The Luxor temple is one of the main attractions of Luxor and is located in the middle of Luxor on the east bank of the Nile. The impressive statues and structures definitely makes this place worthwhile to visit. I would recommend visiting the temple during the evening, as the temperature cools down a bit. The lightened up statues during the evening paint an beautiful image. From the Luxor temple it is also possible to take a close look at the Avenue of Sphinxes that connects Luxor temple with the Karnak temple complex.

Luxor Temple is a popular and impressive temple which you should visit if you are in Luxor. Expect to spent between two to three hours in this site. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. I strongly recommend to visit this place during the day and during the night time, the lights makes the whole place to look stunning. There is no need to hire a guide, however, if you are into egyptian culture and want to know more about the history beahind, then you might need one. Luxor Temple (Luxor Amon Temple) proves the glorious past of Luxor.
