Kyoto Aquarium is a great place to relax and enjoy. The admission fee is quiet fare because it already includes a dolphin show and the amusing penguin feeding session. During feeding time you can see the personalities of some of the little Cape Penguins who as the staff take care, to feed each one of them because some penguin try to steal fish from the other penguins due to the number of fish is not equal. All feeding sessions last about 20 minutes. #givethanks

Went to the aquarium at around 1 hour plus before closing, it’s not crowded at all and can enjoy all the viewing sections leisurely. Highlights is the salamander but it’s only one tank. The jelly fish section has a wide variety and farming area. Good trip :)

Upon entering the aquarium, the first thing that catches my eye is the enormous and beautiful ocean tank, filled with various marine creatures swimming leisurely, making me feel as if I have stepped into another world. Schools of fish dart around, dolphins swim gracefully, and the colorful tropical fish seem to be telling their own stories. The most breathtaking part is the simulated underwater tunnel, with its transparent dome that makes me feel like I can walk directly through the ocean, surrounded by schools of fish and giant sharks gliding gently by, evoking a sense of awe. This place deeply impressed upon me the mysteries and wonders of nature, as if all the busyness and noise disappeared with the water flow, leaving only peace and harmony. Day 2: Discovering Unique Scenery in the City On the second day, I visited the Umeda area in Osaka, which is full of urban vitality and modernity. One of the highlights of my trip was the Floating Garden Observatory at the Umeda Sky Building. From the observation deck, I had a panoramic view of the entire Osaka city, with its bustling streets, dense skyscrapers, and distant mountains. As the sun set, the city lights gradually came on, enveloping the entire city in a golden glow. Standing on the observation deck, I felt the vibrant energy of the city, in stark contrast to the tranquility of the aquarium the day before. This experience made me understand the connection between nature and humanity, as well as the unique charm of modern cities.

What comes into view is a huge blue water tank, with groups of fish swimming leisurely, shining with silver light, as bright as a galaxy. The jellyfish exhibition hall is the most charming. The transparent body changes into magnificent colors under the light, like a floating artwork, quiet and full of poetry. Stepping into the exhibition area that simulates the ecology of Kyoto's rivers, the water flow is gurgling, and koi fish swim gracefully in the gurgling streams, as if whispering the secrets of the ancient capital. The penguin area in the museum makes people smile. They are so naive, sometimes stretching their necks to comb their feathers, sometimes clumsily jumping into the water, filling the air with pure joy. When I said goodbye, looking back at the deep blue, my heart seemed to be soaked in it. Kyoto Aquarium integrates nature and art. It is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a journey for the soul. In this water color, I seem to have touched the purity and tenderness of life.

Location: Kyoto Aquarium Address: 35-1 Kankijicho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, inside Umekoji Park Access: 15-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station It is recommended to visit other tourist spots first and then choose to go to the aquarium last, as it is within walking distance from Kyoto Station. The aquarium was open until 6 PM, but I was able to see everything even after entering past 4 PM. There are many famous creatures such as garden eels and penguins, and in the large tanks, various fish swim around, creating a fantastical atmosphere. There are also many other creatures, so you can take your time and look around at your own pace.

#2024wish I absolutely LOVED this aquarium! it was so beautiful and mesmerising. they showcased a lot of different species and animals (e.g seals), i won't mention more so you can go see the animals for yourself ~ i seriously enjoyed it so much! if you come at around 12:00 (or 13:00 i think) and 15:00, you might get to see the dolphin show as well! they also have a free paper jellyfish making activity :>
