The train passes through small towns and villages, where you can see the local residents' life along the way. 🚋Transportation: I took the Nuwara Eliya to Ella section, which is a classic route for the Highland Tea Garden Train. I bought a ticket at the Nanu Oya station in Nuwara Eliya. There are 3 trains a day to the south. 💹Ticket prices: LKR 3,000 for first class, LKR 2,000 for second class, and LKR 1,500 for third class. 🎏The destination, Ella, is a picturesque town with many hiking trails, Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arches Bridge, waterfalls, etc. These are popular with European and American tourists, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding highland tea gardens and canyons. 🌟Tips: 1️⃣The climate in Sri Lanka is mild in winter, but the temperature difference between morning and evening in the highland tea garden area is large, so bring a light jacket. 2️⃣The train schedule will be adjusted during the dry and rainy seasons, so check the schedule before departure and arrive early. 3️⃣Choose a seat on the left side of the train, so you can take pictures of the long train. It is the most popular hiking spot in Ella due to its relatively easy climb and spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from the peak. The trailhead starts next to Ravana Pool Club located about 4 km to the south-east of Ella town centre. It can be easily reached by hiring a tuk-tuk. Our family took about 30 minutes to reach the peak. It is better to set out early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the scorching sun. I had an incredible 1 week trip in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 I took the most scenic train ride from Kandy to Ella. The very first thing I did the next morning is to make sure to climb up the Little Adam’s Peak. Woke up at 5:15am and left our homestay at 5:30am, started to walk and was very amazed that I have finally touched some real live tea leaves 🍃 It may be still dark during this time however, the sounds of the birds while walking and the nature sounds is just so soothing. I am really stunned when I saw the Ella Rock, what a beauty! 👀 It’s an easy walk going up, and of course, I had to try the popular Orange King Coconut from Sri Lanka. The sunrise view is just breathtaking! Make sure to check the sunrise time, during that time, it was around 5:50am, as you can tell, I had to climb up TWICE, and the second time is just as sweet as the first one. Big mistake. • The Hack: Keep walking! The path continues along the narrow ridge to a second and third peak. • The Reward: You will be alone (no crowds!) and the view of Ella Gap is even wider. It looks scary but it is safe if you are careful. 3. "Hiking" in a Dress? 👗 Yes! The trail is super easy. • Difficulty: 1/10. #celebrateit Celebration hiking to Little Adam’s peak was the best decision ever. The views are incredibly beautiful. When hiking you can have a break in the middle of the way, the is a coffee place and some shops. Entrance to the peak itself is free. Emotions you will get being in the top cannot be expressed, although climbing may appear not super easy for some people 😄

Little Adam’s Peak is a lovely walk situated not far from downtown Ella. The walk has tea plantations on one side and great views of mountains on the other side. The walk is very easy to do with good signage along the route. At the top, there is a shop and cafe as well as other activities to do such as zip-lining and wall climbing. There are some toilets at the top of the walk too

Little Adam's Peak, where you can see Ella Rock, is not that high. It's not even the back mountain of the neighborhood... or maybe a hill? Haha. You can go up there as if you were taking a light walk. The road itself is made up of stairs and flat dirt roads, so it's not that difficult. Ella is in a mountainous area, so it's full of green all over, so it's really nice. Little Adam's Peak has three viewpoints, but the views aren't that different between the three, so not many people go to all three. And the third viewpoint is a steep slope that you have to go down and then go back up, so it's a little difficult. I had some time to spare, so I managed to get to the third viewpoint... Suddenly, rain clouds gathered and it started pouring down like crazy...
