Suzhou Gardens, this is how you should capture its essence! Traditional Chinese cheongsam, a dream back to the Republic of China era
🎢【Suzhou Gardens Day Portrait Guide】
【Cheongsam Portrait Shooting Guide】
🗓Itinerary:
Choosing the location
Cheongsam is suitable for shooting in the Republic of China style streets or Ming and Qing Dynasty style grey tile white wall garden buildings.
So this time we chose Suzhou Gardens for shooting. Suzhou Gardens are famous for their unique classical architecture and exquisite garden landscapes. However, there are many tourists, so you can choose relatively less popular gardens. Suitable gardens: Liu Garden, Canglang Pavilion and Ke Garden are just across the street, Yipu, etc.
When choosing a shooting location, you can decide according to the style and scene you want. For example, Humble Administrator's Garden is famous for its exquisite architecture and waterscape, suitable for shooting elegant portraits; while Lion Grove has a unique rock landscape, suitable for shooting portraits with a certain wildness.
🕙Shooting time:
One hour before the opening and closing of the garden, avoid the crowd, you can enjoy a truly quiet garden.
📝Tips:
Make full use of the light in the garden, find the time near sunset. Create rich shadows and light and dark effects. For example, when shooting portraits, you can choose where the sunlight shines through the leaves, using the tree shadows to add a sense of layering to the picture.
🧳Composition techniques
Use garden elements: Suzhou Gardens are famous for their unique architecture and garden elements, these elements can serve as the background or props for portrait shooting. For example, when shooting portraits, you can choose to shoot in the garden's corridors, pavilions or stone bridges, using these buildings as the background for the portraits, enhancing the artistic sense of the picture.
Capture the moment: There are often some unique moments in Suzhou Gardens, such as ripples on the water, petals falling, etc.
Pay attention to composition and posture: When shooting portraits, the choice of composition and posture is very important. You can try different angles and shooting methods to create unique picture effects. At the same time, pay attention to the model's posture and expression, let them relax naturally, showing their best state.
The most important thing is to make good use of the various shapes of door frames and stone windows in the garden: The background of Suzhou Gardens is often exquisite architecture and landscapes, which can echo with the portraits. When shooting portraits, you can use the garden background, interact with the model, and create interesting picture effects. For example, when shooting portraits, you can let the model and the flowers and plants in the garden complement each other, adding a sense of liveliness to the picture.

The upcoming Suzhou can be described as the ceiling of autumn travel
I visit Suzhou many times every year
My favorite is Suzhou in late autumn
The combination of gardens and autumn colors
Is definitely the ceiling of the autumn viewing industry
-
👇My autumn viewing route
Tiger Hill→Lingering Garden→Humble Administrator's Garden→Xiyuan Temple→Tianping Mountain→Shuangta Temple→Taiping Zen Street→Tiger Hill Wetland Park
-
🌟Recommended autumn viewing spots
1️⃣Tiger Hill
The most beautiful ginkgo check-in place in Suzhou in autumn, go to Tiger Hill to take a ginkgo rain, the two rows of ginkgo trees at the south entrance of Tiger Hill are beautiful, the maple leaves inside are red, the forests are all dyed, and they are beautiful.
-
2️⃣Humble Administrator's Garden
The current Humble Administrator's Garden can be described as the ceiling of Suzhou's autumn viewing. The pavilions, terraces and pavilions, framing and window views, one step at a time, every place wants to stop and take pictures.
-
3️⃣Tianping Mountain
One of the four famous red maple mountains in China, when it comes to autumn, the whole mountain becomes red. The red maple of Tianping Mountain is mainly concentrated on Shijing Pond, Fangsheng Pond, Baiyun Pond and other watersides.
-
4️⃣Xiyuan Temple
Here, ginkgo leaves are not swept, watching ginkgo, stroking cats, eating vegetarian noodles, are the three must-do things for autumn outings in Xiyuan Temple. Stroking cats in the temple is also a fun thing.
-
5️⃣Shuangta Temple
There are two very large ginkgo trees here, very spectacular, very close to Pingjiang Road.
-
6️⃣Lingering Garden
Every window and scene in Lingering Garden is uniquely beautiful. The main attractions of Lingering Garden are the few red maples at the entrance and the red maples on the back mountain.
-
7️⃣Taiping Zen Temple
Taiping Zen Temple has a hundred-year-old ginkgo tree, which is the tallest and largest I have seen so far. Taking pictures under the tree is very atmospheric. The ginkgo leaves are almost yellow now.
-
8️⃣Tiger Hill Wetland Park
In autumn, the water cypress in Tiger Hill Wetland Park is red all over the forest. Every year at this season, Tiger Hill Wetland Park is as beautiful as a town in a fairy tale.
-
🌟tips
1️⃣The time for autumn viewing is roughly from the end of November to December. The ginkgo and red maple gradually turn yellow. Now many have turned yellow. The ginkgo is faster, so it is recommended to hurry up.
2️⃣There are really many people watching the autumn, it is recommended to go early in the morning, there will not be many people, there will be crowds at noon and afternoon.

