Located in Xingyi City, Guizhou, the Maling River Gorge is deep and rapid, with hanging walls like weaving, silver waterfalls flying down, and the gorge is characterized by fissure valleys, group waterfalls flying horizontally, and calcium carbonate wall hangings. The gorge is 74.8 kilometers long, 50 to 150 meters wide, 120 to 280 meters deep, and the bottom of the gorge is 200 meters below the ground. It was rated as the second most beautiful karst gorge by 'China National Geographic'. The Maling River Grand Waterfall, known as the 'most beautiful wound on earth', is a typical karst topography. The Maling River rushes through the cracks in the mountain walls, and the water on both sides pours down to form several waterfalls. The mist is filled with mist, like a fairyland. People can also walk under the waterfall to experience a real water curtain cave. Transportation It takes 4 hours to drive from Guiyang. You can choose to take a bus directly to the scenic area, or take a taxi to the scenic area after arriving at Xingyi Railway Station. Malinghe

Malinghe is a small city located in and around the Guizhou border with Yunnan. While not the easiest spot in Guizhou to get to, it’s Yangshuo/Guilin-like mountainous landscape but without the mountains of people makes it a relaxing spot to spend the weekend. With the Malinghe waterfall canyon you also get one of the coolest canyons in China. Walk down to the bottom and you’ll find yourself along a refurbished path with waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the canyon. Just be sure to check the weather beforehand. We went during the dry season and while you could tell it would be impressive during the rainy season, it wasn’t quite as impressive at that moment. #waterfall#naturalwonders#hiking

However, the attractions of Maling River will not disappoint. It is known as a 'beautiful scar on the earth.' The scenery varies, with large and small waterfalls splashing. You need to use an umbrella or wear a raincoat to walk through the waterfalls, but in summer, you will enjoy being splashed by the water, feeling cool and refreshed. Walking and enjoying the scenery with laughter and joy, you won't feel tired. Although your feet may hurt when you return to the hotel, you will feel a great sense of accomplishment! The canyon is located in Xingyi City, Qianxinan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, 6 kilometers away from the urban area of Xingyi City. How can there be such a city with so many attractions, yet the whole city (except the downtown area) is so leisurely and quiet? Every staff member at the attractions is patient and friendly, especially kind and loving towards children. Our top recommendations are Maling River Canyon and rafting. Rafting is incredibly exhilarating, as if you have entered a game scene, with waterfalls cascading down and waves swirling in front of you. Even a seven-year-old can play, and there are five or six boatmen ensuring safety. Jilong Castle is a niche attraction with few visitors, and most reviews say it's not cost-effective, but we found it quite nice. It's great for taking photos, and there's a cliffside walkway to explore. We stayed at both the Mushroom Hotel and the Treehouse Hotel. If your kids are older, I personally think it's unnecessary. You can find a comfortable homestay in Wanfenglin. If we go again, we definitely won't bother changing hotels and will just stay leisurely in Wanfenglin. Xingyi, a city worth visiting again!

Maling River is a magnificent mountain body, formed by six winding tributaries, like a silver dragon weaving through the myriad peaks, connecting more than a dozen breathtaking natural landscapes, creating a series of stunning landscape paintings. Taxi or drive to: Xiaoqingshan West Gate. You can choose to walk or take the elevator for a short distance, but I personally recommend walking because it takes less than ten minutes to walk down to the bottom of the elevator (all well-paved stone steps, quite easy to walk), and the elevator costs 40 yuan per person, which is unnecessary (unless for the elderly or friends with knee problems). Dachaiwo North Gate: Currently closed (recently during the high water period, it is said to remain closed). Tickets: Maling River Canyon 70 yuan per person, elevator 40 yuan per person. Notes: There are a few times when you will pass under or through waterfalls, and the mountain body will also have many water droplets dripping down. The mountain spring water is really cold, so friends who are afraid of the cold or don't want to get wet are advised to bring raincoats or umbrellas (they are also sold at the entrance of the scenic area). For those who are afraid of the heat, the water splashing on your body will feel super cool. Maling River Canyon is worth it! When we went, only the Xiaoqingshan entrance was open (the rafting also gathers here), so we had to return the same way (not familiar with the Dachaiwo entrance). Tickets: Adults $70/person, round-trip elevator $40/person. Children under 1.4 meters are free (including tickets and elevator). The canyon is not very large, and the entire tour takes about 2-3 hours. If you don't take photos at the Sky Mirror near the Ten Thousand Horses Galloping Waterfall, 2 hours is enough. Enter from the Xiaoqingshan entrance, walk down a few flights of stairs to the elevator entrance. Take the elevator to the bottom of the canyon. Currently, there is only one path in the canyon, follow the path up and down the stairs all the way forward, and at the end, you will reach the Ten Thousand Horses Galloping Waterfall. After visiting the Ten Thousand Horses Galloping Waterfall, return the same way. If you don't want to get wet, it is recommended to bring an umbrella or raincoat. Inside, there are two exhibition rooms, recording the Buyi customs and humanities. The museum does not charge an admission fee, and even during the May Day holiday, there are very few visitors. The entire exhibition hall is not large, and it's quite comfortable to walk around, stop and take photos.
