Macau trip with kids
Fisherman's Wharf⛵️—Cultural Centre—Art Gallery—Science Centre
This route is perfect for a day trip, all within the same area. It's not tiring for the feet, and the kids are happy too! However, it's not recommended for very young children. It's better for kids in 3rd grade and above, as they understand a lot and it can be a history lesson for them! Macau now has many common leisure areas, which are great! The only issue is that hailing a taxi is difficult, you can use the WeChat mini-program: Macau Taxi Call.

Macau Science Center: A Fun Day Out for Kids
Living in Zhuhai, I don't want to miss the bi-monthly Macau visa . I have to make the most of it, haha, so I decided on a whim to do a Macau commando day trip. Today's check-in is at the Macau Science Center.
How to get there: We went from Gongbei border crossing to the Macau Sands by 🚌, got off at Macau Sands, and then walked there, about 400 meters away. You can do the same from other ports, after all, it's free of charge 💰 Of course, taking a taxi or bus is also possible.
Buying tickets: We had some Macau 💵 left over from before, so we paid in cash. The exhibition center charges 50🇲🇴 for adults and 15🇲🇴 for children over two years old. Later I saw that on dazhongdianping, the adult ticket is 28.5 RMB, which everyone can choose for themselves. Children under two are free. There is also a planetarium where you can watch 2D3D movies, which we didn't see. There's also a children's world at the entrance, where babies are charged 35🇲🇴 and one adult can accompany for free.
Playing: Actually, the exhibition center alone is enough for my three-year-old to play for two to three hours. There seem to be 14 exhibition halls, and the content is very rich and interactive. My child could participate in almost everything, so we stayed in each hall. Time flew by, and two hours passed without us noticing. Later, because she was a bit hungry, we went out to eat. Otherwise, playing for another hour would have been no problem. If you bought a package ticket and want to go out to watch a 2D movie in between, don't throw away the exhibition center ticket; you can go back in to play. But since we only bought the exhibition center ticket, we couldn't re-enter. However, we had a great time as it was.
About eating: I saw that there are snack and drink carts near the heart-shaped tree at the entrance, and there's a McDonald's inside where you can enjoy the sea view while eating. The mood is very nice, and the McDonald's in Hong Kong and Macau have many foods that are not available on the mainland, which taste super good. I highly recommend trying it.
⚠️ There is a water play area inside, and many children don't follow the rules, splashing water everywhere, so it's a good idea to bring extra clothes for your child. The air conditioning inside is quite strong, so bringing a jacket is also necessary. Next to the science museum is the Guanyin Statue Seaside Park, which has a large area for kids to play. We went during the day, and it was too hot, so we plan to go back in the autumn. Overall, the Macau Science Center is very suitable for taking kids to play.

Macao Science Center Day Trip
Check in at Macau Science Center.
📍Detailed address: Avenida do Dr. Sun Yat Sen, Macau
It is recommended to take a taxi for a parent-child trip, as there are many people on the bus and the drivers here drive quite fast with many bends!
We took the "Fa Cai" bus to get here, first went to the "Fisherman's Wharf", which is just across from Sands, and then walked for more than ten minutes to get to the Macau Science Center.
Adult ticket, 50 yuan per ticket, child ticket 15 yuan per ticket. Closed every Thursday.
At the entrance, there is a children's playground that requires separate purchase at the lobby window for 35 yuan/person.
The Macau Science Center was designed by the renowned architect I.M. Pei. The heart-shaped tree is a must-see and perfect for taking beautiful photos! For friends who love taking pictures, the area outside the exhibition hall by the seaside is really stunning! There is a restaurant on the first floor, and after eating, visiting the exhibition halls is also a wonderful experience.
seraphine_raven_92
This center has 14 exhibition halls in a row. With the accessible layout, you'll hardly even feel like you're climbing stairs. The planetarium in the shape of hemisphere offers a fantastic visual experience. The Internet-famous heart-shaped tree at the gate makes a great photo backdrop.
