Egypt is a nation filled with open-air museums everywhere!
Driving 500 kilometers from Cairo, you reach Luxor, where the attractions are divided between the East and West Banks. A must-experience is the hot air balloon ride at dawn, which only cost us a little over 400 RMB for two people, making it the cheapest hot air balloon ride in the world. After landing on the West Bank, you can continue to visit the Temple of Habu and the Valley of the Kings, which are very conveniently located. The main attractions on the East Bank are the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple. The Karnak Temple is the prototype for temple parkour, remember to go in the morning, or else the huge columns will quickly be out of light; the Luxor Temple can be visited in the afternoon and evening, as it is lit up at night, creating a mysterious atmosphere.
West Bank: Temple of Habu, Valley of the Kings
East Bank: Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple

The Most Stunning Temple In Egypt !
📍HABU TEMPLE, Luxor
Honestly one of the most amazing things that i saw on my Egypt trip. The temple is quite big (150m) and has some amazing hieroglyphs, the hieroglyphs are so easily visible and loads are carved very deep, i could nearly fit my whole hand in them. On some of the walls the colours are extremely vibrant still which was so cool to see :). The temple is located on the West Bank of the Nile and you would need a car to get to it, there are loads of taxi’s everywhere and they are pretty cheap too - if you negotiate.

Temple of Medinat Habu - Luxor
Temple of Medinat Habu is a popular landmark which you should visit if you are in Luxor. The recommended sightseen time is between one to two hours. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. It is more comfortable to visit this place in the morning or late afternoon as the weather is quite hot. Although it does not have so many visitors as other more famous sites in the area, having some quite time here is simply amazing. It is open to the public until 5:00 PM.

To improve comfort, we hired a tour guide. The experience was great. The tour guide helped us fend off salespeople. We chartered a car because we didn't want to wait for a car. It was too hot and we didn't want to be bothered. The driver followed us wherever we went, which was very convenient.
Egypt is generally safe. Almost all hotels require security checks. In addition to swiping a card to take the elevator in Cairo hotels, you also need to swipe a card on the floor where your room is located. It's very safe. Most of the things people say online are about locals temporarily raising prices. Just buy from reliable people.

Habu City | Luxor is a highly recommended attraction||This is one I highly recommend
| Luxor is a highly recommended attraction||This is one I highly recommend. Habu City | Luxor is a highly recommended attraction🌟||🌟This is a highly recommended attraction~ The buildings are well-preserved, and most of the murals still retain the colors from over three thousand years ago. It is also the only remaining colored temple in ancient Egypt, allowing us to more intuitively feel the magnificence of ancient Egyptian civilization.
📝The temple of Ramses III is the last large-scale construction project during the pharaoh's rule. It includes multiple areas such as the palace, workshops, storage rooms, and residences for priests and officials, showcasing the social life and economic development of that time.
The murals depict the king's great achievements in expeditions. To prevent future pharaohs from erasing or destroying his murals, they were deliberately carved very deeply, serving as an anti-counterfeiting measure.
The temple has 24 stone columns, each 23 meters high, with different deities carved on each column, reflecting the ancient Egyptians' piety and worship of the gods. The bases of the columns are carved with papyrus, symbolizing protection.
🎙️There will be guides at the entrance asking if you need an explanation (only in English). If you can understand, it is recommended to hire a guide to learn more knowledge that is not so widely available online.
📍 Medinet Habu (West Bank of Luxor)
🚗Transportation:
1️⃣ Take a ferry from the East Bank pier + taxi on the West Bank (shortest time + saves money)
2️⃣ Direct taxi from the East Bank (over 100 Egyptian pounds)
🎫Tickets: Buying electronic tickets online is the most convenient, allowing direct entry from the scenic spot. If buying tickets offline, the ticket office is still one or two kilometers away from the scenic spot.
💰Ticket price: 160 Egyptian pounds/person (the original price is 200 Egyptian pounds, recently several scenic spots in Luxor have an 80% discount for online ticket purchases)
🈺 6:00-17:00
At the moment when every ray of sunlight intersperses and falls on the wall, when you touch the stone wall, it feels like you have traveled back to ancient Egypt, possessing a mysterious and shocking charm.

✓【Camera Position Guide】
① Ramesseum
This is the scene described in Shelley's poem 'Ozymandias', where the 17.5-meter-high Ramses II lies desolately in the ruins.
② Colossi of Memnon
The 18-meter-high Colossi of Memnon is not a modern attraction; it was a famous sightseeing spot as early as the ancient Greek and Roman periods.
③ Medinat Habu
This temple of Ramses III is of great historical significance because it is the first place where the pharaoh established a connection with the god Amon.
④ West Bank of the Nile: Overlooking Karnak and Luxor on the East Bank
The west is the land of sunset, so the West Bank of Luxor is full of royal tombs and temples, while the East Bank is full of large royal worship sites.
⑤ Place of Truth: Overlooking the mountains of Luxor's West Bank
Valley of the Kings, Horn Mountain, the Great Cemetery of the Pharaohs, Place of Truth... these can all be considered real names of this place, but in modern archaeology, it is called the Valley of the Kings.
⑥ Valley of the Kings
Thebes (Luxor) West Bank has a vast number of tombs, and the tickets are not cheap. If you are pressed for time and don't know where to start, look for highlights. 'Lonely Planet' recommends the following:
Valley of the Kings: Tombs of Thutmose III, Amenhotep II, Horemheb, Seti I
Valley of the Queens: Amunherkhepshef, Nefertari
Noble Tombs: Nakht/Sennofer/Ramose
Deir el-Medina: Tomb of Sennedjem

