North District is mainly modern garden architecture, with museums, lakes, stone sculpture gardens, lotus ponds and other Chinese gardens🍃!
The ancient architectural area is a well-preserved ancient garden. The garden is not large but very layered. You can also overlook the entire Keyuan from the high building🏯!
It is suggested that friends in Dongguan can come and visit once, after all, the 8 yuan ticket is not even enough for a cup of milk tea!💰

One of the four famous gardens in Lingnan - Ke Garden
Ke Garden in Dongguan, located at No. 32 Keyuan Road, Guancheng, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, was established in the 30th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1850), covering an area of 2200 square meters. It is a representative of Lingnan Garden, and it is called the "Four Gardens of Lingnan" in the Qing Dynasty together with Qinghui Garden, Yuyin Mountain House, and Liang Garden.

The pavilions are made of water-milled green bricks, with red brick steps, decorated with flower stands, flower paths, rockeries, and pools, connected by the Huanbi Corridor, forming a whole. The outline is beautiful and the idea is clever. It is one of the well-preserved four famous gardens in Lingnan and represents Lingnan Garden.
In the buildings of Ke Garden, the place names with clear records in ancient books and the current location are: Ke Tang, Ke Lou, Ke Xuan, Ke Ting, Yao Shan Ge, Wen Hua Xiao Yuan, Bo Xi Yu Yin, Zi Shu Tai, Bo Hong Xiao Xie, Hua Zhi Jing, Huan Bi Lang, Zhan Ming Bridge, Qu Chi, Cao Cao Cao Tang, Shuang Qing Shi, Chu Yue Chi, Chu Yue Chi Guan, Lu Qi Lou, Hu Zhong Tian, etc.

Dongguan Keyuan | Unlock the retirement life of Qing Dynasty officials for 8 yuan
8 yuan is the entrance fee for Keyuan. Considering the scale of Keyuan, 8 yuan is indeed reasonable, but in terms of the viewing value of Keyuan, 8 yuan is definitely a bargain.
Officials of the Qing Dynasty ended their official careers early and returned to their hometown Dongguan to build gardens and recuperate, taking up the leisure of drinking and chatting with old friends, and composing poetry with aides in their spare time. It is a free and easy transition from military to literary pursuits, and a return to simplicity and authenticity.
Although Keyuan is small, it has all the necessary parts. Known for its exquisite and ingenious design, every pavilion, landscape, bridge, hall, and courtyard is filled with the designer's infinite thoughts. Although it is not bustling, it has its own poetic charm.

The Ke Garden in Dongguan is a Lingnan garden worth visiting
The Ke Garden in Dongguan is a Lingnan garden worth visiting, located in the mother city of Dongguan, that is, the old town area of Dongguan old county town—Guancheng.
This is one of the four famous gardens in Lingnan (the other three are Yuyin Mountain House in Panyu, Qinghui Garden in Shunde, and Liang Garden in Foshan), and it is currently a key national cultural relic protection unit.
If Dongguan is a 24-hour busy, slightly cold world factory, then this exquisite water town garden injects a touch of slowness and a strand of warmth into this big city.
Ke Garden was built in the 30th year of the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty (1850), and the owner was Zhang Jingxiu, a Dongguan native who had been an official in Xunzhou (now Guiping City) in Guangxi. Due to disagreements in political views with his partner, he returned to his hometown in Dongguan and built this garden.
Although the garden owner Zhang Jingxiu was a military general, he was proficient in all arts including music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. After returning home, Zhang Jingxiu devoted himself to creating the garden. He originally wanted to name it 'Yi Garden' meaning 'satisfactory,' but found it too direct. The name 'Ke Garden' came from a guest's casual response 'Ke Yi' (meaning 'can'), implying the meanings of 'can do,' 'pleasant,' and 'indifferent.'
Later, the two founders of the Lingnan School of Painting—Ju Lian and Ju Chao—also came here. As Zhang Jingxiu's staff, they lived here for ten years, painting and perfecting the techniques of boneless painting, water collision, and powder collision in flower and bird painting, further enhancing the reputation of Ke Garden.
Although Ke Garden is not large, it is worth savoring in detail. On a land of three acres, there are pavilions, towers, bridges, and halls, all complete. The rich vegetation, hollowed-out flower tiles, windows made of oyster shells, and floor tiles with exquisite patterns are all worth seeing. After touring the first floor, you can also go up to the second floor for a walk, and even to the third floor to overlook the entire garden. It can be said that although Ke Garden is small, it has all the necessary features. Everywhere you look, there are framed views and borrowed scenery, winding paths leading to secluded spots, and changing vistas with every step, which is very interesting.
I wandered here for 45 minutes and still felt it was not enough. If you have enough time, I suggest you come before sunset in the afternoon. The setting sun casts a beautiful and tranquil light on the courtyard and walls, as if time itself has slowed down.
Ticket price: 8 yuan
Opening hours: Normally from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm (during summer and winter vacations from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm), ticket checking stops at 5 pm

