I have been to Shennongjia for three consecutive years. I took many detours the first year 😩 but the snow scenery was beautiful, the snow was soft, and I could ski 😎 I want to go every year.
To avoid wasting money, I plan to play like this this year ❗️ A four-day, three-night itinerary is just right, not too rushed, and the experience is full 🥰
DAY 1️⃣: Guangzhou → Xingshan Station → Muyu Town (accommodation)
There is only one train in the afternoon every day, and it is already 10 pm when you arrive in Shennongjia ❄️
DAY 2️⃣: Muyu Town → International Ski Resort → Muyu Town
Rent ski clothes in the town before skiing (about CNY 100, including ski clothes, helmet 🪖, ski goggles 🕶️, gloves 🧤, and turtle 🐢), and buy tickets at the ski resort, including ski equipment (ski boots and single/double boards ⛷️, beginners choose double boards, and cannot be changed after selection), and a deposit of CNY 500 💰;
There are three ski resorts, the international ski resort is large, and the experience is better 👍, it takes 1 hour from Muyu Town to the ski resort, you can book a free bus ✔️ or ask the homestay owner to help you contact a carpool ✔️
The price of the ski resort is different in the off-season and holidays, and it is cheaper to bring your own ski equipment ✅

DAY 3️⃣: Muyu Town → Dajiu Lake → Shennongding → Muyu Town/Homestay near the high-speed rail
Carpool from Muyu Town for about 2 hours, or buy a ticket to Jiuhuping at the passenger station 🎫, the driver will call you to get off halfway, and the station is the Shennongjia Tourist Distribution Center 🏠, buy a joint ticket for Shennongding and Dajiu Lake (CNY 130), and then take the scenic bus 🚌
The snow scenery of Shennongding is very beautiful, sunny days + snow scenery are more beautiful 🥰, you can also meet the sea of clouds and golden monkeys 🐒, if you have time, you can go to Guanmenshan at the foot of the mountain to see giant pandas 🐼;

DAY 4️⃣: Muyu Town/Homestay near the high-speed rail → Xingshan Station

We left Yichang today, passed by the most beautiful water highway, and entered the "mysterious Shennongjia." We visited Shennong Altar, Tiansheng Bridge, and Guanmen Mountain Scenic Area, and stayed overnight in Muyu Town. Autumn is in full swing in the mountains, and this is the most beautiful season in Shennongjia. There have always been legends of wild men in the Shennongjia Forest Area, and there have been many witnesses since ancient times. Influenced by the "mystery" and the legend of "wild men," I was worried that self-driving might not be safe. So, I joined a tour group for this trip, fearing that I might get lost in the mountains and be taken away by wild men, eaten alive, or forced to marry. That would be terrible. However, it seems that I was overthinking. The commercial atmosphere in the scenic area is already strong, the provincial roads are well-paved, and Muyu Town is a modern commercial town. For someone like me from the mountainous area of Zhejiang, the scenery is not particularly stunning. However, the dense beehives on the cliff of Guanmen Mountain in the third picture are quite unique. The two pandas in the Panda Pavilion were brought from Sichuan. According to scientific research, the true hometown of pandas should be here. The leaders were thoughtful and selected a male and a female, hoping they could reproduce and settle down here. However, the female panda is not interested in the male panda, and now they live separately. When put together, they fight. Tomorrow, we will go higher and deeper into the mountains. I heard it's already very cold up there, so the thermal pants and down jacket I brought will come in handy.

Then drive to the nearby Tiansheng Bridge, it's crowded on Sunday, the natural bridge cave is visible from the parking lot, similar to the Tianshan Three Bridges in Wulong, Chongqing, the waterfall and stream babble, follow the stream upwards, the forest is dense, the path is secluded, a cool breeze blows, sitting and eating snacks is also satisfying
In the afternoon, it's so hot🥵, still, set off for Guanmenshan, starting from the innermost Dani Hall, first see the axolotl, the science museum, the geology museum, the panda museum has a giant panda eating bamboo, the bee garden with hives hanging all over the mountains, the underground river hides the wine cave, kids would probably love this place

Summer Retreat Paradise - Shennongjia
Finally visited the long-desired Shennongjia!! A three-day, two-night trip, I can only say, it was worth it! 🚄 You can also choose to take the high-speed rail and get off at Xingshan Station (3 hours high-speed rail journey from Wuhan)

Tips: Although these attractions are not in the same place, they are not far apart. It only takes about 20 minutes to drive there.
🟠Tshengsheng Bridge: It is very suitable for summer vacation. Entering the scenic spot, you will feel cool and refreshing. Along the wooden plank road, you can enjoy waterfalls and strange caves along the way.
🟡Shennong Altar: The scenic spot is not big. There are many rare plants to watch on the mountain, and there is also a thousand-year-old tree. If you want to see the Shennong statue up close, you need to climb a long staircase.

In winter, it is suitable to hire a local driver's car, Shennongding + Dajiuhu, you can see all the snow scenery in one day. 💰The cost of chartering a car is 600, but it's worth it, the roads are all snow, and it's not safe to drive by yourself.
