Shenzhen Nanshan Park: Exploring the City's Light
Nanshan Park in Shenzhen may just be an ordinary leisure spot for many people, but for those who love photography and night scenes, it is a hidden treasure🌌. Let me reveal this mysterious place known as the 'ceiling for viewing night scenes'.
📍Location: Nanshan Park, Shenzhen
🧭How to get there: Navigate to Lihaichuncheng (Southeast Gate 1)
A roughly 45-minute walking route will take you to an excellent shooting location. Along the way, you can enjoy the charming views of Shekou seaside and Bao'an Ferris wheel🎡. Although there are some steep slopes on the way, don't worry, there will be places selling mineral water shortly after entering the park.
❗️Tips:
1⃣️The park turns off the lights at 21:30 in the evening, and the way back will be very dark. If you plan to climb at night, please allow enough time for the return trip.
2⃣️It is recommended to bring a telephoto lens to enhance the compression and visual impact of the picture.
3⃣️Bring a camping lamp to add storytelling and mood to your work.
In short, Nanshan Park is not only a good place for daytime leisure, but also a paradise for photography enthusiasts at night. Come and experience it, and record the charm of Shenzhen city at night!📸💫

A hike with stunning views of Shenzhen
Nanshan mountain is one of the easier hikes in Shenzhen and gives you some of the best views of the city. Located in Nanshan park the mountain isn’t very steep and has well maintained paths to the top. There are various places along the way to stop and rest, many with views out over the city.
When you reach the top you are able to see the full extend of Shenzhen all the way upto the downtown areas
of Futian and Louhu. Shenzhen spreads all along the coast up Shenzhen bay and this viewpoint is a great place to see the true extent of the city.
You can see Hong Kong across the bay and the Shenzhen bay bridge, behind the mountain you can see the airport and watch airplanes coming into land.
At the bottom of the mountain is Seaworld which is a great place for food and drink, a great spit to relax and refuel after the hike.
Head to Seaworld station on the metro and take the exits for the shopping mall and follow the signs for Nanshan mountain park.

Birdview of City Landscape - Shenzhen
Want fresh air and get more exercise in the city? Now you have a great choice in Shekou, Shenzhen - Nanshan Park (not Xiao Nanshan Park, though it's a beautiful place as well). It's a good place for a day/Half-day hiking tour where you can embrace the nature and enjoy the fantastic city landscape.
Overview: height 321M
Getting There - there are several trails to choose, if you have enough time, it's recommended to start from one end and get off from the other side.
Start place: Bieshu (taxi recommended, the place is on the mountain and taking a taxi will save more time)
Haiguan: Line 2 Shuiwan Station
Attractions - one of the best place to enjoy Shenzhen city landscape, and it is especially recommended for a sunset view.
We went there on a cloudy day so the light wan't that good, but still stunning view and I believe you will love it when you see it with your own eyes (pictures taking from Qitian Temple)
If you would like to view the sunset, it is recommended to start at least 1-2 hours before sunset.
Highlight spot - depending on the course:
1-2 hours trial (800m halfway): Bieshu Kou - Qitian Temple - Bieshukou
3-4 hours trial (1.7km halfway): Bieshukou - Qitian Temple - Yishou Temple - Nanshan Observation Deck
Or Haiguan Kou - Jishou Ting - Nanshan Observation Deck
Eac
* the stairs are a bit steep, so it is suggested to leave more time than expected.
Tips - there are few shop/restaurant on the mountain, so make sure to bring adequate water and food. Also make sure to take measures to prevent yourself from mosquitos in summer!

Hike and see HK
What if a little hiking 🥾 path, not so stressed can get you the view of HongKong while you're still in Shenzhen. Sounds exciting right 😁 ? Yes, that's what Nanshan park (南山公园) offers you. With a height of around 2000 metres above see level, you can get to this view point after some 40 minutes of hiking. One golden advice if you're a coffee lover, better buy one cappuccino or whatever soothes you; because there's no coffee shop or any little stores to buy stuffs. So it is better to plan ahead and spend your leisure time here. I would recommend to stay until sunrise and also enjoy the night view of the Shenzhen city.

Lots of stairs to get the top of the mountain. it will take 40-45 min if you didn’t rest on the way. Some stairs are steep so if you don’t do exercise much everyday, it might take 60 min to complete climbing. Make sure you take a bottle of water! bathrooms are on the way and they are clean so you don’t need to worry about that.
View was okay.
