Lushun Museum
The Lushun Museum Scenic Area, the Lushun Museum was built by the Japanese in 1902 as the original Kwantung Hall Museum. The 'Yellow House' was the former headquarters of the Kwantung Army. Picture 5 is the Sino-Soviet Friendship Monument. Picture 6 is the main museum building. Unfortunately, it was closed for renovation starting March 1st, so I just casually visited the annex and basically missed seeing the museum's most treasured exhibits.

The Lushun Museum is a national first-class museum
The small Lushun Port is just a district of Dalian, but the building of the Lushun Museum itself is very historical and artistic. It was transformed by Japan in 1916 after occupying Dalian in 1905, based on the unfinished officer's club of Tsarist Russia. It is the former site of the 'Kwantung Hall Museum'.
The exhibits in the museum not only include pottery, bronze, porcelain, jade, lacquer, calligraphy and painting, wood carving, ivory carving, etc., but also two mummies unearthed in Xinjiang. Isn't that amazing? This is rare in domestic museums.
The display cabinets here are also a major feature, all of which are pure solid wood display cabinets, which are different from other museums, giving a sense of simplicity and heaviness, which complements the old architecture of the museum.