It's not Hangzhou's West Lake, it's Dongguan Ke Garden
A great place to go on the weekend is the Dongguan Ke Garden Museum. It's not too crowded and a great spot to hang out with friends. Many Hanfu Chinese weddings are photographed here, and the ladies are all super beautiful!
The feeling of the Jiangnan water town is really vivid. You don't need to go to the south of the Yangtze River to experience the taste of spring.
The ancient architecture is very distinctive, and it's great for taking photos. Wearing a cheongsam would probably be even more beautiful.
My most, most, most favorite thing is its museum, which is super unique.
All kinds of paintings are very eye-catching! They have many characteristics of the Jiangnan area!!
The birdsong and the fragrance of flowers are like being there in person, and there's even background music, which is really interesting.
The white swans here,
and the black swans are all so cute, each one so proud!!
There are also super large koi fish, seeing them is supposed to bring good luck~

One of the four famous gardens in Lingnan, Dongguan Keyuan, the eight yuan ticket is really worth crying
This month, Yilan went to Guangdong, the main purpose is to collect the four famous gardens in Lingnan (Dongguan Keyuan, Panyu Yuyin Mountain House, Shunde Qinghui Garden, Foshan Liang Garden). The first place to go is the old Dongguan, one of the four famous gardens in Lingnan, Keyuan is hidden in Dongguan city area.
Keyuan is divided into two parts, the north gate into the garden first passed through the comprehensive exhibition area, here mainly displays the introduction is the Lingnan architectural features and classic architectural works. Out of the exhibition hall, around the small lake, from here into the Keyuan ancient architectural area. Keyuan was built in the 30th year of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty (1850), the owner is Zhang Jingxiu, a Dongguan man who once went to Guangxi to be an official. Because he disagreed with his partner's political views, he returned to his hometown in Dongguan and built this garden. Stepping into the garden, as if through the time tunnel, came to the Jiangnan water town, the garden lake clear, small bridge flowing water, green vegetation, beautiful flowers embellish among them, forming a poetic and picturesque ink painting.
Keyuan is famous for its exquisite garden art, the scattered buildings in the garden, such as small bridges, flowing water, pavilions, all show the unique charm of Chinese classical garden architecture. Especially those cleverly designed stone bridges, winding and winding, a step a scene, every place in the walk is worth savoring.
In Keyuan, not only can you appreciate the beauty of traditional garden architecture, but also taste the unique charm of Lingnan culture. The buildings in the garden are all integrated with the elements of Lingnan traditional culture, such as brick carving, wood carving and other crafts, making the whole garden present an elegant and indifferent atmosphere.
On three acres of land (2204 square meters), houses, living rooms, villas, courtyards, gardens, study rooms, artistically integrated together. Pavilions, mountains and waters, bridges and pavilions, halls and courtyards are all available. Window carvings, railings, beauty leans, even the floor each has its own style. The layout of Keyuan is high and low, everywhere is connected, winding and winding, confusing, after a floor tour, you can also go to the second floor for a tour, then go to the third floor to overlook the whole garden. Keyuan, like an ancient poem, tells the vicissitudes of history in her unique language, recording the development and changes of Dongguan city.