David Roberts (1796-1864)
Born in Scotland, British painter, Royal Academician
In 1838, he began traveling to Palestine and Egypt. When he returned to England, his works were engraved by Louis Haji and published in six volumes.
All 248 engravings in the set were hand-colored: the first three volumes focused on Egypt and Nubia, while the latter three were travel albums of the Holy Land.
Moreover, his works from this Middle Eastern trip were pre-sold before he set off, and when he returned to England years later, they were published to great acclaim, earning him the favor of the Royal Academy.

Medinet Habu – Luxor's hidden gem
Medinet Habu – Hidden gem Medinet Habu Temple is not included in the boat trip along the Nile River. When coming to Luxor, most people will go to Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and 2 statues giant Memnon. But few people know that just about 2km from the Valley of the Kings is Medinet Habu - the hidden gem of Egypt.
The Medinet Habu temple has three halls, each located one after the other and the last hall has three entrances, one of which leads to where the boat of the god Amun is said to be. Medinet Habu plays an important role in understanding the life and dynastic background of Pharaph Rameses III. One of the most valuable things of this temple are the countless reliefs carved in stone on the walls and pillars. Every corner has a relief or a hieroglyphic inscription depicting history such as the war of Pharaoh Ramesses III with the Libyans, with the Sea People, the Amorite war, the scene of Rameses III praying and offering offerings to god Amun, Rameses III celebrates victory, gods and everyday scenes in ancient Egypt.

Habu City | The most underrated attraction in Luxor
| The most underrated attraction in Luxor.📍Habu City is definitely the most underrated attraction in Luxor. Compared to the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings, this place is rarely visited by tourists, but the colorful murals are very well preserved, and coming here is definitely a win.
⏰Opening hours: 6:00-17:00, visiting time: 1.5-2 hours
🎫Ticket
📍The place to buy tickets for Habu City (Antiquities Inspectorate Ticket Office) is quite far from the attraction (Habou city), so make sure to have the driver take you to the ticket office first, and then go to the entrance of the attraction after purchasing tickets.
📍Ticket price: 200 Egyptian pounds, card payment only, an additional 50 Egyptian pounds can be paid in cash.
🛕Habu City
📍Habu City is the mortuary temple of the great Pharaoh Ramses III, who was the last powerful ruler of the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt, and it was the last major construction project of the Pharaoh's reign.
📍Ramses III was renowned for his military achievements, repelling foreign tribes multiple times, but the wars also drained the finances, leading to the gradual decline of ancient Egypt.
📍The first gate of Habu City is the unique Libyan-style Migdol gate, which stands tall for easy observation and communication.
📍The second gate is the thick and majestic traditional Egyptian pylon gate, with reliefs on it depicting Ramses III's conquests and the offering of captives to Amun.
📍The columned hall of Habu City has been destroyed in an earthquake, and now only the huge column bases remain. However, the first and second courtyards still retain various Pharaoh statues, relief paintings, and even today, the splendor of ancient Egypt can still be glimpsed.
📍Since many tour groups do not visit Habu City, there are very few tourists here, making it an excellent place for both sightseeing and photography.

Ramesses III (1607 BC) was the second pharaoh of the twentieth dynasty of ancient Egypt, reigning for about 31 years. In the history of two thousand years, the culture of Egypt is remarkable and true, and Egypt is highly regarded in the world's leading country. But when Ramses III came to power, the world changed dramatically. The negotiations between Egypt and the Hittite, pioneered by Thutmose III and maintained by his successor, Ramses II, have given peace to the Middle East for a long time. But it came to an end here at Ramses III. The death of Ramses marks the end of an era, he is the last Pharaoh. Then Egypt began her recession.
The death of Ramses III is a mystery that is said to have been murdered by her wife to allow her son to be on the throne. According to historical records, the power seekers have won the throne, and Ramses III later succeeded the throne by the established heirs.
The Hab City/Hh/Mebnet (Medinet Habu) is the Temple of Ramesses III. In the Coptic era, there is a city of considerable size. The mausoleum is relatively well preserved, and its area is second only to the temple of Amon. It was the last large-scale construction project during the reign of Pharaoh and the monument to the last rich period of Egypt. Originally the royal residence, the first entrance was a place for ceremonies and entertainment, and the second entrance was occupied by the church in Ptolemy and Roman times.

If the color of the Valley of the Kings Valley is benefiting from the deep underground, it is even more amazing that the city of Habu, which is under the sun, can preserve such bright colors.
Helen..
Habu City was built by the last ancient Egyptian god Ramses III for the emperor---the 20th dynasty. (Ramasis II is a nineteen dynasty, two woods have a father-son relationship). Egyptian women's pharaohs Hatshepsut and Thutmose III have built temples here, and they have been expanded and transformed until the Ptolemy period. The temple built by Hatshepsut and Thutmose III was completely covered by the brilliance of the Temple of Ramses III, and the Temple of Ramesses III became the symbol of Habu.
