🏝Meryong Drum Town (Meryong is a transliteration of the Miao language, meaning "a place with dragons") is an open-air Miao culture museum in Hunan, which is large in scale and well-preserved. During the Wanli period of the Ming dynasty, it belonged to the Yongshun Xuanwei Envoy Yingqi, and during the Qing dynasty, it belonged to the Gushangping Hall Xiyingbao. 🏝In the 10th year of the Republic of China, it belonged to the Xiying Township of Guzhang County, and in 1981, it was established as Meryong Town. Mo Rong Miao Village
Mo Rong Miao Village, also known as Long Bi Zui Village, is composed of 13 Miao villages, with 17 villager groups, a total of 1018 households, and 5568 people. It is located at the junction of Jishou, Guzhang, and Baojing counties (cities), 20 kilometers away from the provincial capital Jishou, 22 kilometers away from Guzhang County, 130 kilometers away from Zhangjiajie, and 80 kilometers away from Fenghuang Ancient City.
