Meiji Jingu Shrine in Tokyo|A must-see when traveling independently
#TokyoAttractions
A must-see shrine in Tokyo ⛩️Meiji Jingu Shrine, there are two large torii gates at the entrances of North Sando and South Sando. I entered from North Sando. After passing the torii, there is a long road with asphalt roads on both sides of the road. In the middle is Shizi Road. I entered the main hall of Meiji Jingu Shrine at East God Gate. You can buy guards next to East God Gate and Nan God Gate.
After I entered the main hall, I was attracted by this tree. From a distance, I saw a big round tree, but when I walked up to it, there were two trees in front of me. It turns out that this camphor tree was already in Meiji Shrine in 1920, and it was a sacred tree that grew under the blessing of the gods. Couple Nan tied with a rope is said to bless marriage, happy marriage and harmonious family life.
We leave at Minamijinmon Gate and pass through the main shrine. We will see the largest wooden Myojin Torii in Japan, which is 12 meters high, with a distance of 9.1 meters between two columns and a column diameter of 1.2 meters.
The must-visit wine bottle wall has sake barrels on one side and foreign wine barrels on the other.
Meiji Jingu Shrine is free to visit, but Meiji Jingu Palace Gardens (Kyomasa Well and Iris Field) require an additional charge of 500 yen.
How to get there
1. Harajuku Exit (South Exit): JR Yamanote Line "Harajuku" Station
2. Daidaimon (North Exit): Toei Railway E Line Oedo Line "Dyodaimon" Station
3. Sannomiyabashi Exit (West Exit): Odakyu Line "Sannomiyabashi" Station

Meiji park Japan 🇯🇵
#traveldiaries
Meiji Jingu Gaien is a park in the heart of Tokyo with sports facilities and Tokyo's oldest baseball stadium.
Meiji Shrine Outer Garden is a Western-style garden in the Kasumigaokamachi neighborhood of Shinjuku Ward and the Aoyama neighborhood of Minato Ward in Tokyo.
Meiji Jingu is open every day from sunrise to sunset and has no admission fee. The shrine has one southern entrance and two northern, all of which are marked by towering torii gates. When visitors pass under the gates, which mark the separation between the sacred and secular world, it is customary to bow.

Meiji Jingu Shrine in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵⛩️
Japan has always been one of my bucket list destinations and last year I finally made it! Tokyo was my first stop and I was so excited.
📍 Take the metro to Harajuku Station and then walk 10 minutes through the beautiful park.
📸 There is a wonderful photo opportunity at the colourful sake barrels. Inside you can find many wooden gates too.
🎎 If you visit on the weekend, you might be lucky to see many people dressed in kimonos taking photos. There was even a wedding procession through the shrine when I was there!
