Where is the best place to stay in Bali?
Now, let's talk about the central and northern regions, which are suitable for those who have a 💤4-5 night vacation. You can choose a double hotel and experience a different Bali.~
.
Ubud
If the magnificent southern sea view is the charming appearance of Bali, then Ubud is definitely the spiritual source of Bali, with picturesque jungle terraces, temples and palaces, traditional handicraft markets, where you can catch a glimpse of Bali's millennium romance.
.
✨Recommended hotels
-Mandapa, the flagship representative of L'Occitane
- Shan Yan four seasons, four seasons powder heart destination Jerusalem.
Banyan Tree Hotel, no doors or windows, avant-garde design
- Jiapei Le, the ceiling of the Wild Luxury Tent
-Anman Daining, Shenya Society drumming, who can ask, old is Lianpo~
.
Shanur
This is the birthplace of Bali tourism 30 years ago. When the gorgeous sunset of Kuta falls, the surging tide of Uluwatu recedes, the clear water of Kuta Beach is intoxicating, Ubud is a secluded retreat, and Sanur is the best place for gentle and peaceful travelers to pursue the old times.
✨Recommended hotels
-Asia's first resort-style Andaz hotel
.
Manggis
As a small fishing village on the east coast of Bali, located between Mount Agung and the east coast, about 2 hours' drive from Bali International Airport, with such a dreamy location, there are two international resorts adjacent to each other, making it a niche choice.
-Alila Manggis
-An Man Qiu Lan
.
🍀Of course, there are also good attractions like Lovina in northern Bali (to see dolphins) and Tulamben (for diving), but hotel resources are scarce. If you want to know more, you can ask the Little Window Junjun.

Don't miss out on this hidden gem in Bali with a whole valley to yourself.
😀 I've been to Ubud, Bali a few times, and I'm always impressed by the hotels and the beautiful scenery. This time, I stayed at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which is located in a secluded area.
😃 When you enter the hotel, you'll see a low-key lobby with a bit of history. But just a few steps forward, you'll find that the lobby is built at the highest point of the valley, overlooking the entire valley. Everything green in the valley is part of the hotel, creating a dreamlike wonderland. It's hard to describe the breathtaking view in words.
😊 Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has several restaurants, each located at different spots from the top of the valley to the bottom of the Ayung River Valley.
😇 The bar Ambar at the top is the perfect place to watch the sunset and overlook the entire valley.
😇 The all-day restaurant Sawah Terrace is hidden on the cliff of the valley, where you can see the Ayung River flowing through the lush greenery and the pool villas in the distance.
😇 The pool bar Poor Bar is next to the main pool, where you can enjoy the view of the pool and the terraced fields.
😇 The Kubu restaurant at the bottom is closest to the Ayung River, where you can see the rafting crowd passing by and greet each other.

Is there a better view of the rice fields in Ubud than this?
😇The combination of room design and scenery at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is another example of the "hidden world" concept.
😀Created over a decade ago by renowned designer Jeffrey Wilke and his DESIGNWILKES team, the entire valley has only 35 suites and 25 villas, each with a stunning view of the Ayung River, rice fields, or tropical rainforest.
🤩The hidden world has created a large rice field landscape in its own valley, with an Indonesian-style hut (decorative hut) and a completely open bamboo house (children's activity center) in the rice field, which can be seen from every corner of the resort.
😘Four of the pool villas have the best rice field views, and are the most "Ubud" style. The room design maximizes natural light, with large windows in the living room, at the head of the bed, on both sides of the bathroom, in the shower, and even in the walk-in closet. The 360-degree green landscape outside ensures that every window offers a view of Ubud.

Don't miss the stunning spa in the valley at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Bali!
Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is close to the lush rice paddies, winding paths, gently rolling hills, and scenic Ayung River of Ubud. We spent a few days here, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and felt a sense of peace and tranquility.
The two swimming pools and luxurious spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve are not to be missed! Especially the stunning spa in the valley. As a destination for health and spirituality, Bali has a long history of healing practices. The Mandapa Spa draws on these practices, and in the lush tropical rainforest of Ubud, accompanied by the sound of running water, a relaxing essential oil massage is a real treat!
In addition, some of the exploration tours outside the hotel are also worth experiencing. Explore the historic temples of Ubud, catch the sunrise at the top of Mount Batur, feel the land in your hands while planting rice, and take a vintage convertible from one village to another. Immerse yourself in the scenery, sounds, architecture, and culture of Bali to make your vacation experience even more rich and perfect.

Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Bali~Ambar's sunset and food are amazing!
Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, is the third Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the world. It is located in Ubud, the cultural and spiritual center of Bali. For thousands of years, Mandapa (meaning temple in Sanskrit) in Ubud has been famous for its art, handicrafts, temples, and natural scenery, providing a sacred spiritual support for believers. Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, combines the magic of Bali with the tranquility of a retreat, leaving us with an unforgettable experience.
The hotel is located in a dense jungle. To protect the natural environment, the hotel is surrounded by rice fields. This design makes the hotel return to nature. There are scattered rice fields and winding rivers, but no walls, allowing the body and mind to blend with nature. Smell the fragrance of rice, listen to the sound of water, let the warm wind blow on your face, and the sun shine on you. It is a kind of tranquility in seclusion.
The cuisine and decoration of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve highlight the rich flavors and natural resources of Ubud, Bali. Mandapa has very exquisite dining, which is a feast for the senses. The viewing experience at the highest point is especially wonderful! Ambar Ubud Bar is located at the other end of the cliff viewing platform. In addition to cocktails and special Japanese food, the sunset and daily live jazz music are also highlights. We stayed for three days and came here every night to sit for a while. The breeze passed through the canyon, and we had a drink. It was very pleasant.

The best hotel in Bali is undoubtedly the Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud!
The Reserve series is a villa-style resort brand created by Ritz-Carlton. The Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali, is the third Ritz-Carlton Reserve boutique resort in the world. It is located in Ubud, the cultural and spiritual center of Bali. The hotel is surrounded by dense jungle and rice paddies, preserving the natural elements and creating a tranquil retreat where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of the city, relax, and rejuvenate.
The entire hotel has no walls and blends seamlessly with the terraced fields and winding streams. Guests can enjoy close contact with nature and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel is filled with natural and rustic Southeast Asian landscaping art, with stones, flowing water, moss, green grass, and rice paddies creating a harmonious and beautiful natural atmosphere. The hotel's spa center offers a full range of health and wellness treatments, so be sure to indulge in a relaxing spa treatment during your stay!
After staying in the Mandapa Suite for one night, we moved to the stunning 430-square-meter One-Bedroom Riverfront Pool Villa. The pool in the garden and the living room are located right above the Ayung River, where you can occasionally see people rafting. The entire villa is luxuriously decorated in a traditional Balinese style, with a warm wood color scheme and high ceilings that make the space feel open and bright. Large, colorful Indonesian prints add a lively touch to the room, creating a luxurious atmosphere.

Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali is a must-stay hotel!
Ritz-Carlton Reserve is a high-end custom series of Ritz-Carlton hotels. There are only seven in the world, and Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Ubud, Bali, which opened in 2015, is the third Ritz-Carlton Reserve in the world. The hotel is located in the cultural and spiritual center of Bali: Ubud, in a pristine village, nestled among magnificent temples, with endless rice fields and the majestic Ayung River behind it, giving people a sensory feast of self-cultivation and closeness to nature.
The name Mandapa means temple in Sanskrit, and the name alone suggests that the hotel as a whole chooses to present a sacred and ethereal atmosphere in this Zen residence hidden deep in the Ubud terraces. The hotel is only a 10-minute drive from the city center, and the famous Tirta Empul Temple is only a 15-minute drive away.
I stayed in the Mandapa Suite, where the interior decoration is not only inspired by nature, but also uses sustainable and environmentally friendly building materials, all made from various natural materials from the local area. The designer also incorporates the theme of self-cultivation and closeness to nature throughout the design, not only the architecture is perfectly integrated with the surrounding natural environment, but also the suite interior can be opened to a window to get closer to the tropical natural landscape of Bali. Such a vacation atmosphere is really great!