A renowned classical Chinese garden in Suzhou
Getting There - 338 Liuyuan Road, Gusu District, Suzhou
This is a classical 16th century Chinese garden featuring rock, water and pavilion. It’s smaller than Humble Administrator’s Garden but due to its significance in Chinese culture, it’s considered as the Classical Gardens of Suzhou.
I recommend a visit to this and Humble Administrator’s Garden to have a more complete understanding of Chinese garden and design.
This garden features more stone mountains and a lot of bamboo to add the softness in constrast to its Stone mountains. There are a lot of bonsais too.
The garden is divided into four distinctly themed sections; East, Central, West, and North. So it’s quite easy to navigate around.

A nice place to spot koi fish🪷🐠
#createwithtrip
this garden is called the Lingering Garden and it is located in the Gusu district in Suzhou China it is known for its beautiful structure and it’s peaceful atmosphere but one thing that really stands out is that around this area there are lots of ponds and little bodies of water in which you can find so many fishes.
and in this particular spot the koi fish is the most predominant species in that water. And one thing that it really does is that it brightens the atmosphere and instead of having just regular ponds of water with no life the koi just brings a vibrant color to the atmosphere.

What makes these windows special 🪟
The lingering garden is one of the oldest gardens in Suzhou. It is located in the Gusu district of suzhou, and is known for many things and one of the things is it’s really beautiful and simplistic windows.
This garden is special because all around the garden there are different rooms and chambers which are all separated but still connected at the same time. And this is all because of the design of the windows.
One thing that you would notice is that these windows aren’t like your average windows they do not have the normal glass that you would have in your regular Windows so they are designed so that they create a separation between the inside and the outside and also creates a connection at the same time between inside and outside. which I consider really amazing.

This tea shop in the Lingering garden 💯
After quite a bit of walking around, one thing that makes the stay worth while, is also the fact that you can stop at this cozy and aesthetic tea shop, you’re able to take a break from walking around all the time, and have a nice sip of hot tea with a view. This is also a shop where they sell some souvenirs some postcards and different things about the garden you can see some of the photos that were taken hundreds of years ago by different photographers and you can actually have them and compare with the newer photos that you’ve taken then you can also buy some little nice tea cups if you’re interested. So I personally think that this is a fantastic touch in addition to the garden.

The famous chambers of Liu yuan
One thing to notes when you’re at the the the Lingering Garden in Suzhou. Is that you are going to have a high possibility of getting lost in the Lingering Garden is not one of the biggest gardens of Suzhou but there are so many different rooms and chambers which in the olden times serve different purposes, such as receiving guests, dining spaces, the rooms and sleeping chambers, the meeting rooms and so many more.
when I got there for the first time I realized this very quickly that I would have to pay attention to where I am in the garden so as not to completely get lost there are so many different quarters and doorways they lead to new places all the time. So here’s an interesting fact about this garden. #scenicspotguide #urbanexplorer #suzhou #suzhoulandmark

