Best Things to DoNo.4 of Best Things to Do in Nagasaki Prefecture

Xindi Chinatown is located in Xinchi Town, Nagasaki City. It is one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan alongside Yokohama Chinatown and Kobe Nanjing Town. There are about 40 Chinese restaurants and Chinese grocery stores on both sides of the street. The street is located on newly opened land that was reclaimed from the sea for the construction of warehouses for Chinese imported trade goods in the middle of the Edo period. There is a Zhonghua Gate at the entrances of the east, west, north and south of the cross road with a total length of about 250 meters, and the traditional Chinese orientation is carved. The animals of the gods are Qinglong, White Tiger, Suzaku, and Xuanwu. The slate route of Xindi Chinatown was assisted in the construction of Nagasaki's sister city, Fuzhou City. To taste Nagasaki food, when it comes to the food that represents Nagasaki, we have to mention assorted noodles (ちゃんぽん), which was first created by Mr. Chen Pingshun, the first-generation founder of the Chinese restaurant Sihailou, and gradually spread to other stores, becoming the representative of Nagasaki Sexual cuisine. There is also crunchy "pan udon", which is no less popular than assorted noodles. Why not visit Chinatown for a relaxing taste of Nagasaki's local flavors. Nagasaki Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the three major festivals in China. It is loved by people in Japan as the "Moon Viewing Festival". People celebrate the bright, round and beautiful "Mid-Autumn Moon" as a symbol of family reunion. . The 1,000 full moon lanterns that adorn Chinatown is a wonderful finale. Nagasaki Lantern Festival The Nagasaki Lantern Festival was originally a celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year in Nagasaki Xinchi Chinatown. In 1994, its scale was expanded and it became well-known throughout the country as a major winter scene. Every year from the 1st to the 15th day of the first lunar month of the Spring Festival, with Xindi Chinatown as the center, the streets are decorated with about 15,000 lanterns and images of various themes, presenting a dreamy scene, attracting a large number of tourists.