As the plane slowly descended onto Bali, my heart began to race with excitement for the upcoming adventure. After a long journey, I finally arrived at the legendary Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.
As soon as I set foot on this land, I was speechless at the stunning beauty that surrounded me. The Ritz-Carlton Hideaway in Ubud, Bali
After entering the room, I was still stunned by the scenery in front of me. The swimming pool in the villa can be considered a real swimming pool, unlike those playful soaking pools in other hotel villas. Bali is not too hot before the dry season arrives, and soaking in the pool while looking at the wheat fields in front of me, it feels like the stress accumulated over the past few months is gradually fading away.
The view of the wheat fields was the reason I decided to book this hotel, and the scenery really gives a sense of seclusion from the world (although I admit it is indeed a high-end version of a farmhouse).
Since the swimming pool in the room is already perfect, the purpose of going to the main pool is purely to mooch free coconuts and fruits. After sitting down, staff will bring coconut water and other fruits, and later someone will come to hand out popsicles.
Another swimming pool of the resort is located on the top floor of the spa center, facing the Ayung River. This one is probably more of a soaking pool, and you can go straight downstairs for a Spa after soaking. The price of the Spa here is certainly not cheap, a 90-minute massage costs about 1000 RMB, but having a Spa while listening to the sound of the Ayung River (and the screams of rafting tourists) is really too relieving.

Promise me that when you come to Bali, you must visit the Ritz-Carlton Reserve at least once
Going to Bali was a spur-of-the-moment decision with friends. As hotel enthusiasts, we chose two hotels. One is the Bulgari Hotel, and the second is the Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The second hotel completely blew us away!
Our room type was a Villa, with an area of about 200 square meters. The Villa had two separate houses, one was the living room, and the other was the bedroom and bathroom, with a breathtakingly beautiful infinity pool in between. The pool was not small, much better than the tiny pools in many resort hotel rooms. There's no need to say much about the design; it ranks first among all the resort hotels I've stayed at. Both the butler service and the hotel facilities were amazing!
For breakfast, you could choose to have it delivered to your room or eat at the restaurant halfway up the hill, where the breakfast was tastier and offered a greater variety. Afternoon tea was served in a restaurant among the terraces, which had its own unique charm.
The hotel was built alongside terraced fields, offering incredibly beautiful scenery, and even the drifting rafts would pass by the hotel. The place where the hotel offers Spa treatments is right next to the drifting area, and having a Spa while listening to the sound of flowing water was extremely relaxing. I fell asleep during the Spa treatment; it was so relaxing.
The hotel's restaurant is very famous in Bali, and we managed to book a reservation after trying for two days. The meal lasted for about three hours, and by the time we finished, it was already past 11 p.m. It was delicious, and we didn't hit any snags!!!
If you want to truly relax and spend several days in the hotel, this hotel is definitely the first choice in Bali, it's so beautiful~

Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, hidden in Ubud, Bali
Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, hidden in Ubud, Bali.
There are only 5 Ritz Reserves in the world and staying here for the first time was truly shocking! It's too beautiful to capture on camera! It's expensive, but it's worth it! I was hesitant about going to Ubud because it doesn't have a sea and I'm afraid of bugs, but I've heard that if you go to Bali, you must go to Ubud. After much hesitation, I chose the Ritz in Ubud and I didn't regret it at all! Of the three hotels, my favorite is Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve! I highly recommend it to anyone going to Bali! It's too beautiful!
The hotel is located on a cliff and there are shuttle cars for transportation because the hotel is really big! The service staff are all very good and make you feel that every penny is well spent. The man who received us was like a hermit monk who would tie a colored rope for good luck on everyone. The whole process was slow and ceremonial, which I've never experienced before and I really liked it.
As soon as I entered, I was shocked by the landscape. Because it's on a cliff, it looks very grand from all sides. The dense green jungle is a sight to behold. I took countless pictures but couldn't capture even a fraction of its beauty. On the contrary, the pictures didn't do it justice, which was frustrating. But the hotel is a great place to take pictures, especially at the Ritz~
The room was also very big and beautiful, the best of the three hotels I stayed at in Bali! Oh no, it's the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life (of course, I may not have seen many or some people may not like this feeling~) Anyway, my boyfriend and I had a great experience! We didn't want to leave and the next hotel was a letdown. The room was very thoughtful and exquisite, with everything you need. Some people may not like the wooden furniture or think the color is too dark, but I think that might be the only minor issue with the landscape and room after you check in~
The hotel only has about 60 rooms, so you can really feel secluded! We met mostly Chinese people when we ate here during the National Day holiday. We also met two foreign families with Filipino maids near the pool. Although there were many trees, I didn't encounter many bugs, which made me happy. The hotel has French cuisine, Japanese cuisine, Mediterranean food, a temple, a children's play area, and offers rafting and yoga.