Visiting the lingering garden 🪴 🏯
This garden has actually been around for centuries now and one thing that is really amazing is the fact that over the years many of the same structures that were around hundreds of years ago are still present to this day.
There are even some pictures that were taking hundreds of years ago that can still be compared to more recent pictures.
#suzhou you’re looking for a place that is super calm and beautiful with the more traditional Chinese look then the Lingering Garden is the place for you. And it’s located in the Gusu District of Suzhou in China and in this district it there are so many other suzhou Garden‘s so I would recommend visiting as many as you can if you’re in this area.#suzhou #suzhoulandmark #staycation #naturalwonders #gardens #suzhougardens

Visited the lingering garden at 6am 🌄
the best time to Visit any one of these Suzhou gardens is when there are as few tourists as possible. This was the case when I visited the Lingering Garden on this day, I set out very early in the morning because I and some other people were invited to take some pictures at this location.
the moment I arrived, I was super excited at the fact that the whole#suzhou place was completely empty. so there was only one thing to do and that was to get shooting. I was able to get some self portraits, after a while of shooting it started to rain, which gave the garden quite a different and interesting feel. also I’m a huge fan of the design of the trashcans.

UNESCO World Heritage site in Suzhou 🎍
A unique landscape and architectural design dating back to 1593 is what makes The Lingering Garden a renowned classical garden in Suzhou.
The garden comprises of connected walkways, a yellow stone granite grotto and a pond encircled by the central garden 🪴 Every corner is a work of art with intricate details to marvel at. I highly recommend to go there at opening time as it gets really crowded! There’s also a tea house to sit and relax if you want to rest for a bit 🍵The exit comprises of an interesting souvenir shop if you want some token gifts.

Reverse Travel in Suzhou
⛰️ Pingjiang Road
Take Exit 3 from Xiangmen Station on Subway Line 1 and walk 400 meters to reach the entrance of Pingjiang Road, which is half of the Gusu City. Pingjiang Road is indeed very enjoyable, with scenic spots, delicious food, and Pingtan (a form of musical storytelling) to listen to, but there are just too many people.
⛰️ Shantang Street
From Shantang Street Station on Subway Line 2, take Exit 3 and walk for about 3 minutes to reach the seven-mile Shantang checkpoint. Shantang Street is divided into two sides, one side is more commercialized, which is the internet-famous checkpoint we often see. The other side is more simple, with snack bars and fruit shops along the road. Rongyang Tower is located on this street. Shantang Street at sunset is really beautiful, and it's recommended to go in and take a walk around four or five in the afternoon, then wait for the sunset on the bridge. After 5:30 pm, the tour groups start to arrive.
⛰️ Lingering Garden
Lingering Garden is quite far from the subway station. It is one of the four famous gardens, so it's best to go early, or it will be full of tour groups.
⛰️ Humble Administrator's Garden
Known as one of the four great gardens of China, second only to Beijing's Summer Palace, the garden is centered around water, with mountains and water winding around, exquisite pavilions, lush flowers and trees, and a strong characteristic of the Jiangnan water towns. Rocks, green bamboo, ancient trees, and flowers compose a serene and tranquil picture.

Suzhou‖Lingering Garden
The Lingering Garden, along with Suzhou's Humble Administrator's Garden, Beijing's Summer Palace, and Chengde's Mountain Resort, is known as one of China's four famous gardens. The garden is filled with pavilions, terraces, towers, and oddly-shaped corridors, coupled with the greenery and a clear pond, offering a view at every step, and the scenery is very elegant. Here, one can experience the unassuming aura between the garden landscapes and waterscapes.
The Lingering Garden was originally built in the 21st year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (AD 1593),
as a private garden for Xu Taishi, the 'Lesser Minister of the Imperial Stud', and was then known as 'East Garden'. At the end of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, it was acquired by Liu Shu, who expanded it and renamed it 'Cold Green Mountain Villa', commonly referred to as 'Liu Garden'. At the beginning of the Guangxu era, the garden was bought by the official Shen Kang, who renamed it 'Lingering Garden'.

