Hidden Hiking Gem in Hangzhou: Ten Li Langdang, where the spring colors of the tea mountains intoxicate the heart
Springtime in Hangzhou, this beautiful city, always brings endless surprises to people. In this season, I stumbled upon a hiking paradise - Ten Li Langdang. It is not only a favorite leisure spot for locals but also a dream destination for photography enthusiasts and hiking lovers.
Following the winding path, every step feels like walking on the imprints of history. Especially before the Qingming Festival, the tea-picking scene in Longjing Village is picturesque. In the lush green tea gardens, the tea-picking women move their fingers lightly, dancing with the fragrance of tea overflowing, as if the entire spring has been encapsulated in these tender green leaves.
The beauty of Ten Li Langdang lies not only in its natural scenery but also in the tranquility and harmony it embodies, as if time slows down here. Standing on the mountaintop, overlooking the serenity of West Lake, an indescribable emotion wells up in the heart. The scenery of the tea mountains here has the grace of the southern water towns, yet does not lose the grandeur of nature.
Wandering through Ten Li Langdang, every step is a purification of the soul. The beauty here not only makes one linger but also provides a peaceful haven in the midst of the bustling city. If you are also interested in such a hiking trip, why not come to Ten Li Langdang and experience the spring colors of the tea mountains, allowing your soul to relax and elevate amidst the greenery.

The people of Hangzhou are filled with envy
How can there be such a beautiful hiking trail in such an urban area? As soon as you enter the JiuXi bus station, you are captivated by the misty jungle and stream. Walking further into the mountains, the streams are crystal clear and the tea gardens lush green. It's a blissful four hours of oxygen intake, following the route from JiuXi to JiuXi YanShu to Longjing Village to Shili Langdang to Wuyun Mountain, which takes close to four hours. The only challenging part is the climb at Shili Langdang!

A real shoot of the Ten-mile Langya leading up to the spring mountain, where Longjing tea is inquired
Spring is the busy season for tea picking🌿
Climbing the tea mountains is the most suitable activity.
The tea mountains near Longjing village rise along the slopes, presenting a spectacular view.
The uniformly dressed tea farmers, with their straw hats, are busily picking the tea leaves.
.
🚶Route: From the Ten-mile Langya Archway to the three-way fork and back the same way, the route is not too difficult, and children can complete it with occasional rests.
📷: The most photogenic spots are in the first half of the journey; those who only wish to take photos can even turn back at the pavilion at the beginning (the pavilion is shown in the last picture).
🚗Transportation: During the tea season, the area is crowded, and taxis are regulated so it's hard to get a ride to Longjing village. It's also not recommended to drive as it's congested, and even walking is difficult. It's suggested to travel by two-wheeled vehicles🛵🚴

🔹I arranged Jiuxi at the beginning of my route, personally I think Jiuxi is more beautiful now, if arranged later I'm afraid everyone will be too tired to appreciate it.
🔹The section from Longjing➡️to Meijiawu of Shili Langdang is not recommended for friends with poor stamina, personally I think the scenery is average, and if the weather is good the sun will be very strong‼️
🔹Friends on the 2nd and 3rd routes can rest and adjust in Longjing Village, have meals and tea breaks.
🔹Apart from the Yunqi Bamboo Path ticket of 8 yuan (free with a park card)

Hiking through the Longjing Tea Hills in Hangzhou, you step into the verdant world of the movie
Starting from the ten-mile Langying signpost, a direct climb of about 3 kilometers takes you to a three-way junction, and then you can head down. Returning the same way is already very tiring.
It is advised that everyone should proceed according to their ability. There are no toilets or places to sit on the way up, you can only keep ascending. It is only on the way down that you will find places selling food and drinks, so make sure to bring enough supplies.
The scenery is incredibly beautiful, just like the scenes from Wu Lei's new movie 'The World of Plants and People'.
The movie was filmed right here.
It feels like going on a cloudy or rainy day would be more atmospheric than on a sunny day.
Passing by the villagers' homes, you can also buy their tea leaves, which are freshly roasted and quite good.

.
🚗Transportation Strategy:
Take the bus to Meijiawu Station, and right across is the entrance to the Shili Langdang hiking trail~
.
🌟Trip Highlights:
1. This hiking route is relatively easy in terms of order.
There are steps in Meijiawu indicating how many you've climbed, and the steps are quite even, so it's quite relaxing~
2. From Sanfenchai, you can overlook the West Lake; the tea gardens and the West Lake create a layered picture~
3. The tea gardens in Longjing Village are healing, with a broad view~ This path is a downhill route, with steeper steps, so it would be more tiring if you were going uphill. You can also find a place to sit and enjoy some Longjing tea~
4. Jiuxi Eighteen Streams has a small stream, which is more comfortable after climbing. The exit at Jiuxi Bus Station is right beside the Qiantang River, where you can enjoy the river view~

