#Longjing Village Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Longjing Tea Inquiry
On the bank of West Lake, in Longjing Village, the mountain road twists and turns, the spring water ding-dongs, and the tea fragrance is overflowing.
From Jiuxi to Longjing, the green tea gardens on both sides of the valley, like terraces, come into view. Each piece of tea leaf seems to be telling ancient stories. The spring breeze blows, the tea fragrance is refreshing, and the heart is refreshed.
Longjing Village, this village hidden in the mountains, seems to be the paradise in Tao Yuanming's pen. The houses on both sides are antique, and they are all tea-growing families. Every household here has its own tea room and homestay. Sitting quietly, tasting a cup of Longjing tea, listening to the lingering of water and tea leaves, it seems that time has stopped at this moment.
When you reach the three-way intersection, an ancient archway stands in front of you. The inscription reads 'Ten Li Langdang', and across the road is a large slope tea garden. I couldn't help but think of the scene when we visited Meijiawu many years ago. At that time, we saw the sign to Ten Li Langdang, and now we have finally connected the beautiful memories.
Along the mountain road, revisiting the scenic spot of 'Longjing Tea Inquiry', I feel very emotional. Longjing, this world-famous place, is not only a resort themed on tea, but also famous springs, landscapes, ancient sites and scenery. Walking in the mountains, feeling the perfect fusion of nature and man-made, that faint tea fragrance, distant artistic conception, slowly emerged in my mind, suddenly longing for the leisure and elegance of the ancients, the key is that kind of harmony with nature The concept and attitude of enjoying life.
It is said that every spring tea picking season, tourists are weaving, and they come here to ask about mountains, water, tea, tea ceremony, Longjing..., so this place has also become one of the new ten sceneries of West Lake - Longjing Tea Inquiry.
Understand tea culture at Longjing village
🍵 Longjing Village 龙井村, Hangzhou is well-known for its “Dragon Well” tea. Green tea from this village has been highly regarded for hundreds of years and made more famous during Qing dynasty’s Qianlong era.
We joined a local tour and was brought to the local tea plantation where you can walk among the tea plantation and see how the tea was harvested. There are a few tea houses in this village should you want to try out the famous Long jing tea.

Wintery West Lake
Nestled amongst West Lake scenic area lies Longjing village. Upon waking up at Lushmon Resort, booked via trip.com, I opened the door to see a blanket of snow covering the tea fields and hills surrounding the small village.
I quickly pulled my coat on and ran outside with my dog, a truly exhilarating experience. Whilst the rest of the city is soggy and wet, just 25 minutes into the mountains, highlighted the two very different sides of Hangzhou.
This winter wonderland is caring for it's residents and visitors, and blocked off the more dangerous, slippery parts of the walking trail, but there's enough available to see so much beauty.#tigeryear2022 #skiadventure
Secret spots in Hangzhou
#historicplaces
Nine creeks and eighteen Streams, "one of the ten new views of West Lake", named because of the amount of small streams in the mountains, all the way through the valley from Longjing into the Qiantang River, there are famous scenic spots "Nine creeks in misty forest", the environment is very quiet, along the way there are pavilions, teahouses, footpaths... It's great for hiking
🚶 Classic hiking trail recommendations:
Jiuxi Entrance → Jiuxi Smoke Tree → Li 'an Temple → Yangmeiling Village → Manjue Long Road → Longjing Hall of China Tea Museum → Xizhong Creek → Jiuxi Smoke Tree → Jiuxi entrance
📍 6km in length and 2-3 hours on foot
🍁 : Best viewing period of red leaves: mid-October to late November (varies by time each year)
📌 tips:
Many mosquito, remember to bring more mosquito prevention supplies
Longjing Village; find the Dragon Well
Vacationing in Hangzhou can seem underwhelming when you've lived in the city for 3 years. With current restrictions, I decided to book Lushmon Retreat in Longjing Village.
After a quick 30 minute taxi ride, we arrived in the village.. and I had no idea where the hotel was. I showed a local man a picture, and he instantly pointed me into the tea fields. A five minute trek, and we arrived.
The dog and I spent the rest of the day running up and down tea plantations in the rain. We came across waterfalls and temples, and absolutely no people.
This is my third time in the village and I truly love it.#tigeryear2022 #staycation
The tea-filled Longjing Village
Longjing Village is surrounded by mountains, with gray and white roofs reflecting the neatly planted tea trees on the hills. If there is no road contact between Unicom and merchants, this place must be an enviable paradise for outsiders. There is a pavilion on Chashan, and there is an "S"-shaped path next to the pavilion. It is matched with tea gardens, distant mountains and big trees. The shooting effect is very good. Its fascinating to go to the tea mountain on a rainy day. Come to Longjing Village, don't forget to wear an old-fashioned dress, take photos with tea gardens and gazebos as the background, and shoot a group of the most Hangzhou-style photos!
The focus of the shooting is on the mountainside on this unknown pavilion. The pavilion gathers the cool breeze on all sides. When the old seller sells the ten-mile mountain road, he is tired. He also sits in the pavilion like us. Surrounded by rolling terraces, there is an illusion (mistakes) away from the rivers and lakes.
Go to Longjing Village generally passes through the Tea Museum. There is a small stream at the entrance of the museum. The purple leaf plum on the spring shore is beautiful when it blooms. There is also a large flat tea garden at the entrance. The nearest bus stop to the Tea Museum is the Shuangfeng and Lijijiashan stations. In addition, the Tea Museum has a branch in Longjing, and the photo taken after the branch is also good.
location
Longjing Village, located in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the southwest of the West Lake Scenic Area. It is surrounded by mountains and is surrounded by mountains and high and low. The village has a permanent population of more than 800 people and has nearly 800 acres of alpine tea gardens. In the northwestern part of the village, the northern peak, the Lion Peak and the Tianzhu Peak form a natural barrier that blocks the northwest wind. To the south is Jiuxi, the valley is deep and wide, and it goes directly to the Qiantang River. The southeast wind in spring and summer is easy to enter the valley. The geographical condition of ventilation and ventilation provides a unique advantage for the growth of Longjing tea.