Misty rain enters Jiangnan, the landscape is like ink painting
The beauty of Chinese garden landscaping
Experience it firsthand
Every time I see it, I am deeply moved
This is the ultimate aesthetic of our ancestors!
Emma Johnson Emma1
This is probably the ultimate aesthetic that is indelibly etched in our ancestors' bones
|Hi, today I want to share with everyone the beauty captured by the camera.
Last autumn, I made a trip to Suzhou
and was deeply amazed by the Chinese aesthetics of the Suzhou gardens!
Of course, I couldn't miss out this spring either
In March, the magnolias in Suzhou quietly bloomed
Framed by the flower windows, they resembled a natural traditional Chinese painting
There were also camellias, bamboo forests, all brimming with the essence of spring
Painting the beauty of the Jiangnan region to its fullest extent.
I must say, the landscaping of the Suzhou gardens
really is the pinnacle of Chinese aesthetics
Cleverly using techniques such as framing, borrowing, leaking, adding
Opposing, separating, sandwiching, and blocking views
Integrating nature into the gardens
With every step, there is a different scene, and everywhere is full of poetic and picturesque charm
It's steeped in the essence of traditional culture
This kind of profound Chinese romanticism
Really moves me every time I see it
Once again, I am touched by the aesthetic sense of our ancestors 😭

✨Guan Yun Peak is the tallest existing Taihu rock peak in China, a relic of the Song Dynasty Huashi Gang, standing 6.5 meters tall. The peak is greyish-white, slightly arched, grand and majestic, and embodies the essence of being open, transparent, slender, and upright, making it a top-grade stone. JEFFERSON MCGEE
Just got back! Spent the holiday in Suzhou with this guide! (Two days and two nights edition)
How can one not visit the south in springtime? Only in Suzhou do you realize how beautiful the water towns of the south are.
🚆 Transportation: Tianjin South - Suzhou North round trip
🏠 Accommodation: Hanting Hotel, Sanxiang Square Subway Station
Day1️⃣ Guanqian Street - Xiaojiacun - Pingjiang Road
✨ Arrived in the evening, dropped off luggage and went to Guanqian Street for food. Guanqian Street is like an enlarged snack street, where you can find the food you want to try.
✨ Recommended to visit Pingjiang Road at night, those who want to buy cheongsams can go to Xiaojiacun, where all the famous cheongsam shops are located, with fewer people at night. But please shop around, as most here are factory goods, and the same items may vary in price from shop to shop.
Day2️⃣ Lingering Garden - Xiyuan Temple - Huanxiu Villa - Qu Garden - Yi Garden - Dashitou Alley - Shantang Street
✨ Lingering Garden's hydrangeas are blooming, and the bonsai garden's trees and plants are also very exquisite! If you want to see the garden with fewer people, you must enter at 7:30 am, head straight for the hydrangeas and then to the pond side. After 8 am, when the tour groups come in, you can only jostle to see the crowd.‼️ There is also a hydrangea near the exit in the back yard, where you can sit on a bench and take photos!
✨ Arrived at Xiyuan Temple around 9:30 am, so went straight for the vegetarian noodles and buns. Although there's a queue for the noodles, it moves fast. There are cats in the temple, but friends, please do not buy the irregular cat treats sold at the entrance. If you want to feed the cats, please bring your own, and don't be disappointed or angry if the cat doesn't want to eat, it might be full...
✨ Huanxiu Villa's rockery has been added with support pillars and fences, which may affect the view, but it's quiet and the rockery design is unique.
✨ Qu Garden is free, you can stop by and take a look. Next to Qu Garden is a tailor shop (didn't take the name 😭) selling cheongsams, which I personally think are more distinctive than those on Pingjiang Road. I angrily bought a blue cheongsam, the shopkeeper grandpa will enthusiastically recommend, but the price is high and you can bargain directly!
✨ Yi Garden is suitable for photo shoots! The light is soft around four in the afternoon, and you can keep taking pictures until the garden closes, with fewer and fewer people. The cats in Yi Garden are also very cute!
✨ Old Stone Noodle House can be reached on foot from Yi Garden. It's usually full around five in the afternoon and stops serving at 7:30 pm.
✨ Shantang Street is recommended for taking photos by the roadside, as it's really crowded. If you want to see the night view, you can enter from the nearby residential area to other bridges to take photos.
Day2️⃣ Suzhou Museum - Pingjiang Road - Twin Pagodas Market - Dinghui Temple
✨ Suzhou Museum's main building requires an appointment one week in advance, and you must grab it at eight in the morning. The architecture of the museum is exquisite but the exhibits are not too rich, and you may need to queue for photos at popular spots.
✨ During the day. Pingjiang Road. A billion people! You can walk along the main road for a while and then explore the alleys, you might find unexpected surprises!
✨ Twin Pagodas Market actually has no special features, but I really like the road outside, sitting by the river, enjoying the breeze and watching the boats pass by, that's what comfort is.
✨ Dinghui Temple also has snacks nearby, but had to catch the high-speed train so didn't explore seriously. The temple is small and doesn't charge an entrance fee, you can take a look when passing by.
😍 In Suzhou, the beauty of the south is vividly displayed! How can one not miss the south?