Hangzhou Classic Hiking Route
Today the weather is good, so I came out to record the Jiuxi Eighteen Streams—Longjing Village—Shili Langdang one-day hike
Hangzhou classic hiking route, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, 13.5km, 4.5 hours, the most beautiful scenery along the way is undoubtedly in Longjing Village, the origin of Longjing tea, with picturesque scenery. After arriving at Longjing Village, don't immediately cross the archway of Shili Langdang to go up the mountain. It is recommended to first visit the famous 18 ancient Longjing tea trees, with an entrance fee of 10 yuan, and then go to the tea garden across the road, where you can overlook the entire Longjing Village.
The most exhausting part of the journey is the section from Longjing Village through Shili Langdang to the top of the mountain, which takes about 40 minutes to climb.
If you are driving, there is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, 10 yuan per hour. Coming out from Yunxi Bamboo Path, diagonally across the road is the bus stop, where you can take bus 103 for 3 yuan to return to the entrance.
Hiking Route: Jiuxi Entrance (Jiuxi Bus Station), Jiuxi Yan Trees, Longjing Village, Three-way Fork, Wanlin Back Mountain, Zhenji Temple, Yunqi Bamboo Path. There are clear signs along the way, and you generally won't go wrong

An autumn trip that only locals in Hangzhou can find, a trip to enjoy maple and ginkgo leaves is enough
🌳🍂Route:
Take the bus and get off at Jiuxi Bus Station, we are about to start an autumn adventure! Next, we will visit five stunning spots in turn: Jiuxi, Wuyun Mountain (Zhenji Temple), Meijiawu, Shili Langdang and Longjing Village.
📷Must-see here:
1⃣【Jiuxi】: Starting from the entrance, a piece of golden ginkgo trees and red maple trees will appear in front of you, intertwined like a painting, blooming against each other. This is a popular spot for many photography enthusiasts, let's freeze this beautiful moment together!
2⃣【Wuyun Mountain】: Continue along the road, you will find a conspicuous 【Wuyun Mountain】 plaque standing by the road, which marks the start of our climb to Wuyun Mountain. At the top of the mountain, we will be amazed to find a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree in the 【Zhenji Temple】, which has now turned golden, with ginkgo leaves scattered all over the ground. The architectural style of the temple is unique, as if you are in a small courtyard in the south of the Yangtze River, giving a sense of tranquility and peace.
3⃣【Meijiawu】: After leaving Zhenji Temple, we continue to move forward, cross the picturesque path, and arrive at Meijiawu. The tea mountains here are continuous, green, and the entire hillside is covered with tea trees, which is breathtaking. Whether it's taking casual photos or carefully composing, you can capture grand scenes, like healing works of art.
4⃣【Shili Langdang】: It's really a feast for the eyes. The green tiles and white walls are hidden among the tea mountains, as if entering a beautiful scene like a paradise. The winding and twisting paths form a great picture, which is fascinating. The beautiful scenery here is impressive, and I can't help but exclaim. The winding and long roads, excellent composition. Suddenly exclaimed, it's not that I couldn't take pictures before, it's the scenery that's not good.
——————————————
Highly recommended! If you haven't been here yet, you must come once! I really regret coming late❗
🚩Tips:
1⃣The scenery here is beautiful and quiet, it is recommended to go with friends.
2⃣Don't forget to bring enough water, at least two bottles, and prepare some food.

The most beautiful hike
I've been wanting to hike for a long time. Early in the morning, I took the high-speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou, took a taxi from Longxiangqiao subway station to the entrance of Jiuxi 18 Stream, and walked along the way, accidentally entering Yangmeiling. I was amazed by the towering trees of Yangmeiling. If it weren't for the stone-paved road, it would be like being in a primeval forest. Because I was going to Jiuxi Yan Village, I returned to Jiuxi 18 Stream to Longjing Village, climbed ten miles to Wuyun Mountain to see the 1400-year-old ginkgo tree, the top of the mountain has a stunning view, from the top of the mountain you can see Hangzhou city and West Lake. Then I took the bus from Yunshan Bamboo Sea to a park. Although tired, I was very happy, then had a barbecue, and returned to Shanghai by high-speed train at more than nine o'clock in the evening. Too tired, too beautiful, too happy, too worth it. If you think it's too tiring, you can stay in Hangzhou for one night.

Nine Creeks + Eight Ravines - Li Langdang - Yunqi Bamboo Path
Huang Gui's guide to avoiding crowds and congestion is here!
In the April days of the world, how can outdoor enthusiasts not take a stroll in Jiuxi Tenli Langdang? Before going, I saw that this route has recently been crowded with people, so I studied the route map and found that perhaps fewer people would go if we walked in reverse. So I booked a homestay in Yunqi Bamboo Path and set off after buying tickets!
On Saturday and Sunday at 9am, depart from Yunqi and encounter no more than 10 people all the way to Zhenji Temple. The crowd only starts to increase after reaching the three-way intersection, but the journey is already halfway through. The most crowded section is in Longjing Village, but it is not as crowded as shown in the online map. Walk and take photos along the way.
Take a photo and arrive near Jiuxi Bus Stop around 1pm. Scan a shared bike and ride to Wuguitan. Lie under the shade of a tree until around 5pm and then go eat. No anxiety about congestion throughout the whole journey!
For the section of the road that climbs up to Shililangdang, we happened to be descending, so if you don't have particularly good physical strength and don't want to be crowded, you can start from Yunqi with us~
