I sat on a bench for a while, leisurely admiring the castle, imagining the warriors of the past who once guarded it. I went there at 8 p.m., but the ropeway was already closed. 🚡 I managed to climb the steep slope on my own and finally made it to the Honmaru Square in Shiroyama Park. The castle is beautiful during the day, but at night, the tower is illuminated. After sunset, the white walls stand out against the darkness. The shadows of the stone walls are emphasized, creating a more three-dimensional feel than during the day. 🌙🏯 The night view of Matsuyama city from Shiroyama Park was also beautiful. 🌃 [Notes for Night Visits] - The tower's entrance hours are until around 5:00 p.m. (varies depending on the season) - The castle is generally closed at night, so you'll mainly be able to view the illuminated tower from outside. - The ropeway and lifts also stop operating at night, so it's a fairly strenuous climb on your own. #MatsuyamaCastle