The four famous gardens are truly remarkable
This is a garden that was first built during the Ming dynasty, known as 'Hanbi Mountain Villa' during the Qing dynasty, commonly referred to as 'Liu Garden', and later renamed to 'Lingering Garden'. Lingering Garden has gained fame for its exquisite architectural structures and its unique rock formations. Among the four famous gardens, Lingering Garden is the smallest in both name and size, but as the Chinese proverb goes, 'The sparrow may be small but it has all the vital organs.' Within the compact Lingering Garden, cultural charm, classical architecture, and natural scenery are all indispensable.
❤Recommended Reason:
The beauty of Lingering Garden lies in its extraordinary rocks and stones. Here, you can see the essence of Taihu rocks, the Crown Cloud Peak, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of mountain forests without stepping outside.
The beauty of Lingering Garden also lies in its collection of all garden sceneries. Like other gardens, you can also find pavilions, towers, and artificial mountains in Lingering Garden. The garden is divided into three areas: west, central, and east. The west is mainly mountainous scenery with artificial mountains arranged around the southeast side of the pond; the central area is a pond that has been excavated, which is also the central area of the entire garden. The pond is the center, with artificial mountains and small pavilions to the north, surrounded by trees.

The water towns of Jiangnan, including Suzhou and Hangzhou, are a must-visit
Recommendations:
Lingering Garden:
The Lingering Garden is not large, but the scenery is exquisite. Each window is like a picture frame, offering a unique view at every step, and every window presents a different scene. The garden's layout is perfect for taking beautiful photos.
Pingjiang Road:
You must try the 'hand-rowed boats' to experience the 'gentle breeze and cool waters' and 'lean on the boat's window to gaze at the distant mountains.'
'Zhizhenshe' is a place to listen to Suzhou Pingtan, where the teachers sing beautifully. The teahouse has limited seating, which makes it quiet and peaceful. The set menu includes tea, and the prices are affordable.
'Xie Dongjia' is highly recommended for crab roe noodles and taro mochi. I even packed a portion to eat on the way back to Beijing.
Xiyuan Temple and Hanshan Temple:
I recommend Xiyuan Temple. Visit before three in the afternoon, eat vegetarian noodles next to the Heavenly King Hall, especially the Guanyin noodles. Grab two vegetarian buns near the Drum Tower. Both the buns and noodles have a sweet taste, so if you don't like sweet flavors, you might want to skip them.
Tiger Hill:
Enter through the north gate and stroll from the back hill to the front hill. You must take a bamboo raft boat; the dock is under the bridge at the north gate entrance. The photos are incredibly beautiful! Below the Sword Pool on the front hill is the tomb of King Wu, and climbing to the top reveals the 'Leaning Pagoda' with its pleasant scenery. When visiting, avoid Saturdays and Sundays to not miss out on Suzhou! Book the Suzhou Museum one week in advance. I do not recommend the Lion Grove Garden and Hanshan Temple.
Hangzhou Avoid and Recommendations:
Zhejiang Provincial Museum:
You must visit the Zhejiang Pavilion, where the ten treasures of the museum are located. Make sure to book in advance! The Gushan Pavilion is located within the West Lake scenic area, and you can visit it while touring West Lake. I recommend the porcelain and lacquerware galleries, especially the lacquerware. Although there are few pieces, they are exquisite, with many from the Song and Yuan dynasties on display.
China National Tea Museum:
You can visit exhibition halls 1-4; the others are not very interesting. The museum environment is nice, located near Hupao, where you can drink Longjing tea. It's better to chat more and buy less.
Xixi National Wetland Park:
