Mainin is Europe's first all-glass-decorated high-rise building. In fact, she is composed of two tall buildings embedded in each other, 170 meters high and 200 meters high. The exterior of the building is all made of non-reflective glass. The building is protected by cultural relics, so it retains its front. So the Main Tower is also a combination of history and modernity.
Whether you are a tourist or a local, you really like to come here because she is the only high-rise building in Frankfurt that has a public sightseeing platform and restaurant. Standing on the observation deck, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city.

The Main Tower in Frankfurt, Germany, is a round glass building. It is very beautiful. It is beautiful to stand on top of the night view of Frankfurt. Fortunately, I just got on the roof, and finally the sun shines in front of me. The light shines over the sky above Frankfurt, very beautiful, and when the sun slowly dissipates, the night of Frankfurt comes out and the lights are smashing.

City-break in Frankfurt 🇩🇪
#summerdestinations
I recently took a city break in Frankfurt, and it was such a pleasant surprise! Known as a financial hub, Frankfurt has so much more to offer than just skyscrapers. I spent my days wandering the charming old town, especially around Römerberg, with its half-timbered houses and historic Römer building. The vibe was lively, and there were plenty of cozy cafes and shops to explore. No entrance fee here, just a lot of character and charm.
The Main Tower was another highlight – for 10 EUR, you get panoramic views of the entire city. It’s the perfect spot to take in Frankfurt's unique skyline, a blend of modern high-rises and traditional buildings. Don’t miss a stroll along the Main River or a visit to the Städel Museum, which showcases stunning art collections. Frankfurt effortlessly mixes history with modernity, making it an ideal destination for a quick getaway. 🏙️☕ #trip #FrankfurtCityBreak #OldTownCharm #SkylineViews #MainRiverStroll #CulturalEscape

Artistic Frankfurt: A touristic marvel picturesque 🇩🇪
Old Opera House Frankfurt 🎶
The Old Opera House in Frankfurt, built in the late 19th century, is a magnificent building that stands as a testament to classical architecture and cultural heritage. Though it was almost entirely destroyed during World War II, it was meticulously restored in the 1970s. Today, it serves as a premier venue for classical concerts and various cultural events, attracting world-renowned musicians and orchestras and delighting music lovers from around the globe.
Römerberg Square 🏛️
Römerberg Square is the historic center of Frankfurt and one of its most iconic attractions. This square was the heart of Frankfurt during the Middle Ages and still retains many of its old buildings. The "Römer," located at the center, is the city's town hall dating back to the 15th century. The square is also surrounded by well-preserved half-timbered houses, transporting visitors back to medieval Germany.
Frankfurt Cathedral (Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus) ⛪
The Frankfurt Cathedral, or Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus, is a striking Gothic building constructed in the 13th century. It was historically significant as the site of the coronation of Holy Roman Emperors. The cathedral houses many precious works of art and historical relics, and its bell tower offers a panoramic view of Frankfurt, making it both a religious center and a symbol of the city's rich history and culture.
Main Tower 🌃
The Main Tower, one of Frankfurt's landmarks, stands 200 meters tall and offers the best vantage point to overlook the entire city. Visitors can reach the observation deck, situated 200 meters in the air, in just a few seconds via a high-speed elevator. The deck provides a stunning 360-degree view of Frankfurt, which is particularly breathtaking at night when the city lights up in a beautiful display.

Pretty good hotel for the price. Bed is comfortable enough and it was located near where we were heading to. If you’re planning on visiting the city area then this wouldn’t be ideal.

View from above - Frankfurt edition
A rooftop view is always something to look out over and enjoy. Frankfurt was no different for me, offering views and fun things to do in my time there.
Main Tower is in the midst of Frankfurt city centre (and currently next to a huge building site). To visit this rooftop and observation deck, you’ll need to walk into reception and buy a ticket. For access to the 56th floor, it’s €9 and there’s no time limit.
Oddly, the lift goes to floor 54 and then you can walk up the steps from there or there is a second lift to help you finish that trip up. There’s a mid level barrier around the observation deck, so be wary when on the edges.