The Longjing tea produced here is the first of the "lion, dragon, cloud, tiger". According to legend, when Emperor Qianlong went down to Jiangnan, he once tasted West Lake Longjing Tea at Hugong Temple under the Lion Peak Mountain in Longjing Village. After drinking, I was full of praise and sealed the 18 tea trees in front of the temple as Olympic Tea.
I have been healed by hiking! It turns out that what makes me nostalgic is also hiking! The spring tea of Longjing in April has already been harvested
I have been healed by hiking! It turns out that what makes me nostalgic is also hiking! The spring tea of Longjing in April has already been harvested, and Hangzhou has more to offer than just the West Lake. I highly recommend the hiking trails in the Longjing tea gardens. Hangzhou | It's the most beautiful season again in Longjing Village
Today is the day for the tea-picking girls...
April in Longjing Village is really too beautiful!
Every April, Longjing Village is full of vitality in the tea gardens, making it perfect for family trips. Last year, when we came, An'er was still too small, but this year she can already walk around by herself. However, the ten-mile Langdang route is still quite challenging, as it's not possible to bring a baby stroller. So, we'll leave that wish for next year, as there's new growth every year!
📌 During holiday times in Hangzhou, it's basically impossible to park in the scenic areas, so I recommend parking at the Huanglong Sports Center and then taking a taxi to Longjing.
📌 When returning, it's basically impossible to hail a taxi, so I recommend walking a distance before taking a bus, because the buses within the scenic area have long queues.

Strolling through the tea gardens, you are greeted with a vision of lush greenery that is utterly refreshing and pleasing to the soul.
You can take a taxi directly from Hangzhou East Railway Station to the entrance of Longjing Village. Walking past the Longjing Village archway and along the road, you will see vast expanses of tea gardens. If it's after the rain or slightly raining, the atmosphere is probably even more poetic.

And see rows and rows of tea fields at a glance.
Early April is the most beautiful tea picking season, but it is not recommended to buy tea here.

Longjing Village in March is a true fairyland
🌲You must visit Longjing Village in March. The weather in Hangzhou at this time of the year is still cold, but it's already the harvest season for Longjing tea.
🌲Mingqian Longjing, refers to the tea leaves picked before the Qingming Festival🍃. At this time, the tea, with one bud and one leaf just unfolding, has a rich and lasting taste.
🌲March is just before the picking of Mingqian Longjing, so if you visit the tea garden at this time, you can see the lush appearance of the tea trees.