One of the top ten wetland parks, it's like a real-life version of the 'Emerald City' from The Wizard of Oz. Inside, there's a mini version of an ancient town with small bridges and flowing water, perfect for photography. There aren't many tourists, and it's divided into free and paid areas. If you don't take a rowing boat, the free area is enough to explore.
Leifeng Pagoda and Broken Bridge are to be avoided. Don't go, especially to Leifeng Pagoda, as it's a waste of money. Paying 40 yuan to take an elevator to the top just to feel the cold wind is not worth it. It's better to visit the West Lake scenic area in the evening; there's not much to see during the day, but the night view is nice!

Lingering Garden
Lingering Garden, this historically significant classical garden, ranks among China's four most famous gardens with its unique charm. It is renowned not only for its intricate architectural layout and rich collection of exotic rocks but also stands alongside Suzhou's Humble Administrator's Garden, Beijing's Summer Palace, and Chengde's Mountain Resort as a jewel in the crown of traditional Chinese gardens.
The history of Lingering Garden dates back to when it was the private garden of Xu Taishi, the Minor Minister of the Imperial Stud, originally named 'East Garden'. Later, the garden came into the possession of Liu Shu, who after meticulous reconstruction renamed it 'Hanbi Villa'. To enhance the garden's scenery, Liu Shu specially collected twelve famous peaks to transplant into the garden, adding an extra touch of elegance. Subsequently, the garden was acquired and renovated by Sheng Kang from Changzhou, and it was eventually renamed 'Lingering Garden' due to the homophonic play on words.
Lingering Garden is divided into four areas, each with its unique charm. The central area is themed around landscapes, showcasing natural beauty; the eastern area features courtyard architecture, highlighting the refinement of human culture; the northern area presents the tranquil scenery of rural farmland; and the western area is lush with trees, making visitors feel as though they are in the midst of a forest.
Visitors can follow a carefully designed route to appreciate the beauty of the garden one spot at a time. From the intertwining ancient trees to the shaded paths, and then to attractions such as Mingse Building and Hanbi Villa, every step is full of surprises. During the tour, one can also admire the three great spectacles: Guanyun Peak, Nanmu Hall, and the Fish Fossil.
Guanyun Peak, a highlight of Lingering Garden, attracts countless visitors with its 6.5-meter-tall stature and its unique grey-white, slightly arched shape. It is not only one of the tallest existing lake rock peaks in China but also a precious relic of the Song Dynasty's Huashi Gang. The name Guanyun Peak comes from the characteristics of its towering peak and the crown-like spread at its top.
Nanmu Hall is another highlight of Lingering Garden. Known colloquially as the 'Five Peaks Fairy Hall', Nanmu Hall is famous for its exquisite decoration and elegant furnishings, and is acclaimed as 'the number one hall in the south of the Yangtze River'. Its name derives from the fact that the beams, columns, and furniture inside the hall are all made of nanmu wood.
Finally, the Fish Fossil in Lingering Garden is worth mentioning. This fossil is housed in a rectangular glass frame in Guanyun Building, measuring 4.6 meters in length and 1.25 meters in width. On it, one can clearly see over twenty fossils of the fish species Middle Kyphosus, each more than ten centimeters long. These fossils date back over 140 million years and are extremely rare ornamental treasures.
Lingering Garden is located at No. 338 Liuyuan Road, Suzhou, with convenient transportation. Visitors can take the subway line 2 to Shilu Station and walk 1 kilometer to reach it; or take bus routes 933, 85, or tourist line 1 to the Liuyuan Station. Whether driving or using public transport, it is easy to reach this beautiful classical garden.

