In Ximending, there are 3 shops located all around called the new mala hotpot, where this is popular due to its very affordable friendly prices. For about 50sgd, you are able to not only get seafood but also a marbling beef of A8 - A9 grade where they will slice it thinly and presented in quite a nice photogramamble way. The seafood here are also really fresh.
And this also comes with a wide variety of drinks which also include Taiwanese beer! For dessert, they have 2 popular brands, from hagen daz and movenpick where there are more than 30 flavours to choose from!

How to not have a meal of mala hotpot when in Taiwan?!
We had to try the 马辣 literally translated to Mala Hot Pot Ximen Branch for our last meal in Taiwan. This is a super popular spot so much so that we had to make a reservation even weeks before our trip! This place was one of the best (if not the best) hot pot places I have been to. I appreciate the orderliness of seating customers (no walk-ins!) and ordering soup bases and meats (via mobile!). Everything including ice cream and beer is basically free flow ! We really enjoyed our meal here !