🌿Free admission🆓, open all day
🌿Parking available🅿️
·🌲800 acres of high mountain tea garden, half of which falls into the eyes of people, and the other half is hidden in the mist after the rain. Longjing Village by the West Lake, before the start of Mingqian picking, is shrouded in mist, like a fairyland. This is the original place of 🍃West Lake Longjing.
🌲The tea garden is based on tea trees, which is very photogenic, especially for aerial photography.
🌲March is a bit cold, so keep warm. If you come on a rainy day, you can see this misty scene. ☀️On sunny days, it will be slightly warmer, and you can also see some local residents picking tea.
🌲This is the filming location of the TV series 'Nothing But Thirty'. When you come here, you will find that it is more beautiful than it is portrayed in the TV series. There are tea rooms🍵 at the entrance of the village, with different prices. If you have time, you can sit down and taste it.
🌲Nearby are Shili Langdang, Yunqi Bamboo Path, and Meijiawu, which revolve around tea culture, and you can experience the elegance of traditional Chinese culture all the way.
Found another super unpopular hiking and cycling summer retreat in Hangzhou
Found another super unpopular hiking and cycling summer retreat in Hangzhou
The summer solstice has passed, and the temperature will slowly start to heat up. When traveling and playing, you have to start considering the problem of avoiding high temperatures.
Navigation: Xiaoshan District Dayan Mountain Scenic Tourism Resort.: No tickets required! P: Free parking!
I strongly recommend reading my previous notes on Huan Tan Village, because this place is just 2 kilometers above Huan Tan Village, and can be played together with Huan Tan Village! The last picture is marked.
Dayan Mountain has an altitude of 485 meters, dense forests, gurgling streams, fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle, and the average temperature is several degrees lower than the city.
The huge grassland can set up tents. After arriving at the Dayan Mountain Scenic Area, you can go up to the Dayan Temple. You can drive directly to the temple gate, or you can choose to park at the free parking lot halfway up the mountain and then walk up the mountain. You can take the main road or the stone steps. The climbing path. There is clear mountain spring water on the side of the climbing trail, pay attention to safety. The road directly to the temple by car is very exciting, all M bends, but this place is too unpopular and there are not many cars, so it's not a big problem to drive slowly.
The intensity of hiking to the top of Dayan Temple is not high, and you can reach it in about an hour. The whole journey is accompanied by greenery and mountain streams.
A bend near the top of the mountain can overlook the layers of mountains in the distance and the villa group below. (See Figure 6 for the perspective)
The points of this note and the previous Huan Tan Village can be played on the same day. You can walk around, take pictures, and buy some glutinous rice cakes in Huan Tan Village in the morning.
Happy New Year's Eve|Countdown to the New Year with the fireworks in Longjing Village
|Firstly, I wish everyone a happy new year and hope everything goes well in the new year❗❗❗Our New Year's Eve was spent in Longjing Village, Hangzhou, where we encountered a street full of fireworks. ✅Must-visit attractions
⛩️〖Lingyin Temple〗
On the night of New Year's Eve, February 9, we saw promotional information saying that we could enter Lingyin Temple for free. This is essentially correct, but there is a bundled sale, that is, the usual ticket for Lingyin Temple is 30 yuan, and when you enter the temple, the staff will charge 45 yuan for the Feilai Peak ticket.
Overall, my friend and I felt very comfortable.
⛩️〖Taoguang Temple〗
This was my first visit to Taoguang Temple. There were no sightseeing cars on the mountain, and my friend and I hiked up the mountain. When we reached the middle of the mountain, we saw the plum blossoms in full bloom, which was a unique sight in February.
🎆〖Longjing Village〗
Longjing Village is surrounded by many tea mountains. Usually, as soon as you enter the village, many villagers will bring out the tea they grow at home for sale. Because today is a special day, no one brought out their tea for sale, and only a few homestays were open for meals. As soon as night falls, you will see colorful fireworks. It's like a scene from a TV drama, which will be remembered for a long time at this appropriate time.
-
🍜Must-eat food
I personally think it's the coffee and desserts for afternoon tea, because we arrived at five or six in the afternoon, and it was quite late, so we had afternoon tea and dinner together.

✏️Practical Tips
When going out, it is recommended not to make too many travel guides, especially during New Year's Eve. It's best to just go wherever you encounter.

Longjing asks for tea
Longjing asks for tea
You are teaching yoga in Hangzhou,
The green waves of West Lake reflect the sunset.
The cool breeze gently announces the arrival of spring,
Looking far into the dragon year, flowers are blooming.
When I come to Hangzhou and have a little leisure, I always like to go to Longjing Village for a look and have a cup of Longjing tea. 'The world's famous tea is Longjing, and the top grade of Longjing is in Lion Peak.' When Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River, he tasted West Lake Longjing tea at Hu Gong Temple at the foot of Lion Peak Mountain in Longjing Village. After drinking, he praised it and sealed the eighteen tea trees in front of the temple as 'Imperial Tea'.
Driving on Longjing Road, opening the car window, the refreshing wind is like the spring breeze coming slowly, and I have long forgotten the cold winter.