When these flowers wither, spring has already made its full circle at the Lingering Garden, where a tree of hydrangeas comes to vie for the spring
Hydrangeas in late spring are about to bring a chill,
With a tree full of delicate snow that's not yet dry.
In the deep of April's spring,
Countless flowers compete in splendor, bustling,
Making it hard for one's eyes to follow.
Before one has had enough of the garden's myriad purples and bright reds,
The blooming of the hydrangeas arrives,
This touch of pure white that leaps into sight,
Is unsullied and transcendent...

PRINCESS CALDWELL
The six cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai are indeed the pinnacle of tourism
I love the spring in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, with the bright and beautiful March and April, where good scenery can be found everywhere in the south of the Yangtze River.
You can travel from Nanjing, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou to Shaoxing, enjoying countless beautiful views and delicious foods.
In Nanjing at this time, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, especially those at the Jiming Temple, which are exceptionally beautiful, making the ancient temple full of spring vitality.
While admiring the cherry blossoms, don't forget to taste Nanjing's delicacies, such as duck blood and vermicelli soup, honey lotus root, small wontons, crispy baked buns, vegetarian assorted dishes, sugar taro sprouts; Nanjing's snacks have won my heart.
Yangzhou at the end of March and the beginning of April is also lovely, with willows swaying, the green waves of Slender West Lake rippling, and boating on the lake is peaceful and leisurely, a scene that makes one want to write a poem.
Yangzhou's cuisine is also not to be missed, with a rich variety of morning tea and the light and delicate Yangzhou dishes. Oh, I really want to live in Yangzhou and be intoxicated with its food.
Heading south to the city of Suzhou, with its drizzling rain, the hydrangeas in the Lingering Garden are in full bloom, and the Suzhou gardens are like a dream in the misty rain, too beautiful for words.
Suzhou's cuisine is also so exquisite that it's hard to bring oneself to disturb it with chopsticks, with Suzhou-style noodles, pastries, and Su cuisine, so refined they seem not of this world, unforgettable!
Shanghai's spring is not only about tulips but also about crabapple blossoms, not only about romance but also about the warmth and brightness of spring.
When you come to Shanghai to enjoy the spring, you must also enjoy the food, such as shepherd's purse cakes, shepherd's purse and bamboo shoot buns, shepherd's purse three delicacies wontons; these are all part of Shanghai's spring flavor, how can one word 'fresh' describe it all?
From Shanghai to Hangzhou, it's a different scene, with the lakeside full of flowers and willows, Su Causeway in the spring morning, and the thick atmosphere of spring. A cup of Longjing tea before Qingming Festival, a view of Hangzhou's own spring, makes one linger and forget to return.
Hangzhou in spring also has its unique delicacies, with oil-braised bamboo shoots at the right time, Longjing tea fragrant Dongpo pork, osmanthus lotus seed cake, all of which are my favorites.
The last stop, Shaoxing, is also full of surprises, with tender green leaves, pink flowers, white walls and black tiles, small bridges over flowing water, a beautiful picture of spring in the south of the Yangtze River.
Shaoxing's food is impressive, with stinky tofu, wine-marinated chicken, Shaoxing three delicacies, rice cakes, drunken shrimp, all too delicious. At night, a warm pot of yellow wine helps one to sleep warmly and beautifully.
I visit the south of the Yangtze River every year, not afraid of the late arrival of spring, just come when it comes~