Halfway through Jiuxi + Longjing Village over the mountain + Sudi from north to south
Hangzhou is indeed beautiful
Starting from Wengjia Mountain Homestay to Longjing Village over the mountain to the north to reach Shang Zhong Xia Tianzhu all the way down the mountain to the east passing through Zhaogong Causeway and Yanggong Causeway from the north into Sudi
The route is relaxed and comfortable, with a view every ten steps
Enjoying the autumn in Hangzhou's Jiuxi, the brilliant maple leaves bloom like oil paintings
Jiuxi Yanshu is located under the west chicken crown ridge of West Lake, with nine streams dyed red by maple winding around the valley. Along the winding path, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the peak and clear spring reflecting each other. Under the sunlight, the maple leaves emit a transparent deep red, like a beautiful scroll. Here you can freely shoot these beautiful scenes, and also enjoy plenty of fresh air. The stream is clear and visible, flowing directly through the bluestone road, giving a unique feeling.
✅【Travel Mode】
🚗Self-driving navigation to 'Jiuxi No.1 Parking Lot', which is a multi-storey parking lot. From here, it's about 300m to the small waterfall shooting point, which is not far from the entrance; try to go early, there are basically no parking spaces after 10 am.
🚌For buses, there are routes 4, 103, 202, 189, get off at Jiuxi Station.
🗺️Recommended hiking route:
Jiuxi Bus Station-Jiuxi Yanshu-Jiuxi Eighteen Streams-Longjing Village-Yangmeiling
📸Photo spots:
Jiuxi Yanshu
A popular tree standing proudly in the lake. The reflection of the red maple and the green wave lake water create a very artistic scene.
Jiuxi Eighteen Streams
Along the sides of the stream, the autumn colors of the forest are intoxicating. This is a great shooting spot, especially those places mixed with small bridges.
Longjing Village
This Longjing Village is full of green tea. In the tea garden, there will occasionally be lonely ginkgo and maple trees accompanying, and the green tea leaves bring a poetic atmosphere to the whole scenic area.
White wall of the Buddhist temple roof
Next to the incense-filled Buddhist temple, the autumn colors and religious atmosphere form a perfect fusion. The white wall with the architecture of the temple highlights the feeling of tranquility.
Yangmeiling
The section to Yangmeiling has Li'an Temple, which used to be a small attraction, but now it's a restaurant called Jing'an Restaurant. The dishes in this restaurant are also very delicious. Although the price is expensive, it is still worth the money. You can try it. The entrance is also installed with quaint small lights, which are very atmospheric in the mountains, like fireflies.

✔️The scenic area is often congested on weekends, so it is recommended to take the bus.
✔️Bring your own water and snacks, the mineral water inside is priced at 3 yuan, eat enough to start with full strength
✔️Wearing comfortable shoes is also important, because the whole hiking process will be hot, and a light and easy-to-take-off jacket is also very practical.
✔️It's best to go to the scenic area on a sunny day, so that the light is sufficient, the maple leaves in the sun will emit red light, and the light and shadow effect of the small waterfall is also very charming.
✔️Sisters who can't walk can take a sightseeing car, there is one at the entrance of Jiuxi
💰Single ticket: 1 station 5 yuan/person 2 stations 8 yuan/person 3 stations 12 yuan/person
⏰Time 9:00-17:00
In short, the autumn of Jiuxi is very beautiful. The sunlight through the maple leaves sprinkles on the ground, creating a picture-like scene, which makes people sigh. If I have the chance, I must come here for a hike. The green vegetation here exists for a long time, and the color changes in autumn, forming a spectacular picture of red and yellow interlacing. The red of the maple leaves and the flowing water are interesting, intoxicating. Along the way, you can also enjoy the ancient road through the stream, the trees that have experienced wind and rain, and the lush tea garden. It's really a natural oxygen bar, not only can satisfy visual enjoyment, but also bring fresh air to the lungs. If you're lucky, you can also encounter the misty rain, as if you are in a fairyland.
The dreamy teas gardens of Hangzhou
Longing village
In the heart of the Hangzhou mountains one can find some of the most unique tea gardens.A lovely way to spend the day when in Hangzhou as its not far from the west lake. I would however highly recommend taking a bike up there as the traffic can be verybad. The beautiful mountains and winding roads are a fan adventure. Once at the tea garden one can walk around the gardens and get food at one of the many restaurants. I would recommend going early as it can get busy and hot.
